Once again evil had been vanquished by our hero Reck Maverick proving that as always good is better then evil. But there is little time to reflect on the past contest... a contest that ONCE AGAIN STOLE THE SHOW! Rather, Reck must look forward to the upcoming First Rights. Those who attended the Press Conference know of the heroes plans for the show, but in a sudden change - Reck Maverick agreed to compete in a Triple Threat contest to help determine a potential number 1 contender for the Valor Championship.
With First Rights a mere 7 days away. Reck Maverick travels back to his native San Jose California to prepare for the bout. There he gives his thoughts on the Valor Championship. We see him dressed in faded blue jeans, a black "Reider Rulez" T-shirt under an unbuttoned plaid shirt, and a similar hooded ninja mask that we saw at the Press conference, except this one is red.
Reck Maverick - In an unique, and completely unexpected twist of fate - Your hero suddenly finds himself in viable contendership for the POW Valor Championship. Think of it - two matches, 6 WORLD CLASS contenders involved in an struggle for the honour to be called the number one contender for that Championship Belt. First Right's isn't even upon us yet and already the Valor Championship is the HOTTEST property in the company! I mean look at the dude battling in the other contest - Big Ci, Lance Erickson and Macros! Those three alone would carry the division for YEARS, and that match will EASILY be runner up for match of the night...
But the match that will take that honour will be Jason Lee, Cran Landom and of course Reck Maverick. Anyone of those 6 names could be the front-runner of the company. But y'know I'll leave the hyping of Macros, Lance and Ci to those three dudes. I'm more concerned with my match because no offense to anyone on the roster but I have - hands down, the hardest contest on the card, against too of the toughest dudes in POW. However, no matter how good Jason Lee is and no matter how Cran Landom is... the one walking away from the ring on that night with spot in the number one contenders match is going to be the STAR of SHOW! That's right Reckrophiliacs - Your winner will be the HERO of the STORY! Why? I don't know but so far whenever I said that it's came true so why stop now.
I look forward to battling either George Duke or Victor Bloodmoon for that Championship belt, because if I beat them, then and only then will I know that I beat the undisputed BEST in POW, the physical belt with only be an added bonus. The title of Champion of Valor is something I'm striving for. Not for the added cash to my paycheck, not the added credibility to my rep but for the fact that the Valor Championship is custom made for me - the HERO of POW! Valor and Heroes go together like chocolate and peanut butter.
But do not let my glimpses into the possible future be confused with over-confidence and under-estimation for my First Rights opponents. I will focus everything I know, everything I think I know, and a few things I made up into this match. I wish the both of you... Jason Lee, Cran Landom the best of luck in our contest and no, that is not a sarcastic comment, I genuinely wish you both well because I know in my heart of hearts that regardless of who actually wins this thing that it WILL steal the show and on February 22nd 2007 the names Cran Landom, Jason Lee and Reck Maverick will become IMMORTAL!
You will hear from me again before then fellas, because were the flame of competition flickers... The Maverick will appear.
Reck gives the camera - and by extension - Lee and Landom the trademark thumbs up as the feed cuts out.
To be Continued...
