The scene fades into a street in the dead of night. The street lights flicker in and out without signs of stooping due from the lack of not being fixed for many years. The camera pans to the left and shows there is a huge wall in which there is a freeway on top of. The camera pans back to the right. There are many different shops lined up in a row. Some of them look in desperate need of repair, and the others look completely abandoned. Except for one that still has its lights on. The camera begins to move slowly toward this lone shop. The camera works its way though the steam and the stench that rise from the near by sewer system. The camera man walks up to the front and pans up at the sign on the building. In big bold letters that are not lit it says “Showtime GYM”. The camera then pans to the door. The camera man opens the door and comes right into the front desk area. No one can be seen sitting at the desk. To the right side of the screen is the beginning of the gym equipment. The camera man walks toward the back of the gym. There is a wrestling ring seen in the back. Sitting on the ropes is a lovely lady. She smiles as the camera man focus the camera.
Fire: Welcome this is a treat. You found it. I was unsure if you could find your way to Showtime’s and mine’s gym. It has been so long since anyone has traveled her without the help of Mr. Showtime. Oh but back in the day this was a busy little gym once I started coming here. There used to be matches here in this ring every Friday night. It seemed to come alive. Oh how I miss those days. See this is the very ring where Showtime and I started our careers all those years ago. We both worked hard and both kicked ass. I guess nothing has really changed. We both still work hard for what we want and we still kick ass. Even though some things have changed. When we meet, I was nothing more then a model trying to make it, and he was a b-list actor just discovering the joy of wrestling. But now we both enjoy this sport and both want to make it to the top. Here is the real question though. Who deserves the top? I know when we make it that far we will finally have to stop working as a team and lash out at each other. It makes me wonder if our marriage is ready for such a conflict. Then I think back before we were even dating. There was a champion in this ring who thought he was better then Showtime because Showtime was still nothing more then an actor. He approached me and wanted me to lose Showtime and go with a real man. Only thing is that didn’t work out. We both got together and kicked that guy’s ass. We showed him that two underdogs can still take out the top dog. Even though I am sure Showtime could have took him out on his own. I was not gonna stand around and let that man get his hands on him. I am certain that same desire too win has not left either of us, but there is also the desire to protect each other. So most may say this is a 10-man match, but its really two people against eight others. If Showtime and I have worked together for a long time now, and this match will not change a thing. We will destroy all other eight men in this match.
Fire gets off the ropes and slides out of the ring closer to the camera.
Fire: I want all of you to listen well. Just because I am a so-called Diva and the first one you have encountered do not worry about breaking me. I may be a girl but im not as fragile as you would like to think. I have won my fair share of matches with men. Just because you’re supposed to be bigger or stronger doesn’t mean a thing to me. You all go down the same. You all underestimate my ability. A prime example of that would be Black. He thinks his skill with martial arts or his shear strength will get him through this match victorious. He is wrong. Black I will not back down from a challenge. I will do what it takes too win. No matter what the cost. Life and Limb go on the line every time I walk out into a ring. This match will be no different. I will give my all and then some. Can you say the same? No, I think not. You already believe this match is yours. Well you have another thing coming. It’s not. I assure you that you will not walk out of that ring victorious. You keep saying you’re the kind of man that is needed here in POW. Well maybe you are, but you’re not the man that will walk out a winner this time. At All In it’s all or nothing. You say not to bring up pasts experiences in past federations, but it’s just that prepares a person for such a match. I have been in two other feds and they both had great talent, but I am not letting that blind me to the kind of talent that is here in POW. It just happens I know some of the fellows here from the previous federations I was in. So that is how the past is relevant. I have faced some of these people before. It may not be relevant for me vs you, but it is for say me vs Shadow. So don’t tell us from BWF, UWW, UWC or any other federation in existence that we can’t use our past experiences. It is all relevant in the end. History makes us what we are Black, as well as future. So get your head out of your own ass and realize that.
Fire walks back to the front desk and sits down. She closes her eyes.
Fire: Ah the memories. I have so many in this place. I meet a great man here. He was so great I married him. I even meet another guy here who became a great friend. How I miss the days when life was simple. When there was only the worry of booking a photo shoot, but then reality sets in and I realize how much joy I get out of wrestling. Now this being said I wonder does Bubba have a thrill to wrestle. See I think not because he is to busy taking care of Nick Pickles needs. Im sure Bubba’s mind will be on the match at All In that Pickles will be in. See Bubba you will not be one-hundred percent because you will be thinking of all the help Pickles will need that you can’t give him. It sure has to be hard to be a bodyguard who can’t even do his job at All In.
Fire props her feet up on the desk and open her eyes
Fire: There is also on other thing in my past that I would like to bring forward. That is Shadow. Shadow you and I have history, and it’s a colorful one. You may want me to stay out of you’re way but that will not happened. Simply because we have faced each other in every fed we have been in together. I see that POW in this respect is no different. I will have great joy in facing you and trying to rip you apart again. We have hand some very nice fights even if most of them were to make Mr. Showtime upset. I am sure very little about you has changed since we faced one another. Then again I could be wrong, but either way im still gonna rip you a new one if I have to. I many not really want this tittle shot, but hey if I get it great ill take the gold till I can get what I really want.
Fire smiles and points to the door.
