Kip Anderson is seen walking backstage with his notepad. He looks happy that he got his interview with Shawn Stevens. All he has to do now is return to his office and his day is pretty much done. As he turns around a corner in the arena, he sees POW World Heavyweight Championship hopeful Rich Morrison standing with his unidentified woman next to a vending machine. Kip knows that Rich likes to talk a lot so he decides to go unnoticed. The woman points in Kip's direction. Rich turns around and yells Anderson's name out loud. Kip tries to ignore him but Rich jogs over and catches up to him. Rich convinces him to make one more interview before his day is over. Kip Anderson agrees as he walks over to the vending machine.
Kip Anderson:I'm standing here next to Rich Morrison, former UWL superstar and current POW Main eventer. Rich, this interview is for US Wrestling Magazine. Is there anything you would like to say to our readers to start this interview off?
Rich:First off, I just want to give a big "Thank You" to all of the people who bought the copy of your magazine with me on the cover. I think it was the March 2006 copy. Apparently, it was the highest selling issue of all time. I know it was because of all of the cool action shots of me and the career highlight pages. It's good to know I am still the most sought after talent in the scene...
Kip Anderson:Well Rich, as great as that article was, I believe the reason it sold so many copies was actually because of the sit down interview we had with "Sensational" Shawn Stevens. It was right after a big victory and we wanted to get an exclusive.
Rich looks shocked. Did Kip Anderson actually say what he thought he just said? There is no way that someone would say that in front of Rich Morrison.
Rich:Yeah, Kip. I'm sure it was because of Shawn. Ha! You always pulled the best ribs.
Kip Anderson looks amazed that Morrison thinks the world revolves around him.
Kip Anderson:Yeah, I'm a joker. Anyway, let's get back to business. This match that you are close to embark on is what some are calling the "Battle for it All". Do you agree with these people? Is this match going to be one of your toughest challenges to date? .
Rich:Kip, I have to agree with that statement. You see, when POW first opened, I knew that we were on to something special. I knew that whoever won the first ever POW Championship was going to be immortalized in professional wrestling history. You can hear it in Shawn, you can hear it in me. If the POW World Heavyweight Championship wasn't so sought after, we wouldn't be working this hard. This match is going to be long. This match is going to be violent. While I don't respect Shawn Stevens and he doesn't respect me...I'm sure everyone knows that when they watch this match...they are going to be watching two of the finest athletes going head to head for an honor to represent this organization.
Kip Anderson:Many have called you out on being more of a "Sports Entertainer" rather than a traditional wrestler. What are your thoughts on that?
Rich thinks for a bit, looks at the woman, and laughs...
Rich:Seriously, people still say that? If anyone bothered to check, I've been trained by some of the best workers in the world. Hell, I've been in the ring with some of the best. Everyone who says I'm untalented obviously isn't watching the same matches that countless promoters all over the world are watching. Despite the supposed "attitude" and "talentless" claims, I'm still getting work, aren't I? And for the fans who complain about me, they have never worked a match in their life. They have no business even commenting on a performance I give. How about they get in the ring and get hit by 3 chair shots? Seriously.
I challenge any non-wrestler to get in the ring with me for 10 minutes and leave the same as they were before they fought me. I've got hundreds of moves, ring psychology and microphone skills. I can put together a match and work it just fine. Does it bother me that people say it? Not really. It really is all jealousy. That's what Stevens gets off on. He tries to get me riled up, when he is the one who is sub-par.
Kip Anderson:What about this woman? Who is she? Does she have a name?
Rich smiles at the woman. She begins to speak.
WOMAN:Yeah, I've got a name. But, I don't like talking to losers. I only associate myself with winners. Kip, that means I'm not telling you my name.
Kip Anderson:Well, what do you think of Rich Morrison's match with Shawn Stevens?
WOMAN:What do I think? (Giggles) Obviously, Rich is going to be walking out of "First Rights" with the Power On Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship. Don't you listen to what he says? He's the "Icon", he's the "Standard", he's the greatest wrestler in the history of the industry. That's what I think of Rich's match with Shawn Stevens.
Rich takes out a dollar and puts it into the vending machine next to him. He then grabs the energy drink that pops out of the machine. He opens up the can and begins to drink.
Kip Anderson:It seems as though you are well prepared for your match. What is your strategy?
Rich:Time and time again, I've always mentioned my strategy for my match. This time, it's no different. I plan on going in there and making Stevens wish he didn't advance to the tournament final. The longer this match goes, the more in my favor it is. If there is one thing people CAN'T take away from me, is my conditioning. I can go for an hour. I know Stevens is young, but he doesn't have the years that I have. As long as this match takes, I'll be fighting move for move with him.
I'm sure he is going to want to try and nail me with the Windy City Driver, but I know the counter. I've been studying tapes, Kip. That has been my "business" over the last few days. I've been on the hunt to find rare Triple S tapes to study. I've seen counters, Kip. Counters that you would have never guessed in a million years. I plan on using them too. I can't wait to beat this kid and hold that belt over my head.
That big gold belt is going to look awfully nice on my shoulder and around my waist. And after I win it, this fine woman and I will be sleeping with it!
She laughs as she unbuttons the top 3 buttons of her shirt. She whispers something to Rich.
Rich:Yeah, we can do that too.
Kip looks a bit uneasy. He wants to end this interview fast.
Kip Anderson:Rich Morrison, if you win the POW Championship, what can we expect from you?
Rich:You can expect me to be a fighting champion who uses his strengths to his advantage. I'm going to once again be the greatest heavyweight champion in the world. If there is one person who you DON'T doubt in a title situation, it's Rich Morrison.
The woman interrupts the conversation.
WOMAN:And you can expect me to make sure Morrison remains...happy.
She grabs Morrison's lower region.
Rich:And you can expect her to make me happy.
Stevens, I keep saying it but...keep training. I've got ONE more thing to do before our match. I'll see you soon, Shawn. And that's a fact!
The camera fades to black as Rich and the woman walk out of the arena.
