The Kiyoshi Japanese Cuisine and Ninjitsu Dojo in the Japantown section of San Jose, California...
In the basement of the best damn Ninjitsu dojo in the world (or at least the Western United States...) Our Hero - Reck Maverick is doing battle with a Kunoichi of his clan. These two know each other VERY well, hell - they were Tag Team Champions together in the now defunct CCWA... Long time Reckrophiliacs will remember her as Jayde Nightwood.
Finally the battle ends with both combatants laid out on the floor. A moments pause and BLAM! A double Kip up. They bow to each other, they deliver a double high-five.
Jayde - Glad to see you haven't lost a step Reck.
Reck Maverick - Yeah, I still rule! I still say you should have came to POW with me.
Jayde - Nah, after all that political non-sense last year I was glad to get out of the wrestling business. I'm way more content to help Master Kiyoshi run the dojo. He's been teaching me a lot of new things.
Reck Maverick - I can tell... Jeez, I just introduced you two a mere 6 months ago and ALREADY you're one of his best students... Well besides me of course.
Jayde gives Maverick a punch in the arm.
Jayde - You wish! I was just holding back Maverick!
Reck cocks an eyebrow in a humoured fashion and softly chuckles.
Reck Maverick - You shouldn't lie Jayde... It not to becoming of you.
She takes a second swing at our hero but this time he ducks under her arm and hooks his arms around her waist and lifts her up as if he was going for the Ninjetti-Plex. He walks around in a circle while she kicks and yells. Finally he puts her down. She looks at him with a ticked off look in her eyes and probably clenched teeth under her mask while Reck just laughs for a moment.
Reck Maverick - But seriously though Jayde... Thanks for giving me a hand to prepare for this match. This is as close as I have been to singles gold since MPW closed down 2 years ago.
Jayde - Hey no problem. I may no longer be in the game but we are still "The Radical Tandem that's Awesomely Random!" We've got to stick together. So who are these guys your battling again?
Reck Maverick - Well the first one is Jason Lee... While he is one of the only guys I actually have the weight advantage against... He's the one I have to watch for the most.
Jayde - Why?
Reck Maverick - He was trained by Shawn Stevens... One of the only guys I have never been able to beat. He is probably the main reason why I came back here to prepare. I think he may have the mental advantage over me... No doubt Stevens has given him tips on how to fight me. He knows how to beat me, but I don't know how to beat him.
Jayde - Oh come on now Reck. You know how to beat Jason Lee! I mean the only reason you never beat Stevens is because you only ever battled him in Tag Team matches, with freakin' Ragnarok and Catalyst as partners to boot! I mean not even Hercules himself could win a match with those two bums as partners! Like you said - You're ACTUALLY the bigger man for once! You can finally use your full range of Suplexs and stuff this time around but between us - I really don't think Lee will be on his normal game this time.
Maverick gives her a quizzical look.

Jayde - Possibly... But I was referring to the fact that this will be his first major event. He will likely pull out a few new tricks in order to set him apart from Shawn. Nobody likes to hear that they are a carbon copy of someone else!
Reck Maverick - So wait for him to mess up and...
Jayde - BLAM! Nighty-night Mr. Lee! Ok, who else is in this contest?
Reck Maverick - Dude named Cran Landom... It's... hard... to describe this guy. He claims to be a veteran of a war, I SWEAR I know him from somewhere, but I can't put my finger on it. He made be lying about his whole background, I KNOW he's lying about missing both his legs.
Jayde - I know how to describe him... and in one word to boot - PSYCHO!
Reck Maverick - I've looked into his eyes Jayde - I don't think he's insane... and I don't think he's lying about his background either. I mean my brother - Flap, said and did a lot of things the made people believe he was crazy but he was officially sane. I am not a concerned with his wrestling skills as much as I am with Lee, but I can't underestimate him Jayde.
Jayde - He's one of those all-power types right?
Reck Maverick - He's defined as a "Powerhouse Brawler"
Jayde - Reck - You fight those types all the damn time. You should be used to it by now but still don't know why you don't approach this match like a ninja and not a wrestler?
Reck Maverick - You mean the ol' "Elusive yet abusive" strategy?
Jayde - Yeah! Let them kick the crap out of each and then jump in and pin them.

Reck Maverick - Hey, I'll do WHATEVER it takes to win Jayde, but I will NOT break the rules to do it. I will take the fight to BOTH of those dudes and if I get my ass kicked so be it. They can BEAT me but they can NEVER DEFEAT me because the greater good always comes out on top.
Jayde - There's the confidence I was looking for! I don't doubt that you will WHOOP their asses all around Kansas City! Hey! Where are you going?
Reck walks across the room to his NINJA BACKPACK and pulls out something. He walks back to her and hands it to her. It's an airplane ticket.

Reck Maverick - I need you to come to come to Kansas City with me... There are rumours that an unknown group are planning to invade the show and I'm kind of on their sh*t-list, along with Shawn, Rich, Mr. Capaci and a newcomer called "Black." I need you to watch out for them during my match... and if they do show up, then for one last battle - Team Super Cool 2K6 will Rock & Roll, and steal the show!
Jayde - I told you I was done... damn it! Ok, I'll come with you to Kansas City, but only for one night! After that I'm coming right back here! You got it!
Reck Maverick - Thanks... I owe you one.
Jayde moves in close and puts her gloved hands on Maverick's chest.
Jayde - I plan to collect on that at some point... But until they know that we are coming...
Reck Maverick - ... To save the day!
Maverick goes to leave the room, but Jayde grabs his arm.
Jayde - Hey! Where do think you're going! The training session is NOT OVER YET!
She snaps her fingers and two ninjas, dressed similarly to Reck Maverick except they are wearing blue instead of Red, emerge from the shadows brandishing Nun-chuks and a Bojutsu. Reck looks at Jayde and grins under his mask and draws the BLADE OF LEGEND!
Reck Maverick - Prepare yourselves for MAXIMUM BLAMAGE!
Reck charges the Ninjas as the scene ends.
