:: Big Ci is walking back down a corridor after visiting Dave Hunter. We see Greg Kilgreen coming up behind him with a microphone in hand. He yells after him.
Greg Kilgreen: Ci… Ci. Wait up.
:: Ci stops and turns around as Greg catches up.
Greg: Hey Ci. Could I get a quick word?
Big Ci: About what?
Greg: Well a number of things really. First off, your thoughts on your submission loss to Macros at First Rights.
Big Ci: My thoughts? What do you mean my thoughts? I tapped out. That’s all there is to it. But I got up, dusted myself down and now I’m ready for the next match.
Greg: Well… Ci, that’s a bit of a turn around from the old Big Ci from UWL who was almost obsessive when he fell into a rut. What has changed?
Big Ci: Well nothing really. This isn’t a rut I’m in. I lost one match to an athlete of a calibre greater than many worlds’ champions. I tried my best. I put on one hell of a performance but I got beat. On that night my best wasn’t good enough. But now I know that. So next time… my best will be better.
Greg: So you’re saying that there will be a next time.
Big Ci: There’s always a next time. Macros and I will meet again. What… you think I’m gonna let Riley tell everyone his guy beat me without getting a rematch. Oh that reminds me… Riley, you are clever SOB. You saw me pick up that armour and you saw the opening to get your guy angry. Well let me set the record straight. I burst into that locker room and I saw that armour lying on that chair. I walked over to it and I picked it up and I held it in front of me. I looked at that armour well after that camera went off. I held it up and I looked at the craftsmanship. I saw that that piece armour was a piece of art. I looked at the hand crafted lines and I was awestruck. I could only imagine what that piece of armour meant to you. So I put it back on that chair and I walked out of the room, out of the arena and I went to the gym. When I left that room that breast plate was intact.
However, just before our match. It became apparent that the armour wasn’t intact any more… Funny that. But then again it’s not that strange is it? When you think what kind of person would do that to such a beautiful piece of finery, to something that means so much to Macros, to know how much it means to Macros… you don’t have to look too hard… do you Riley? We all saw you laughing at the Supershow. We all know that it was you. But you have been able to pull the wool over Macros’ eyes and all credit to you. You have yourself I ride to greatness… take it as far as you can. But Macros, eventually you may find that that weight holding you back from going full speed gets a little tiresome. When… that’s up to you.
Greg: OK Ci… After the match at First Rights we saw you and Lance Erickson shake hands and leave the ring together. In recent days we have found out that you and Lance Erickson have come to an agreement regarding him joining your new stable. How has this business relationship prospered so quickly?
Big Ci: Well… Lance and I came into POW at around the same time. We both recognise what it takes to get ahead here. We both have a tremendous amount of respect for each other. When I decided to form a unit in POW… I wanted to surround myself with people who had a drive to win. I have that in Dave and I have that in Lance. It’s simple. Do you think that Lance went home after Macros won and whined and complained and thought “I didn’t win. What’s the point of wrestling anymore?”.. No he went home, slept, woke up in the morning and got himself ready for his next test. Just like I did… just like Dave did.
Greg Kilgreen: You mention Dave. I couldn’t help but overhear you and Dave talking earlier and it didn’t sound like you were the best of friends that you have claimed in recent weeks.
Big Ci: OK. First off… don’t listen in on other people’s conversations. It’s not good. Secondly, Dave is a little worried and I can understand why. Dave has never worried about the people or about what they thought. He’s worried that teaming with me will make him change and he doesn’t want that. But I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… what he does and the way he feels is his business. All I know is, I count him as a great friend and a great ally. I see Lance Erickson as a friend and an ally.
Greg: Ci, again you mention Lance. Yourself, Lance and Dave are on the way to becoming a major faction in POW. However, you have always said that you wanted four men in the stable. I also happened to hear you talking about the final addition to the stable. Do you think you can shed any light on who the fourth man is gonna be?
Big Ci: Well… well… yes I can. It’s… it’s… you.
Greg: Me… really.
Big Ci: No. Of course it isn’t you… fool. The fourth man in the faction will be announced once everything is sorted out. What I can say is that the guy we have in mind… is extremely excited about the prospect of coming to POW.
Greg: So he is not a member of the POW roster already.
Big Ci: Very good Greg. No he is not already on the roster.
Greg: So the final man is a colleague of you, Dave or Lance from another promotion?
Big Ci: Who said he’s the final man.
Greg: Well you have said that you are after three elite guys.
Big Ci: Three other wrestlers yes.
Greg: So you are looking for managerial services as well?
Big Ci: You are quick tonight aren’t you? Yes I am looking for a manager. Things aren’t sorted yet but I know who I would like.
Greg: OK Ci. This Thursday night at “Road to All In” you and Dave will team up for the first time to take on, the man who could have been the World Champion at “First Rights”, Rich Morrison and the man who beat Dave Hunter at the Supershow, Jason Dread. Your thoughts.
Big Ci: Well, Dave has unfinished business with Dread. He is eager to get a hold of him again after his loss at the Supershow. Remember Dave never gave up in that match. So in his mind he never lost. Dave plans on beating Dread, one hell of a lot more decisively than Dread beat him. With Rich Morrison, I believe I am still 0 and 1 against him, so evening the score wouldn’t do my self-esteem any bad. The one thing I know… is that POW has no tag team champions. I see all of these teams being formed. But the one team I am concerned about is my team. I get that I am trying to get this group off the ground and the best way I can see to do that is to get gold around my waist. I missed out on the Valor Title… this time… But now I have my sights set on tag team gold. In order to get my hands on it though, I need to make an impression. Me and Dave need to make an impression. And the best way to do that, is to take out two of the best. Morrison and Dread are two of the best… so we’re gonna take them out. And then it’s on to the tournament and we’ll be crowned World Tag Team Champions.
Greg: Ci, we know that you are in action this week. But also in action is Lance Erickson. He will be going one on one with Chester Coban. Coban is known to be lethal when he gets a hold of a steel chair. What do you make of Lance’s chances?
Big Ci: Lance has more than what it takes to beat Chester Coban. But if Chester takes a hold of that steel chair and goes after Lance with it. I won’t be too far away to give him something to swing at.
Greg: Does that go for Dave also?
Big Ci: Like I said… we have differences of opinions… but we are a unit. We have each others back. And so when one’s in trouble we all get out of it.
Greg: Thank you for your time Ci. Good luck on Thursday.
Big Ci: Anytime Greg. Big Ci over and out.
Greg: Greg Kilgreen, over…
Big Ci: (Interrupting) don’t you dare. I will slap you upside the head, so help me God.
