The scene opens in the POW arena as the lights fade to black. The logo of S³ appears on the screen as "Devotion and Desire" by Bayside begins to play. The lights fade back on and standing on the stage with his arms spread in the air and a huge grin on his face despite taking a chair shot last week from his partner. Stevens is in jeans and a "Triple S" shirt. Over the shirt he has on a black leather jacket. He also has on his signature green tinted sunglasses and green bandana. Triple S makes his way to the ring highfiving fans on the way down. When he gets to the ring he slides in and walks over to the turnbuckle nearest the ring announcer. He poses for the crowd once more before hopping down and grabbing a mic from the ring announcer. His music dies down as he raises the mic to his mouth.
Shawn: Well I must be a psychic, I said Coban was gonna turn on me and look what happened. He did. I'm not suprised though, Coban siding with Rich, it's not like that hasn't happened for the last thirty n.M.a incarnations. Speaking of that I saw Rob Matthews has signed with POW.....so one can only guess what will happen there. Not like it hasn't been seen before. But while we are all sticking with the things we know best. Rich, Chester, Rob can be in their needing Men army or whatever its called. I will do what I do best, WIN MATCHES. See this week we have a little flip. Brock Hoyle is now going to be my partner, while Richie boy gets Chester.
Triple S removes his sunglasses.
Shawn: Look into my eyes Rich....you can have you're boy Chester watching you're back. It won't matter one bit because when First Rights comes, I will be winning the POW Heavyweight Championship. I have been screwed repeatedly out of title shots and my OWN title back in the UWL days, and now all I have in front of me is you and Chester......not a challenge. See now that I'm sure you two are working together I know exactly what I am dealing with.
Stevens stares right into the camera and gets a grin from ear to ear.
Shawn: A couple of whining bitches who come into every promotion thinking they are the hottest act in the world, when in essence, you are no where close to being hot. The n.M.a has been burnt out since the days of LWE, and even then the only reason they were labeled as such big stars is because Rob Matthews was running LWE......of course you're gonna get tagged as a franchise star when your "buddy" is running the place. And before you say anything, no one counts MPW for anything........I on the other hand....well let's face it.....UWL was my first break, and I did in four months what most guys can't do in their entire careers.
I collected win after win eventually reaching the UWL Heavyweight Championship, and with UWL closing I go down as the longest reigning, most fighting, and best champion that company ever saw. What do you think I am going to do for POW come First Rights? I promised to make this company bigger than I did for UWL. And everything will be even sweeter when its YOU Rich Morrison, that I beat to get that gold. You have been saying since I first met you in UWL that you think you can be a Heavyweight Champion.....well I didn't see you ever accomplish that in UWL, hell I don't think you even EARNED a title shot. Here, you just beat Chester Coban, and now I wonder if that was you telling Chester to lay down for you so you could get a free pass.
I had to beat a multiple time champion of EVERY catagory. And now look at the talent we have here. You are quickly going to be shoved aside Rich. Your time at the top, or lack thereof, is over. The reason you haven't been a top tier champion in over a year is because you aren't as good as your mouth says you are. I on the other hand am exactly what I say I am. I haven't once disappointed a crowd, I haven't once blown a shot I was given. Yeah FDCM beat me weeks before UWL shut down, but I was given a rematch because everyone knew he couldn't do it again. Now I am here in POW, and without UWL my complete focus is on becoming the POW Heavyweight Champion.
Triple S gets a huge grin across his face.
Shawn: The list of stars I have beaten continues to grow. Only a few more weeks left until Triple S has yet another Heavyweight Championship around his waist and another "major" star....and I use that term loosely when I describe Rich Morrison. Two runs within a year of each other, and I have yet to reach the pinnacle of my career. However, I know talking trash doesn't work with you Rich, you're ego is bigger than FDCM, Josh Eagles, and JTN's all combined......but I am still saying all of this now because I want to be able to say "I told you so" later on. I do know that rubbing success in your face pisses you off.....and that alone will make everything worth while. Not to mention once again being known as the best......
So see you boys in the ring, Hoyle and I are pissed off after last week. You thought you were doing damage to me? Well all you did was stir up the hornets nest and piss me off even more. You reignited a passion I thought I had lost......and at the taping you will get just a taste of that passion when I pick up the win there, and then you will get the full force when I beat you at First Rights......and it's not because I am "controversial"......not one bit.....no it's because I am SIMPLY f**kING SENSATIONAL AND THERE ISN'T A DAMN THING YOU CAN DO TO STOP ME!
Stevens spikes the mic on the mat as "Devotion and Desire" hits. Triple S jumps onto the turnbuckle and poses for the crowd as they chant his name. The scene fades to black as he stands on the turnbuckle with a smile on his face.
