"War Pigs" by Black Sabbath begins to explode through the public announce system as bright lights of red and white begin to flash all over the arena. The crowd cheers for the second live event of Power On Wrestling!
Alex Pilgrim: AND WE ARE BACK! That's right, we're right back in Kansas City at the Star Pavilion in the Ameristar Casino and this place is rocking!
Tony Almanti: You're so right, Alex. After last week's debut, wrestling sights all over the place have been talking about Power On Wrestling and how it could be the future of pro wrestling!
Pilgrim: And let's go back to last week and see exactly what all the buzz is about. Last week there were two preliminary matches to see which two men would be facing at First Rights for the POW Heavyweight Title and it just so happened that Shawn Stevens and Rich Morrison advanced. However, there was more to the story than that. Here's what happened early in the evening last week.
CLIP FROM LAST WEEK'S EPISODE Rich: But Roberts, I'm sure I'll get my shot at you. And Chester...I get to teach a lesson on you tonight. But the guy that I can't wait to get my hands on, and Tito, I hope you make this happen, is Shawn Stevens. I'm tired of his noise. I'm tired of his gloating about what he's done in some regional promotion in Kentucky of all places. I want him so I can expose him for the piece of crap of wrestler he is.
Rich can't get another word out as "Devotion and Desire" by Bayside begins to play. He called out Shawn Stevens and now he got him. The crowd cheers in hopes that someone will shut Rich Morrison up.
SSS: Rich....I don't need permission from Tito.
Stevens drops the microphone and lays a hard right hand right into the left cheek of Rich Morrison. Morrison falls backward to the ground, but quickly gets back to his feet and the two start wildly swinging at each other, landing some blows. Chester acts as if he wants to jump in, but Roberts holds him back advising him to let those two beat up on each other before their fight tonight. Capaci motions for security to break up the fight and they finally do get between the two men.
Tito: Rich and Shawn, huh? You want at each other so bad, well far be it from me to keep you from getting what you want. Next week, we'll see Shawn Stevens and Rich Morrison squaring off against other!
The crowd reacts with a huge pop as Morrison and Stevens continue to separated.
Tito: But don't get the wrong idea, boys. I could see how this would be a preview for the first POW Heavyweight Title fight and I'm not about to give these people a DVD Taping match for free.
The crowd boos.
Tito: So we're going to make this a tag match. Stevens, you pick a partner. Rich, you pick a partner. I need a partner by the end of tonight. No partner, no match. Capiche? Good luck, ladies.
Pilgrim: And both men found their partners and this is how it happened.
CLIP FROM LAST WEEK'S EPISODE Tito: Men, I made it very clear that you had to have a tag team partner by the end of the night for your match next week to take place. I haven't heard from either of you. Rich. This is your last chance. Do you have a partner?
Rich: Tito, I need more time. By tomorrow I could have a hundred men willing to step into the ring with me.
Tito: I said tonight and I meant it. So if you don't have a partner then I guess we throu....
The crowd gives a huge pop as a figure jumps over the guardrail. It's Brock Hoyle! He hops into the ring with Rich and borrows the microphone.
Brock: Rich, I owe you a lot. You helped my career with a huge jumpstart. If you need a partner for next week......I'll take that match with you.
Brock extends his hand and Rich grabs it and shakes with a smile. He smirks back at Stevens who has yet to name a partner.
Tito: Shawn? What about you. Who is your partner?
Suddenly the crowd gives a loud roar of disbelieve as Chester Coban slides into the ring and nails Rich Morrison in the back of the head with a steel chair! Brock looks stunned as he looks up, he catches a face full of steel as well! Shawn looks at Tito but points to Chester! He's found his partner!
Pilgrim: WOW! What a turn of events! Rich Morrison and Brock Hoyle versus Shawn Stevens and Chester Coban!
Almanti: They're unlikely bedfellows, but from the looks of things, there's enough bad blood to make it a bitter rivalry!
Almanti: No doubt about it, there is bad blood all over the place and I for one can't wait to see that match tonight.
Pilgrim: But that's not all! Rumor has it that tonight, a major UWL star would be making his intentions in the POW ring known tonight and that he will be available for action as early as next week!
Almanti: Nobody knows who this could be, but everybody is just literally on the edge of their seats to find out!
Pilgrim: But let's get down to business! We have our first match ready and the competitors are ready to enter the ring!
"the chapter begins" by GOW begins to play over the PA system. The crowd gives a short burst of cheers as Cram jumps over the crowd protection steel barricade. He rolls around the ring, dodging bullets that no one else sees. This is a pre-match agility show that Landom uses to warm up.
Pilgrim: And here comes Cram Landom. He had a heartbreaking loss to Jason Lee last week and is looking for redemption.
Almanti: Wins aren't easy to come buy in POW, especially with the quality brought in by POW management.
The opening guitar riffs of "Blitzkrieg" by Metallica start up as multicolored lights start flashing "Triple-H" style around the entrance and ring area. Victor Bloodmoon steps out from behind the curtain, stops, and raises his arms in his trademark pose. He slowly walks to the ring, shouting insults at the various audience members in German. He steps up on the apron, then steps over the ropes and into the ring. He raises his arms at the four sides of the ring before standing in the corner with his arms crossed until the match begins.
Pilgrim: And here comes a man who is flying high. He absolutely dominated one half of the KC Dudes last week and can assure himself a win next week would be for a shot at the Valor Title, but first....he has to win this one, Tony.
Almanti: Absolutely. Bloodmoon is a brute a man and has a mean streak to go along. But Lamdon did look impressive at times last week and it's hard to tell where these new guys are in terms of polish. We know that Victor is pretty damn good, Alex.
Nathan McElvoy is the referee for the match and he calls for the opening bell!
ding-ding
Cram Lamdon vs. Victor Bloodmoon
Lamdon comes flying in at the bell opening with powerful right hands to the face of Bloodmoon. He drives Bloodmoon back with the series of punches all the way to the turnbuckle. He grabs a hold of the "German Juggernaut" and whips him into the opposite corner and follows it up with a big leaping splash. Victor is groggy and falls to one knee. Lamdon hops up on the second turnbuckle and waits for Bloodmoon to get to his feet and as he does leaps and nails a flying bulldog from the second turnbuckle! He hooks the leg and goes for an early pin! McElvoy slides in for the count!
