Stepping out of the locker room after the POW show "Road to First Rights", Lance Erickson is looking unusually fresh, seeing as he didn't have a match. Throwing his little gym bag over his shoulder and a pretzel in hand, he makes the trek out to his Yugo. Just before he gets to the garage, he gets sideswiped by Greg Kilgreen, the POW interviewer, complete with a camera and a compliment of crew. Lance Erickson takes a bite out of his pretzel while Greg Kilgreen starts his impromptu interview.
Greg Kilgreen: Ladies and Gentlemen and POW fans everywhere! I'm here with Lance Erickson, young new sensation in POW for his first interview. How are you tonight Lance?
Lance Erickson: Well, I'm a bit hungry...(takes another bite)
Greg Kilgreen: Well...I guess that's getting taken care of...From what I've read in your bio, this is your first trip to the pros. How does that feel?
Lance Erickson puts a finger up while he finished chewing and swallows.
Lance Erickson: I don't know to tell you the truth. I mean, the fans are pretty awesome. Tell you what, I'll answer your question AFTER I've had my first match. But I guess it's pretty neat.
Greg Kilgreen looks perplexed because he's not getting answers anywhere near what he was expecting, but he continues on regardless.
Greg Kilgreen: Well, that's what I came here to talk about. You have your first match next week. But instead of a singles match, the old fashioned one-on-one, it's a tag team match. And you're being tossed into the ring with a guy you don't even know. What's your gameplan going into this?
Lance Erickson: Well, first of all, our opponents haven't been together either from what I can tell. So both of us are sitting there not knowing anything about each other. As for preparation, I'll do what I normally do and bust-ass. You don't think this manly body of mine is natural, do you? I had to work for this gorgeous physique.
Greg Kilgreen looks at Lance Erickson in disbelief. As if nobody would ever speak like that in person.
Greg Kilgreen: Right...I guess. What about your partner?
Lance Erickson: Oh, I'm sure he's a good guy. I'll tell him this though. I'll do my part if he does his. If that happens, then we're set. I don't care about Dave Hunter's previous experience or his "injury". To me, that just sounds like he's looking for an excuse when Macros and I molly-whop you guys at the show. Basically I'm telling you, Dave Hunter and Dan Real. Bring your best, because I don't want you two to say that you could've beat us if you'd actually tried.
Greg Kilgreen: Bold declarations from a rookie, but I hope to see what you and Macros bring to the table.
Lance Erickson: What? Do you doubt the integrity of a man who's muscles can do this?
Lance Erickson strikes a pose and then walks out to the parking garage after giving Greg Kilgreen the wink and the gun. Kilgreen stands there stunned for quite awhile before the camera shuts off.
