The episode begins with Reid Flanagan - Your Friendly Neighbourhood Midwestern Champion! Sitting down in the catacombs of the Ninja Lair (Yes, The Lair now has catacombs... Shut up!) He is dressed in usual casual gear consisting of Denim Shorts, a Black "OBEY GIANT" T-shirt, sneakers, a pair of Big Goofy Glasses and a new addition (or old depending on your RM history) a beige fisherman style hat. He sits deep in thought holding a Four Horsemen T-shirt. Reiko Kasumi - Manager of Ninjas enters the scene and walks up to our hero and taps in on the shoulder and Reid jumps a bit.
Reid Flanagan - What the He... oh Reiko, you nearly gave me a heart attack... What's up?
Reiko gives him an odd look.
Reiko - Wait a minute. I nearly gave you a heart attack? Usually you can tell when someone is coming from a mile away... Are you okay?
Reid just shrugs his shoulders and a sly smile slinks across Reiko's face and she sits down beside him.
Reiko - You were thinking about her again weren't you?
Reid looks at her for a second then nods.
Reid Flanagan - A little...
Reiko - Reid... Why don't you just ask her out already?
Reid takes a ragged breath (man these things are becoming a common occurrence!)
Reid Flanagan - I want to Rei, I REALLY want to... but I can't help but blame myself for the major rift that can between us the last time we were together... It took a long time for us to work our way through the whole ordeal... I don't know if I could take it if I drove her away again...
Reiko frowns a little and places her hand on Reid's shoulder.
Reiko - Listen, I can see where you are coming from but from I've heard from both you and Jayde, you where a completely different person back then. You have obviously changed a lot since that time and everyone knows you still having feelings for her.
Reid lowers his head a little bit, It always bothered him that people knew so much about him... He always roamed in the shadows, never letting anyone into his life before now.
Reid Flanagan - I know your right Reiko but I don't trust myself that I won't hurt her... It's funny isn't it?
Reiko tilts her head a little bit.
Reiko - What are you talking about?
Reid Flanagan - I fight the most vicious of evils every single week, I look death square in the eye and I disregard the safety of my own body on a constant basis without a care in the World... but even the thought of harming those I care about nearly destroys me.
Reiko - It not funny Reid... it means you have a soul... A sense of morales... a conviction that most others don't but, if you don't go after her Reid... if you let her get away, you'll lose your soul forever - I've seen it in both of your eyes... you were made for each other, you're soul-mates Reid, you have to stop running.
Reid Flanagan - That's deep Reiko... Okay, you win. Next time I see her I'll get it all off my chest... Thanks.
Reiko just smiles lightly and Reid grins a little as well.
Reid Flanagan - So why'd you trudge all the way down here to find me for, it had to be something other then giving me sage advice.
Reiko pulls a slip of paper out of her purse and hands it to Reid. Reid puts down the t-shirt and looks at the sheet.
Reiko - Here's this weeks booking sheet... They were behind this week so I just got it now.
Reid reads it for a second then looks at Reiko with a confused expression upon his face.
Reid Flanagan - Wait... wait, Why am I fighting with Kailus and Kyle? Me and Stevens already kicked Kez's ass at the Best of The Best match and I buried the hatchet with Fate years ago... besides weren't they going after Josh Eagles last week?
Reiko - Yeah... they went after both Josh and John Anthony.
Reid Flanagan - So how did I get involved in this situation? I mean from a technical standpoint wouldn't I be backing Holmes and Neverwinter in this one? I mean they are beating the hell out of my opponent at Reckless Abandon as well as Josh Eagles... if anyone ever deserved a beat-down it's him... This is irrational, it's insane.
Reiko - It's totally you!
Reid Flanagan - What?
Reiko - You fight evil don't you?
Reid nods his head.
Reiko - Well right now Kailus and Kyle are the faces of Evil... Like them or not John and Josh are on your side this time.
Reid Flanagan - Nuh-huh, No way Josh Eagles is NOT on my side Reiko - Never has, never will... He uses people Reiko - He leached off me for a long time... He's trying to use me again to fight his battles again... I won't do it.
Reiko - You see Reid, You have already begun to lose your soul... When did you ever question whether or not you helped someone - As long as I've known you, you have always came in to save the day, no questions asked. You have to follow your heart Reid... I'm serious - you've already begun to give in to your misery... FIGHT, damn it! for your life... fight.
Reid looks at her and slowly nods and stands up... Reiko quickly scrambles to her feet as well. Reid begins to walk away but he stops and looks back at Reiko and grins his ridiculous grin.
Reid Flanagan - I have to thank you again... because of you... I can once again say loud and proud... HERE I COME... TO SAVE THE DAY!
With that Reid takes off down the hall with a renewed sense of whatever the hell it is that makes Reid Flanagan - THE ATOMIC NINJA! Reiko just watches him leave. She then notices that he left that Four Horsemen shirt of the floor... She picks it up and looks at the pattern on the front. No really obvious expression comes across her face as she begins to walk...