1...
2.....
KICKOUT!!!!!
Pilgrim: A near fall for Lamdon here early! He has really come out firing on all cylinders!
Almanti: If he wants the Valor tournament, he knows he has to win this match to even have a shot!
Lamdon closes in on Victor but he as he tries to stand him up, Victor nails a low blow!
Pilgrim: And I thought the Valor Tournament was suppose to be 100% by the book!
Almanti: Give it a rest! The referee gave him a warning.
Bloodmoon grabs the head of Lamdon and rifles a huge European Uppercut to his opponent who is doubled over concerned about this groin area. Victor acts as if he is going to whip Lamdon into the ropes, but stops short and hits him with a short armed clothesline that sends Lamdon to the mat for the first time in the fight. Victor pulls Lamdon to his feet and follows up with a snap suplex and goes for a quick cover as McElvoy slides in for the count!
1....
KICKOUT!
Pilgrim: Those kind of pins may work somewhere in Germany, but in POW, you better hook a leg!
Almanti: He didn't want the pinfall right there, Alex. He wants to apply some pain first!
Bloodmoon pulls Lamdon up and whips him hard into the corner where Lamdon falls to the floor, his back propped up against the corner turnbuckle. Bloodmoon calmly walks over there and places his boot on the throat of Lamdon and pushes in until the referee gets close to the DQ count. He releases for a second and then reapplies the same illegal choke before releasing again. He gives a swift side kick in the rib before heading to the opposite turnbuckle. Bloodmoon takes off full speed and tries to baseball slide into his Lamdon, but Lamdon rolls out of the ring just in time! Bloodmoon's leg split the turnbuckle and Victor's nuts get up and close and personal with the ringpost!
Pilgrim: And Lamdon was able to muster enough strength to get out of the way! The tide may have turned!
Almanti: Cram Lamdon is an Army guy, right? There's no quit in military men!
Lamdon slides back into the ring and catches Bloodmoon in a Tiger suplex as he is trying to get to his feet. Lamdon points to the top turnbuckle and the crowd cheers! Lamdon climbs the ropes and sees that Bloodmoon is getting back up. He leaps and tries a double ax handle from the top rope, but Bloodmoon sees it coming and delivers a sharp looping punch to the midsection of Lamdon as he comes down. Lamdon turns around, holding his gut and Bloodmoon takes advantage with his Bloodmoon Rising!
Pilgrim: Bloodmoon Rising! Bloodmoon Rising! That has to be it!
Victor covers and looks at the crowd with a sadistic grin on his face as McElvoy counts!
1.....
2........
3!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pilgrim: And Victor Bloodmoon has done it! He has put himself at 2 wins and zero losses in Block A of the Valor Tournament. If he can win next week, he will be fighting for the Valor Tournament at First Rights!
Almanti: This has been an amazing display for Bloodmoon the last two weeks. If he beats Jason Lee next week, I would dare say he may be the hottest wrestler going into First Rights!
Pilgrim: Speaking Jason Lee, he's in our next match. He takes on the Kansas City Bad Boy, a guy that Victor made short work of last week. Is there any way to gage where a wrestler by common opponents? I say no. It usually doesn't that work that.
Almanti: It doesn't work that way at all. You look at stylistic differences, size differences, maybe one guy had an off day or one guy wrestled the match of his life. Until you see two wrestlers go head to head, you just can't say one way or the other.
Pilgrim: Well let's see if Jason Lee can make next week's match against Bloodmoon two undefeated opponents in the Valor Tournament!

Country Heroes begins to play as the Kansas City Bad Boy walks out from back stage. He cusses at the crowd before heading into the ring.
Pilgrim: And here comes the Kansas City Bad Boy to the ring. He had a less than impressive debut last week and nobody is giving him a chance in this one!
Almanti: You can it nerves, you can call it a lot of different things, but the Bad Boy definitely didn't give his best performance. He better step it up if he expects to beat the first pupil of Shawn Stevens, Mr. Jason Lee!
The lights fade between red and white and as "Flashlight" by Punchline hits Jason stepts out onto the stage and cracks his fingers. He highfives the fans on the walk to the ring. When he gets there he slides in and flips to his feet similar to Super Crazy.
Pilgrim: And there is. He's already got some sense of a fan following and after a solid win over fellow newcomer, Lamdon, it's not hard to see why.
Almanti: He has a lot of ability, it's just a little raw. He's really fallen into a good spot to learn before reaching the top tier of this business.
The Tanner Dutton calls for the bell!
ding-ding
The Kansas City Bad Boy vs. Jason Lee
KC Bad Boy jumps the gun with a knee to the gut, followed by multiple punchesto the back and head. He gets Lee on the mat and climbs to the middle turnbuckle for a knee drop. Lee gets to his feet and races to the corner. He lands a right hand to KC's gut and sends him down with a scoop slam. Bad Boy jumops to his feet, but gets floored again with a clothesline. Lee picks KC up again and landa a snap suplex. KC pops back up, but slows down a bit to nurse his back. Lee comes running, hitting a Running Calf Kick, sending KC down again. He rolls out of the ring to safety. The referee keeps Lee from following.
Alex Pilgrim: Kansas City Bad Boy is taking the coward's way out. Tony Almanti: Coward? That's taking advantage of the rule book. You of all people should appreciate that!
KC slides in behind Lee and smashes into him with a knee to the back. Lee falls to one knee and gets whipped to the corner. KC follows and chokes him with his boot. The referee makes his count and KC releases the hold. Lee falls to his knees, clutching his throat. KC comes running and stuffs a boot into Lee's face. Jason Lee falls foward and crawls to his feet. KC beats on Lee with a series of rights and lefts and kicking him once he is on all fours. He goes for the quick cover.
1!
2!
Lee kicks out with ease. KC lands a two foot stomp on the chest, before trying another unsuccessful cover. He brings Lee to his feet and swings hard. Lee ducks and grabs him from behind - German Suplex! KC springs up again, only to get floored again with a cradle piledriver. KC stays down this time, but gets brought up to his feet for The Altered Lesson! KC isn't moving an inch as Lee climbs to the top. Incoming Assault! He makes the cover.
