We are currently on the plane flying from San Jose to Kansas City. It's night so a lot of the passengers are a sleep - including Jayde Nightwood, whose sleep-filled head rests on the shoulder of our Hero - Reck Maverick. He however is not sleeping. In fact he seems to have an audio recording device. Apparently recording his thoughts going into the Triple threat match at First Rights against Jason Lee and Cran Landom. He speaks quietly as to not wake the other passengers yet loud enough that the device... as well as us can hear what we is saying.
Reck Maverick - I have gained much insight into my opponents over the past week. I now know why I was so confused about this match when I first went home... The teachings of Jason Lee from his mentor... the hidden past between myself and Cran Landom were not the reasons I was insecure about this match... it was because they - like me fought for the side of good - instead of the forces of evil that I have grown accustomed to battling.
They have good hearts - perhaps not pure, but good none the less. I will have to alter my fighting technique for this contest... My traditional "Bane of Evil" tactics won't be much use against those who are not evil... Luckily for me - my old comrade Jayde helped me develop an adequate substitution to use against those two, looking at the brackets for the Valor Championship number one contendership - I may have to continue to use this alternate combat strategy for a little longer... If I beat Lee or Landom Thursday, and I am confident that I will - I will have to do battle against either Big Ci or one of the two warriors I consider friends and allies in POW - Appius Macros Vitruvious or Lance Erickson. I know that they are contemplating the same circumstances... But we will handle that situation in due time.
I also have a feeling this unknown group of invaders that have been post these messages at the POW website will make an appearance at First Rights... I have spoken to many of my fellow fighters and they all getting very angry from the comments made from that individual or individuals... My original plan was the eliminate this contingent altogether, now I may have to PROTECT them from serious injury... *Sigh* I really don't WANT to do it... but as the Hero I may not have a choice - I have to protect the weak at all costs...

But back to my match up... I have not heard anything from Jason Lee or Cran Landom all week, I do not know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I know Jason Lee will show up, he's is a late comer... Something he picked up from his mentor no doubt. Landom however is a bit unnerving - usually he would have made an appearance by now. I do not want to label him a coward, he has proven himself the opposite - he must have something up his sleeve - perhaps an Ace from the local casino? That I do not know. I can not worry myself about the actions of those two, I have to focus completely on my tasks for the show... Namely 1... Win my match, 2... Keep an eye on the main event and make sure NO ONE gets involved and 3... Stop the contingent from pissing everyone off and making asses of themselves...
I have got a couple of e-mails over the past couple of days. One was from Greg Kilgreen. They want me to film a pre-taped interview for the show when I get to the arena... basic stuff. The other however is more intriging... it is from Riley - the manager of Macros... I don't know what he wants, I'll have to talk to him after the show. I'm going to try and sleep now, although I doubt it will come easy - I have an tough couple of days ahead of me.
