Backstage at the community center, Stephie Campbell is standing with David Hilt, about to record an interview.
Steph: Well, here's the man who last week, almost made himself a champion. I'm sure that we're all wondering how he feels about the circumstances. First of all, do you think that you actually won that match?
Dave: I think we all know I did, but I'm not going to dwell on it. Next question.
Steph: ...Okay, well, your pin was overturned by a foreign object being found in your pants. Did you have any intention to use it? Do you think it should have had any effect on your match? Some say Eddie outsmarted you by doing what he did.
Dave: I wouldn't say he outsmarted me as much as seeing an opportunity and taking it. A rather cheap one, but an opportunity nonetheless. I might have done the same in that position, so again, I'm not going to dwell on it.
Steph: Alrighty, well do you have any words for Eddie Buchalini? Any thoughts about him you'd like to share?
Dave: Nope. Next question.
Steph: (obviously frustrated) Well, do you at least admit you got screwed out of your title?
Dave: I've addressed that before. How many times do I have to say it? I'm not going to dwell on these things. Maybe you should try changing the subject if you want an even halfway decent interview.
Steph: (in an annoyed, obviously angry voice) THIS is what the POW fans want to know about. Why do you insist on ignoring it?
Dave: I'm going to move on to better things. Like this interview should do, or I could just leave.
Steph: Fine! (she breathes to calm herself down, and approaches the interview empathetically) Okay. So, you said you are moving on to better things...What exactly do you mean?
Dave: It means I'm just going to continue with my career, and consider this nothing more than a speed bump.
Steph: Better things then. Would that mean you're shooting for the heavyweight championship?
Dave: I'm shooting for whatever I think I can get. I am not focusing on any one thing.
Steph: So you think you could get another shot at Eddie Buchalini then?
Dave: Not necessarily. My chance was botched, and even though through no fault of my own, that's the way it is. There's no obligation for a rematch. I'll just see what happens.
Steph: (sighing) Is there anything you will answer directly? You haven't revealed anything about where you plan to go from now in POW.
Dave: I'll go where I'm taken. I won't say destiny, I don't believe in that.
Steph: Okay, you know what? I think that's just fine. We should wrap up now.
Dave: If that's how you feel, then so be it.
Stephie stomps off in a huff, with the cameraman following after her, eventually cutting off.