1!
2!
3!
Alex Pilgrim: Kansas City Bad Boy suffers another loss this week. Tony Almanti: It's okay, some of the best start out slow. You just wait until he gets going, Pilgrim - you just wait...

As the show returns from commercial break both Reck Maverick and Dan Real are already in the ring. Dan Real is looking on in frustration as Maverick does a demonstration with his sword, he has affectionately called the Blade of Legend.
Pilgrim: Welcome back to Power On Wrestling and The Road to First Rights. Tony, we've been watching about three or four minutes of this....sword dancing stuff with "The Atomic Ninja." What gives?
Almanti: He's a freaking ninja, man! It takes years of dedicated practice and besides, the fans here are eating this up!
Dan Real starts yelling at Benny Lawson, the referee for this match, to get Maverick to stop his sword swinging and to focus on the match. Lawson starts to walk over to Reck, but Maverick has already put the weapon inside the sheath and has bowed to the crowd which is applauding his efforts. As Maverick hands the sword to a pretty brunette ring attendant outside the ring, Dan Real runs and levels him from behind with a double ax handle to the top of the shoulder. The impact sends Reck to one knee as he clutches his right shoulder with one hand. Dan quickly delivers a knee to the small of the back that sends Maverick all the way to his stomach in the corner. Lawson quickly runs over to the counter and calls for the opening bell!
ding-ding
Reck Maverick vs. Dan Real
Pilgrim: Why am I not surprised Dan Real decided to get a head start on this match?
Almanti: I'm not surprised by anything that happens in this business anymore.
Real slides out of the ring and takes grabs Reck's head which is hanging over the apron and slams it against the ring post. Reck flops around on the mat, clutching his head in pain. Real quickly climbs up the stands and almost leaps to the top turnbuckle where he leaps and nails a top rope moonsault senton. He quickly hooks the legs and Lawson slides into position for the count!
1......
2......
KICKOUT!!!!!!
Lawson quickly pops up to his knees and gripes at the POW Head referee for what he believes to be a slow count.
Pilgrim: And a close call for Reck Maverick early. I thought that top rope maneuver was going to do it!
Almanti: Five minutes later in the match, it no doubt would have. Reck still has a little steam since we've just started.
Pilgrim: I am amazed at the early pace of Real in his debut match. He is really pushing the action.
Dan Real grabs Maverick by the mask to lift him to his feet. Reck tries to punch his way out of Real's grasp with some blows to the stomach, but there isn't much behind the right hands. Real gives a knee to the gut and puts him into a vertical suplex and brings him down hard with a snap DDT. The crowd gasps at the collision of Maverick's head hitting the mat. Real hops up takes a look at the turnbuckle and then another look at Maverick who is knocked out on the floor. He cockily walks over to the corner and climbs the rope. He pauses as he smirks at the crowd.
Pilgrim: It would seem as if Dan Real is going to go for the big finish right here!
Almanti: This would be a huge debut victory for Dan Real!
Real points at Maverick and swings his arms outward to motion that Reck Maverick is done. He leaps and is going for a diving head butt......Reck Maverick just rolls out of the way and Real lands face first on the mat! Both men are on their back, motionless!
Pilgrim: I can't believe it! I didn't think Reck Maverick had enough strength after that huge vertical DDT to get out of the way! I didn't think he would even see it coming!
Almanti: Dan Real just took too much time! Reck is an old pro and knows how to save some gas in the tank!
Lawson surveys the damage in the ring and sees that neither man looks as is he will get up. Lawson points at both men and initiates the standing 10 count!
1.........
2............
Neither man is stirring yet.
3.........
4..........
Still nobody moving, but the crowd is getting a bit restless. They want a winner!
5...........
6...........
The crowd starts chanting "RECK! RECK! RECK! RECK! RECK!" but no movement from either wrestler.
7............
8..............
Without warning, Reck Maverick kips-up from his back and the crowd goes crazy. Lawson points to Reck to show the count has been broken. Reck strikes a few ninja poses as Dan Real starts to groggily make it to his feet. Reck Maverick's feet are shuffling hard, waiting for Dan Real to turn around and as he does Reck runs and nails a huge jumping face buster than sends Real planted and leaning in the corner. He quickly makes his way to the other corner lifts one arm to the crowd which cheers as he sprints and leaps for a big body splash in the corner, but this time it is Dan Real who has moved out of the way!
Pilgrim: Wow! Both men want this match so much! Back and forth we go!
Almanti: Somebody will be undefeated and someone will be winless! The debut match can set the tone for a wrestler!
Real checks his lip which his bleeding from the jumping face buster. He moves in on Reck who is trying to balance himself with the rope and nails a neckbreaker on the POW's Atomic Ninja. Real wastes no time and quickly climbs the top rope. Reck has gotten up and faces Real as he leaps from the top rope, but Dan Real hits a top rope cross body block and the momentum sends Maverick to his back which Real quickly turns into a pin as he hooks the leg waaaaaay back! Lawson slides in!
Pilgrim: What a move! What a move! This could be it!!!!!
1......
2........
Thr-NOOOO!!! Kickout!!!!
Pilgrim: HOW DID HE KICK OUT OF THAT?!?!?!?!
Almanti: I don't know, but I think Dan Real thinks that count was, uh...REAL slow!
Dan Real hops up immediately and gets in the face of Benny Lawson who isn't giving up a lot of ground and putting his finger in the face of Dan Real. Real pushes Lawson back a few steps and the Head Referee warns Real that if he gets touched again, he would call for the bell and disqualify him. Real throws a few more cuss words at Lawson before getting back to Reck who his on his knees, but struggling to stand. Real pulls Reck up delivers some hard MMA style elbows to the chest and chin of Maverick and then sends him to the ropes via Irish whip. Reck bounces off the ropes and on the first pass, Real tries a big swinging clothesline but Reck ducks under it. On the second pass, Real bends over for a back body drop, but Reck stops just short and delivers a swift kick to the face, sending Real back to a standing, but hunched position. Reck quickly moves and nails his Ninjetti-Plex!!!! Lawson hops to the mat for the pin count!
