Having come off another victory and taking another step up the ladder, George Duke trains hard for his next match. In his South Philadelphia home, Duke pounds a heavy bag in his home gym. He stop a moment and wipes the sweat from his face with a towel.
"Now for the real deal..."
George Duke has proved he can win, but this week, he has to show how brutal he can be. You can say George has taken special interest in this match. Aside from the things he speaks of, there is something else, something George might not even be conciously aware of. His problems with Eihildarr went unresolved. The big viking betrayed him in SCCW, and before in GCW. Eihildarr had become his worst enemy. Legal problems had shut down the company before that last bout. Eihildarr had returned to Norway before they could meet elsewhere. George was hyped up for a match that never happened. He thirsted for blood he didn't get to spill again. George glances at a photo on the wall of their first meeting in GCW. George has the Duke Lock on a very bloodied viking. It's no wonder George is training hard to best another sadistic foreign opponent.
"I'd be lying if I said that I hated my opponent this week. A violent, sadistic madman - a bloodletter that's not afraid to spill himself. Aside from being menacing, people from my generation were raised to be terrified of Russians. It should be a true "Clash of the Titans"."
George thinks back to hiding under his desk in grade school during air raid drills. He half smiles, but it fades as he continues.
"Now, with that being said - I'm only more inclined to beat the ever-loving sh*t of of Velimir Radinovic. There has been a bit of public interest swelling around this match. People will be watching. We've both been doing well so far, and we both have big reputations to live up to. What will happen when the two most sadistic men in the company meet one on one? One of them has to fall. Don't the Russians have a bit of a history with that? Ha! It is because I respect you, it is because this is a big match for us both - not to mention the tournament - it is because of these things that I must hurt you, comrade. There has to be gallons of blood in this match. There has to be hospital visits, one of us has to be utterly destroyed in the end. Otherwise, everyone goes home disapointed, and all the glory is gone. If I retire you this week - I will have done more than win a match. I will have proved that I am the better man. I will have proved it beyond a shadow of a doubt. George Duke is untouchable - George Duke is the king."
Duke slams a big right hand into the heavy bag, which sends it swaying back and forth. He walks away and into the other room to take a break. This week, Duke has something to prove. He wants to prove to the world that he is the meanest, most violent sunuvab*tch in the wrestling world. But more importantly, he has to close the wound left by Eihildarr, by beating another violent foriegner.
