The scene opens to a room all in black. It is silent in the room, and somber looking. Slowly, Buddy Johansson walks into the room. He's attire is proper with his clean cut tuxedo. Buddy isn't his usual self, he is more serious this time. He stands at attention as a white projection screen lowers from above. The screen comes to a stop next to him and the Louisiana State Flag appears on the screen.
"August 29th, 2005, my state and her neighbors saw mother nature's fury in full force. Hurricane Katrina moved towards us slowly and we prepared for her. Little did we know, Katrina wasn't an ordinary hurricane....."
"During the next week, much of my state and the surrounding states were under water......."
"When the water finally subsided, the true sight of Katrina's fury was upon us."
"Each and every one of us was effected by Katrina. Many of us, including myself, lost their homes, their belongings, their way of life, and many of us lost their lives......"
"That was two years ago, and we are still rebuilding. On the eve of another hurricane season, we all must watch each others' backs."
"This Sunday, I am going for the Mid-Atlantic Championship against for of our finest gladiators of the ring. But in the days leading to my biggest match of my life, all I can think about are my fellow Louisianians, still picking back up their lives. I came into this business to give my family, my friends, and my fellow statesmen hope. Even when things are looking their bleakest, their is still hope. All the proceeds from every strand of my Buddy Beads sold this week will go to families hit by Katrina. Also, I will be matching the total ticket sales on Sunday, and donate the money to the area as well. We haven't forgotten you, and if I win the title this Sunday at "Red, White, and Bruised, I promise, it will be for you all. Thank you."
Buddy walks away, leaving the image on the screen. The camera zooms in to fill the screen with the photo, and fades to black.