Almanti: NINJETTI PLEX!!! NINJETTI PLEX!!!!
1........
2........
3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pilgrim: What a huge win for Reck Maverick in his Power On Wrestling debut! He was all kinds of impressive tonight!
Almanti: No doubt about it, Alex. Reck Maverick proved to be the veteran we knew he would be. He's been in this business for a while and he really turns on the heat with things get a little dicey in the ring.
Pilgrim: And even though Dan Real is coming out of his professional debut with a loss, he had to impress the right people with this his performance tonight, wouldn't you say, Tony?
Almanti: No doubt about it. He was in control of this match almost the entire time. It just so happened that Reck found a way to hit that Ninjetti Plex at the right time. From the looks of things, both of these men will be having a hell of a career and some opportunities down the road in POW.
Pilgrim: We're about to get back to our Valor Tournament matches, but Tony. The stage is set for the finals of Block B in the tournament. It's going to be Victor Bloodmoon, the German Juggernaut against Jason Lee, the straight-laced kid from Michigan who just happens to be trained by Shawn Stevens. It certainly makes for an interesting matchup.
Almanti: I am so ready to see that match next week. It pits two different styles against each other. Bloodmoon is a brute of a man weighting over 300 pounds and standing just short of seven feet tall. Stevens is a lot more fleet of foot, but barely tips the scales at over 200 pounds. It's the classic size versus speed debate and some of that argument will have a chance to be settled next week.
Pilgrim: It is shaping up to be quite an interesting evening. Let's get ready for our next matchup, which happens to be a Valor Championship tournament match!

Alex Pilgrim: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Block "A" of the Valor Championship Tournament, the quarter-finals if you will. Where two young stars will square off for the right to possibly win the Valor Championship. These young men...
Tony Almanti: (interrupting) That's right Alex. Let's get this show under way!
"They're Coming to Take me Away" by Napolean XIV begins to play over the PA system. Buzz pulls two Roman Candles from his fanny pack and lights them, pretending that they are pyro. Before he walks down the ramp, he reaches back into his fanny pack and pulls out a video Ipod and holds it high overhead with video clips of his highlights. This is his jumbotron. He runs and slides into the ring, placing the Ipod back into his fanny pack. He holds his arms up to the crowd who cheers emphatically.
Richard Huff: Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to introduce the first competitor in this match which is sceduled for one fall and the right to continue in the Valor Championship Tournament...He is 179 lbs. and hails from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma...BUZZ PARKS!!! (The crowd goes nuts)
Tony Almanti: WOW! Look at that guy! He comes complete with his very own fireworks show. Although I wonder about his fanny pack...
Alex Pilgrim: MOVING ALONG...Buzz Parks is our first competitor to the ring tonight. And he looks ready for business tonight Tony.
The opening rifts of "The Wretched" begin to play as the crowd quites. Appearing first is Kristoff Sterling, directly behind him is the monster, himself, Velimir Radinovic. They walk slowly toward the ring. Sterling climbs the steps and Radinovic slides in under the ropes. Once in the ring, Radinovic perches himself on the nearest turnbuckle, his eyes locked on the competition.
Richard Huff: And NOW...our second competitor, accompanied by Kristoff Sterling...weighing 230 lbs. and hailing from MOSCOW! He IS VELIMIR RADINOVIC
Tony Almanti: You know what Alex? Velimir is a decent sized guy, but seeing him in there with Buzz Parks reminds me of Thunderlips vs. Rocky...(blank look from Alex)...you know, from Rocky III?
Alex Pilgrim: This is WRESLTING, Tony, not Night at the Roxbury.
Tony Almanti: Don't say anymore, you're already digging yourself in deep.
Alex Pilgrim: Let's get back to the match which looks like it's about to start.
The bell dings and in a flash Buzz Parks crosses the ring and starts laying down thundering blows to Velimir Radinovic's face. Velimir sucks it up and uses his strength advantage to push Buzz Parks to the mat. Back up, Buzz Parks continues his barrage only to be shoved back down by Velimir.
Tony Almanti: I think Buzz might want to rethink his strategy here. He's severely outclassed in strength.
Back up, Buzz Parks and Velimir Radinovic engage in a collar and elbow tie-up. Velimir, showing his strength advantage, clamps onto Parks and walks him back toward the turnbuckle. Holding onto Velimir for support, Buzz Parks leaps up and dropkicks Velimir in the face, sending both of them flying back. Buzz Parks gets up and bounces off the ropes before landing a basement dropkick to Velimir's side.
Alex Pilgrim: Buzz Parks showing an amazing display out there tonight. I was a bit concerned about Velimir's strength, but this little guy is outclassing him with a fabulous basement dropkick!
Tony Almanti: I think I heard Velimir's ribs crack up here!
Velimir rolls out of the ring to gain composure. Kristoff Sterling rushes up and starts spouting unintelligible advice to Velimir. Buzz Parks, having had enough, gets a running start and dives out of the ring. Velimir pushes Kristoff out of the way before ducking under Buzz Parks, sending him crashing headlong into the barricade. Scoffing, Velimir Radinovic climbs back into the ring while Nathan McElvoy starts his count.
1...
2...
3...
(Buzz Parks rises slowly to his feet, 4...)
5...
Buzz Parks slides back into the ring to be met with a stomp to the head by Velimir. Velimir grabs Buzz Parks' head and pulls him back to his feet. Velimir delivers three european uppercuts sending Buzz Parks reeling back into the ropes. Velimir advances on a stunned Parks with a look of ferocity in his eyes. Ripping Parks' arms to the side, Velimir deliver a knife edge chop to the chest of Parks. Parks attempts to counter the chop, only to be blocked and chopped again. Winding up for a third, Velimir's arm is grabbed by Parks who twists him around into a hammerlock. Before Parks can capitalize, Velimir twists Parks around into a hammerlock of his own. Parks attempts to reverse it by flipping onto the ground, but as soon as he gets up Velimir delivers a crushing forearm to the back of his head, dropping him to the mat.
Alex Pilgrim: Velimir Radinovic there, showing off his awareness, doesn't let Parks finish his maneuver.
Without missing a beat, Velimir jumps up and violently splashes Parks across his back. Picking Parks up by his head, Velimir whips Parks into the ropes and bounces off the opposite set. Running at each other, Velimir flies through the air and lands a cross body block, squashing Parks into the mat once more. Velimir grabs a leg and pulls it up for the cover.
1... 2.. KICKOUT!
Alex Pilgrim: Barely a two-count. But I don't blame him for going for the cover there.
Tony Almanti: Ouch!
Pulling Parks up with him, Velimir lays in a couple of knees to the gut and bounces off the ropes to send Parks into the mat once more. Buzz Parks, with lightning quick reflexes steps to the side and kicks Velimir's knee out, tripping him up. Buzz Parks marches over to Velimir and drives a couple of knees into the back of Velimir's head. Standing up, Buzz Parks stands on the back of Velimir's head while raising his arms to the crowd who goes wild.
Tony Almanti: Look at how much the crowd loves him! Velimir's not a bad guy, but I think they're all for the goofy guy to win.
Velimir throws Buzz's foot off of him and leaps up screaming. Wrapping Parks in a bear hug, Velimir picks him up and drives him into the turnbuckle. He then hops up to the second rope and starts raining blows down onto Parks' face. Nathan McElvoy finally intervenes, forcing Velimir off of Parks who starts to trickle a small amount of blood from his bottom lip.
Alex Pilgrim: Looks like Velimir Radinovic has drawn the match's first blood with that display of ferocity.
Tony Almanti: I don't think it's anything personal, they just both want to win the match...unless Velimir has something against guys who wear fanny packs...
Alex: TONY!!!
Buzz Parks staggers out from the turnbuckle and Velimir bounces off of the ropes to give Parks a bulldog, but Parks ducks, sending Velimir onto his back in the middle of the ring. Parks drops down and applies a rear chin lock.
Alex Pilgrim: Wow! After this match composed entirely of these two duking it out, we finally see our first submission of the night!
Tony Almanti: I think he's tired...lol
Alex Pilgrim: Did you just say..."lol"?
Tony Almanti: Yeah...what? It's popular online...thought I'd try and bring into conversation...(Alex buries his face in his hands)
Velimir manages to stand up while Parks continues to hang onto the chin lock. Velimir reaches back for Parks' head, but Buzz Parks leaps up and latches around Velimer's torso with his legs, taking him down again while the audience cheers. Nathan McElvoy drops down to check on Velimir's condition while he continues to fight against the chin lock. Velimir, throwing a couple of elbows into the side of Buzz Parks, forces him to finally release the hold. Both performers quickly get back up to their feet and stare each other down. Parks charges at Velimir to attack, but Velimir sidesteps and pushes Parks into the ropes. Velimir bounces off of the opposite side and both wrestlers each throw a clothesline and deliver crushing blows, dropping them both to the mat next to each other.
Alex Pilgrim: Double clothesline! Looks like the referee is starting the ten-count.
Tony Almanti: I bet if Buzz Parks had his fanny pack on he wouldn't have landed as hard.
Nathan McElvoy starts the count.
1...
2...
3...
(crowd starts chanting "BUZZ, BUZZ, BUZZ, BUZZ")
4...
5...
6...
Both men manage to get to their feet as McElvoy stops the 10 count. Buzz quickly runs and tries to hit a cross body bloc against Radinovic, but Velimir catches him and drops him to the ground with a monster backbreaker. Velimier wastes no time as he quickly gets to the top rope where he leaps and hits his Czar Flip on the downed Buzz Parks!
Pilgrim: Unbelievable! He just blew me away!
Almanti: And I think he just put Parks away.
The referee slides into place and initiates the count!
1.....
2.....
3!!!!!!!!
Pilgrim: And with that win, Velimir has put himself in great position to win Block B of the Valor tournament! If he defeats George Duke next week, he will be in the Valor Tournament Championship fight at First Rights!
Almanti: Absolutely, but I think next week- George Duke versus Velimir Radinovic could be the damn match of the tournament!
Pilgrim: Wait....wait a minute. We have world that something is going on backstage?

Post by Tito Capaci on Feb 2, 2007 11:53:47 GMT -6
The screen cuts to a scene in the backstage area.
Brock Hoyle is pacing backstage. He is confident - he is ready. He's spent some time away from the ring and he'll prove that he hasn't lost a step since his injury. He walks down the dim hallway, into a larger room. He passes by the snack table and backs up a bit. All sorts of stuff - cake, sandwhiches, soda. To satisfy himself without gourging before a match, Brock grabs a handful of pretzels. Thin, but plenty of salt. Suddenly, he is checked into the table, sending his handful of pretzels flying. He slides to the floor and takes out the food display with him. George Duke appears on screen, spitting at Hoyle.
George Duke: "What? Did you think you were gonna come in here and not deal with me, Hoyle? You remember ol' George don't you? Your old pal? Ha! I'm gonna break you apart all over again!"
Duke lunges at Hoyle, who moves. Duke gets to his feet and catches a left to the jaw that sends him staggering. Duke and Hoyle go toe-to-toe, until Duke tackles him down, battering Brock with lefts and right. Security and referees works together to pull George away before he causes and real damage. Brock gets up and brushes himself off. He looks himself over. No damage, maybe a bruise or two. He grabs one of the pretzels off the table and eats it as he walks away. Thin, but plenty of salt.
Pilgrim: George Duke is out of control! Somebody needs to pull the reigns on him!
Almanti: Are you kidding me? These people love the impromptu action! And the best part! Duke's match is coming up right after the break! Stay tuned!

Pilgrim: Welcome back to Power on Wrestling, the Road to First Rights! We have both of our competitors in the ring and they are standing nose to nose, saying Lord knows what!
Almanti: I'm not exactly sure, but George Duke yelled something at Mad Man as he was entering the ring and the Mad Man met him half way. Neither man has given an inch since this face to face stand-off has started!
Manny Salazar tries to get between them, but realizes it's a lost cause and calls for the bell
ding-ding
The Kansas City Mad Man vs. George Duke
The two men continue to stand nose to nose cussing at each other and begging the other one to strike first. Finally, George Duke has enough of it and gives the Mad Man a swift knee to the groin area. The Mad Man bends over and Duke grabs the back of Ma Man's head and drops him down to the ground with a hard face plant. Duke quickly gets on all fours and lifts his knee and brings it down on the side of the head. He does this again! And again! And again! He finally gets to his feet and spits at some less than approving fans in the front row.
Pilgrim: And no surprise, we see George Duke take control of this match early.
Almanti: He's got it a great pace for him now too. He has his man on the ground so he can take a few moments to just scowl at the world.
As the Mad Man begins to get to his feet, Duke comes up behind him and dives, driving his shoulder into the back of the Mad Man's knee, forcing him to fall one knee. Duke walks up on the guy who is now half his height and starts hammering away with some hard punches to the same side of the head he delivered the viscious knees just moments earlier. The referee finally gets Duke to relinquish the blows with the closed fists so Duke pulls back and hits a hard knife-edge chop to the chest of Mad Man, which sends him backward and lying on his back. In control, Duke stomps on the face before sliding out of the ring.
Pilgrim: What the hell is he doing? Just take care of business already!
Almanti: Welcome to the world of George Duke! This is why people to see this old fart wrestle!
Duke pushes a POW electric tech out of his chair and grabs the piece of steel. He throws it in the ring before sliding back in.
Pilgrim: You have got to be kidding me! A chair? In the valor tournament?
Almanti: Damn the rules! Go George go!
Duke slides back into the ring and picks up the chair, but Salazar grabs a hold of the chair as Duke tries to pull it back and yanks it out of his hands. Salazar does some finger-pointing at Duke and giving him some final warnings as he turns his back on the action to slide the chair out of the ring. The Mad Man has finally gotten to his feet, but with Salazar's back turned getting the chair out of the ring, Duke reaches into his tights and pulls out a set of brass knucks and drills the Mad Man square in the temple! The Mad Man falls like a rock as Duke quickly stuffs the evidence back in his trunks. Duke covers his opponent as the referee slides into position!
1......
Pilgrim: This is ridiculous! Someone please get control of that monster!
2......
Almanti: Are you kidding me? He's exactly what POW needs to spice this place up!
3!!!!!!!!!!
Duke gets to his feet and pulls away from Salazar so he can lift his own hand in victory. He starts heading down the steel stairs out of the ring.
Pilgrim: I understand ratings as well as the next guy, but this is the Valor Title Tournament. Things are suppose to be by the damn book!
Almanti: They were....cheating 101, it's all right there!
As Duke gets about halfway up the ramp, a visitor awaits him at the top! It's his opponent next week, Velimir Radinovic! Duke flips him off and yells some cuss words his way, but Velimir doesn't move. Sterling is standing beside him with his cane. Duke starts to walk up the ramp and is warning the Russian Bear to get out of his way, but he won't budge.
Pilgrim: And it looks like we could see some fireworks early! We may get a sneak preview of next week's fight that will determine one half of the Valor Title Championship Match!
Almanti: Oh, they're going to blows! These two men have too much pride to step down!
Sterling tries to get inbetween the two men and places his one free hand on the chest of Velimir and the uses the cane to shield Duke. Duke looks down at the cane pushing against his chest and then looks at Sterling. Duke looks at Velimir then back at the cane pushing against his chest. Without warning he grabs the cane and nails Sterling in the back with it, sending Sterling to the mat! Velimir goes to his aid throwing some huge club fists that startle Duke, but Duke recovers and the two men stand toe to toe at the top of the ramp, trading heavy punches!
Pilgrim: OH MY GOD! What a display! Let's not wait until next week, let's get this show on right now!
Almanti: I agree! Let's get it ON!!!!!
But it doesn't take long for security to surround the two men and break them apart. Security starts dragging them backstage.
Pilgrim: Wow! Next week is going to be one hell of a grudge match!
Almanti: Absolutely and the best part abot it all is that you're going to have two guys in the ring that love to pound on their opponents and have a nasty mean streaks! I predict blood will fall next week!
Pilgrim: Unbelievable! What else can happen! One thing's for sure...our next match is about to happen right now!

“Out ta Get me” Guns N Roses begins to blare throughout the arena as Big Ci steps out from behind the curtain. He gives some high fives on his way to the ring.
Pilgrim: And there is a man who has a chance to make an immediate impact on POW. Big Ci has a huge opportunity tonight!
Almanti: Beating Jason Roberts would be huge! He's coming off a recent win against all-everything Jay T. Nitro and that has really helped to catupult his career. If he could beat both JTN and Jason Roberts early in the year, I would say that Big Ci would have to be the odds-on favorite to be the man whose stock rises the most in 2007!
Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix begins to blast out over the speakers, smoke begins to fill around the entrance aisle when a spotlights hits on the entrance curtains. Jason Roberts walks out from behind the curtains and walks to the ring limping a little bit. He is ignoring everything around him. He is focusing on one thing and one thing only, the match.
Pilgrim: And there is Jason Roberts, the most decorated man in POW!
Almanti: He has a bit of a limp. Shawn Stevens really did a number on that leg last week. We'll have to see if Big Ci picks up on that!
ding-ding
Big Ci versus Jason Roberts
The bell sounds and Roberts lunges at Big Ci, who catches him with a Superkick. Roberts stumbles backwards and out to the floor.
Alex Pilgrim: This one has started with a bang! Tony Almanti: The bell just rang and the action is already out on the floor! Awesome!
Roberts climbs in again and manages to avoid an advance from Big Ci. He lands a left hand that causes Ci to lose his balance. Roberts follows up with a Roaring elbow, but misses and and is trapped in the corner. Ci hits a series of Knife Edge Chops - the crowd calling back "Whooo!" with every shot. Ci pulls roberts out of the corner and hits a swinging neckbreaker. Roberts climbs to his feet and catches a snap suplex. Roberts skids across the mat and pops back up to his feet. He charges wildly at Big Ci, who avoids him each time.
Alex Pilgrim: It looks like Roberts is losing his temper. Tony Almanti: Well, if you were taking that sort of beating, you'd get pretty mad, too!
He charges again and pulls Ci to the mat with him. Ci breaks free and lands a big leg drop before peeling him to his feet again. Roberts gets caught with a European Uppercut and falls to his knees. He scrambles to his feet again and leaps at Ci, who sidesteps. Roberts' momentum carries him over the top rope and out to the floor once again. This time, he doesn't get up. The referee's count grows higher and higher until Ci slides out and rolls his opponent back inside the ring.
Alex Pilgrim: Jason Roberts is favoring his shoulder, he could have hurt it on the way out. Tony Almanti: Well, more likely it happened when he landed.
Roberts uses the ropes to climb to his feet, but sinks again to one knee when the pain shoots through his shoulder. Big Ci grabs hold of him and lands The Evenflow DDT! He makes the cover.
1!
2!
3!
Alex Pilgrim: Roberts could be seriously injured. I don't know if we'll be seeing him around for a while.
Tony Almanti: Big loss, eh?

The lights dim to less than 30% and two spotlights circle the arena. "This is Absolution" kicks up over the sounds system and 11 seconds in when the vocals start up Lance Erickson walks out onto the entry way with his right fist raised. After a few seconds, he runs down to the ring, slides in and hops onto the far bottom rope, pointing to the crowd which pops huge. He drops down and walks to the middle of the ring in preparation for his opponent.
After sliding into the ring, Lance Erickson summons a stagehand to give him a mic. After he gets the microphone, he tosses the stagehand a thumbs up and waits for the music to die down while watching the crowd rock out. Finally the music dies down and Lance looks out over the crowd with a broad smile on his face.
Erickson: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN OF KANSAS CITY!!!! (Crowd Pops)
Lance waits for a few seconds until the crowd is done doing their thing.
Erickson: Tonight, in this very arena....I give to you THE MANLIEST MAN IN POWER ON WRESTLING!!! I'm here to introduce you to...ME...Lance Erickson!
The crowd waits for Lance to continue speaking with a mixed reaction.
Erickson: Now, I know you're all thinking "Who is this yahoo?". But I assure you right here and now that I'm here to give each and every one of you your money's worth. You pay your hard earned money to see world-class athletes beat...the HELL out of each other every week.
The crowd pops huge at this remark.
Erickson: I'm here for one thing only. To become heavyweight champion...and to look good doing it.
Lance Erickson goes into a couple of flex poses for the fans who eat it up.
Erickson: I'm going to teach these boys here in POW what it means to be real men in this gladiator's arena we've chosen as our profession. I'm telling each and every one of these wrestlers that if they stand in my way, I will mow them down and blast right through them.
"This is Absolution" kicks back up over the P.A. and Lance does a couple more poses for the crowd.
Pilgrim: And without a doubt, Lance Erickson is one of the most physically imposing wrestlers on the POW roster! Where does Capaci find these guys?
Almanti: Portland.
Pilgrim: What?
Almanti: Its on his bio. Capaci found this one in Portland.
Pilgrim: Shut up, Tony. Because when we get back, it will be time for our main event! You don't want to miss one!
Almanti: Stevens! Morrison! Coban! Hoyle! Heads are gonna roll, my friend! Heads are most definitely going to roll!

As the show comes back from commercial break, Richard Huff stands in the ring and the crowd is going nuts, ready for the main event.
Pilgrim: Well this is certainly the beginning of a good grudge match. Morrison has two hated enemies on both sides, but a solid partner in Brock Hoyle. This should be a dandy!
Almanti: All four of these guys have their own agendas. I wouldn't trust a single one of these guys!
Richard Huff: Ladies and gentlemen, fans of Power On Wrestling, welcome to the Ameristar Casino for tonight's MAIN EVENT!!!!
The crowd cheers.
Huff: First, with a combined weight of 488 pounds.....the Shawn Stevens and Chester Coban!!!!
The lights go out and the logo of S³ appears on the screen. Coban and Shawn Stevens appear at the entranceway together, high fiving each other before they start walking down the ramp.
Pilgrim: And this is a sight that really takes me by surprise. Shawn Stevens and Chester Coban are apparently really taking this tag match seriously and are going into it with 100% cooperation.
Almanti: They'll need to defeat their opponents!
Huff: And their opponents. First, weighing 219 pounds and standing at six feet, two inches tall, wrestling out of Las Vegas, Nevada....Brock Hoyle!!!!
The crowd cheers as "Blaze of Glory" by Bon Jovi begins to play over the PA system. Green and red lights flash all over the arena. Hoyle runs out from backstage, slapping hands with fans along the guardrail.
Pilgrim: Imagine that....they're coming out separately. I'm guessing Rich Morrison made sure of that!
Almanti: Forget the girlie things like entrances for a moment, Alex. I want to know if George Duke did any real damage in their backstage confrontation!
Huff: And his partner, weighing in at 210 pounds, standing 5 feet and 10 inches tall, wrestling out of New York City, RICH MORRISON!!!!
The crowd starts to boo as "Americas Most Hated" by Kevin Federline begins to play over the speakers in the UWL arena. The building goes dark and a single light is shown at the entryway. Out of the curtain, "New Money" Rich Morrison appears. The crowd is booing loudly as Rich arrogantly walks to the ring. Every footstep corresponds to a beat in his themesong. He slowly slides into the ring. He gets on the middle rope and throws his arms above his head. Morrison means business tonight folks!
Almanti: It's showtime!
All four men start jawing at each other in the center of the ring until Benny Lawson tells both teams to pick a starter and for someone to get on the apron. Coban and Stevens had talked about it before hand and decided that Stevens should start the match. Morrison and Hoyle have a quick discussion and decide that Rich should start off their side. Lawson checks to make sure both teams have one member in the ring and signals for the opening bell!
ding-ding
Brock Hoyle and Rich Morrison versus Shawn Stevens and Chester Coban
Morrison and Stevens look at each other across the ring and Stevens starts to move in, but Rich ducks out of the way. Again Stevens dashes in, but Morrison slides to the side. He works his way back to his corner and slaps Hoyle on the shoulder and tells him to get in the ring. Hoyle looks confused considering Rich hasn't even had to lock up with an opponent yet, but smirks, shrugs it off and climbs through the ropes.
Pilgrim: Can you believe the nerve of that guy? He wants no part of Shawn Stevens?
Almanti: Are you kidding me? It's the perfect plan. Let Hoyle beat up on Stevens and save energy for next week. It's brilliant!
Hoyle and Stevens eye each other down for a second before meeting hard in the center of the ring with a shoulder to shoulder lock. Stevens starts to get a slight push on Hoyle, but Hoyle drops down and whips Stevens over with an arm drag take down. Both men pop up right up. Brock smirks at Stevens who smiles back, unaffected by the move. The two men come back together and lock up again, but this time Stevens delivers a knee to the gut, doubling Hoyle over. Stevens quickly takes a flailing arm and gets a good standing armbar hold on Hoyle. Hoyle tries to break free, but Stevens has a good grip. He takes the arm behind Hoyle's back into a hammerlock. Hoyle tries a back elbow, but barely missed the head of Stevens. Another elbow connects and Stevens decides to end the hold with an inverted DDT. He quickly keeps a hold of Hoyle in one hand while tagging in Coban with the other. Stevens holds out the arm of Hoyle while Coban comes down with a hard strike on the elbow.
Pilgrim: And now that Stevens has taken control of the match, he'll let his partner take care of some things.
Almanti: Probably a smart move. Chester is the bigger, more powerful man. He can probably do more damage to a downed opponent.
Coban gets Hoyle to his feet and delivers some hard right hand punches to the chest and stomach in rapid succession. He tries to whip Hoyle into the rope, but Hoyle reverses and sends Coban into the rope, where Morrison is standing. Morrison takes an elbow and delivers it to the back of Coban's head before he can bounce of the ropes. Hoyle quickly moves to his corner and tags in his opponent. Hoyle hooks both arms of Coban to give Morrison a free knee shot to the gut of Chester Coban. Chester falls to the floor near the rope. Morrison uses the ropes for leverage and balance as he strikes several stomps to the chest and face of Chester Coban before Benny Lawson breaks it up. Morrison walks over to Stevens and slaps him in the face, which prompts Stevens to quickly hop into the ring and go after Rich, but the referee jumps between them to and tries to force Stevens back to his corner since he is not the legal man in the ring. Morrison is pointing Stevens out to the referee, reminding him he is, indeed NOT the legal man in the ring, while Stevens states his case. While Stevens is arguing with the referee, Morrison heads over to Coban and starts choking him with the bottom rope.
Pilgrim: That damn Rich Morrison has found every damn way under the sun to not win legitimately!
Almanti: But he wins....and that's what counts, right?
Morrison sees the referee is about to turn back around as Stevens has finally retreated back to his corner. Morrison snaps on a figure four on Chester Coban who has not been in good shape since Morrison landed the illegal blow to the back of the head early in the fight. The referee gets in position to see if Chester wants to submit, but Coban fights off the pain and manages to get a firm grasp of the bottom rope and Lawson forces Morrison to let go of the hold. Morrison released the hold and tags in Brock. Brock uses the ropes to springboard and lands a big leg drop on Coban and goes for the pin! Lawson get into position!
1....
2.....
KICKOUT!!!!
Pilgrim: And a close call! Morison and Hoyle have slowly started working like a team here!
Almanti: Both of these men just want to win. Losing hurts their pride more than anything, and that's what they're both trying to avoid.
Hoyle jumps up quickly and heads to the top rope. The top rope has always been his calling card and the crowd is excited to see him get back up there! He measures his opponent out and goes for a corkscrew shooting star leg drop, but Coban manages to just roll out of the way! Both men are down and lying flat on their back!
Pilgrim: And of course, when Hoyle goes to the top rope, it's always high risk, high reward and this time, the risk caught up to him!
Almanti: BUT! If he lands it, it's night-night, Sweetheart!
Lawson points to both men and starts executing the 10 count!
1......
2.......
3........
Morrison starts motioning with his hands that he wants Brock to get up. Stevens is much more lively, stomping hard and getting the crowd into it as they clap along with his rhythm.
4.......
5.......
Neither man is moving.
6........
7.......
Both Morrison and Stevens are jittery as neither man has moved a muscle.....
8.......
They start to stir......
9.........
Both men leap and tag their partners and roll out of the ring, but Stevens is the much more lively of the two and nails Morrison with some big right hands driving him to the corner. Stevens whips Morrison to opposite corner and follows it quickly with a running knee lift. He sends back to the corner they started in and quickly follows up with a big leaping body splash in the corner.
Pilgrim: And Stevens has seized control!
Almanti: This is the preview of the championship fight, right here!
Stevens pulls Rich to the center of the ring and hits a snap suplex. He quickly pulls Rich back up to his feet, but Rich manages to shove Stevens to the ropes. Morrison closes in and starts hitting some body punches, but Stevens quickly reverses the positions and gets Morrison on the ropes and nails some hard knee strikes to the spine of Morrison. Morrison regroups and the two start trading hard right hands again near the ropes!
Pilgrim: What the hell? Chester is on the ring apron with a chair!
Almanti: And he is aiming to use it!
Chester takes a swing, but Morrison ducks and it nails Stevens right in the head! Lawson can't call the match because Coban knocked out his own teammate. Morrison quickly jumps on Stevens and Coban allow the pin!
1......
2......
3!!!!!!!!!!
Pilgrim: I don't get it! I don't get it! Why did Chester allow Morrison to pin Stevens? It would have been an easy save!
Almanti: I just don't have a good answer, Alex.
Brock Hoyle finally rolls back into the ring and it's obvious that he his wondering the same thing. He looks confused as Chester stands there with a chair standing over Morrison. Chester raises the chair and......skips to Brock Hoyle and LEVELS him with it!!! Chester takes the hand of Rich Morrison and raises it in victory!
Pilgrim: THOSE BASTARDS! They had this planned all along! Coban and Morrison were never at odds!
Almanti: And the mind games for First Rights have already started, Alex. You better believe that!
Pilgrim: I know one thing is for damn sure! Stevens and Hoyle will be wanting some kind of retribution next week and we're going to be here to see it happen! What an ending!
The show closes with Rich and Chester still with hands raised and looking down at the bodies of Shawn Stevens and Brock Hoyle.
