Setting: POW Arena
Time: 7:03 PM
The arena is filled to it’s maximum capacity. In just a few short moments, the next POW TV Taping shall begin. This week is going to be a hell of a show, no doubt. The card is stacked from top to bottom with exciting matches that are sure to turn on the crowd and have them screaming for more once the show is over. One match that is taking place this week is Rich Morrison versus one of the Horsemen, Big Ci. Big Ci is notorious for his strength in the ring and his savvy business mindset. Morrison is known for his in-ring resilience, over the top personality and his ability to piss off people without even saying a word. It is being fed to us through our producer that we have allotted time for Mr. Morrison to come out here and express his views last minute before the show. I’m sure we have some people out there interested in what he has to say. Greg Kilgreen is standing in the ring with a microphone and an index card. Let’s see what he has to say.
[Greg Kilgreen]
If I can have your attention please. Much like I was instructed to do last night, I am here with this pre-written statement. I am here to introduce one of the most recognized faces in the sports entertainment industry. This man needs no introduction but he requested I give one anyway. He was born in Long Island, New York. He was raised in Queens, New York and he now resides in Manhattan, New York. He stands in at 5’10 and weighs 210 pounds. He is a former LWE World Heavyweight Champion and a former MPW World Heavyweight Champion, as well as a holder of many lower tier titles all over the globe. He is the self proclaimed “Undisputed King of Wrestling”. Ladies and gentlemen, this is…Rich Morrison.
-"Americas Most Hated" by Kevin Federline begins to play over the speakers in the POW arena. The building goes dark and a single light is shown at the entryway. Out of the curtain, "New Money" Rich Morrison appears. The crowd is booing loudly as Rich arrogantly walks to the ring. Every footstep corresponds to a beat in his theme song. He slowly slides into the ring. He gets on the middle rope and throws his arms above his head. He steps down from the turnbuckle and "runs the ropes" for a bit. He finally stops, looks into the camera. However, his usual grin is replaced with a solemn look.-
[Rich Morrison]
I know what you’re thinking. Really, I do. I know you are expecting me to come and run my mouth about the phone call I got last night. You know, the disturbing one that left me visibly shaken. Well, I am not going to give you people that luxury. I am not going to give you sick, perverse people a chance to laugh at my misfortune. Do you know who I am? My name is Rich Morrison. I’m the guy that laughs at the misfortune of others. I have no responsibility to explain that phone call to any of you pathetic invalids here in Kansas City . I have no responsibility to explain it to anyone. It was a prank, that was it. It was a stupid prank, right? I mean, there isn’t a legit hit out on me. There isn’t anyone in this business or this existence that would think of trying to kill me. I mean, sure. I’ve done some wrong. Sure, I might have screwed over a few people. But- would that warrant the removal of my life? No. I don’t think so. So, whoever this mystery man is better back off because I have 8 personal security guards that will be following me everywhere I go from now on. Gentlemen, can you please take your places?
-Eight large men wearing ski masks diligently march to the ringside area. They are all walking in unison, much like an army. They take their places, much like Morrison asked, at the four corners of the ring, and the 4 sides. They stand facing outwards, just in case anyone decides to jump the guardrail or come in from the backstage area.-
[Rich Morrison]
Now, I want to see the mystery man try and get to me through the sea of highly trained guards that I have employed to watch my back 24/7 until this matter is cleared. I want to see the mystery man, no, I want to see any man try attack me during an unsanctioned affair. It’s just not going to happen and I know this for a fact.
-The crowd is amazed at the size of the men, they are also shocked at the paranoia running through the mind of Rich Morrison. This is eating him up inside. For someone so comfortable at his place in society, he thinks that his money can save him from an ass kicking, or even death.-
[Rich Morrison]
Enough of this talk about the phone call. Enough of it. The matter at hand is simple. In a few short hours, I will be going one on one with Big Ci. He will bring his a-game, no doubt. Just like he always has, and always will. I have my mind set in the game and the game is “How many times I can smash Ci’s head against the top turnbuckle?”. I’m going to go for a new record tonight. In our first match, it was 3. In a subsequent match, it was 6. Tonight, I am going to try to smash his head against the turnbuckle an astonishing 7 times! I’m going to make him so dizzy, he’s easy prey for one of my many amazing finishing moves.
-Rich is looking all around him. He motions to Greg Kilgreen to come in the ring. One of the guards frisks Greg before he slides in. Kilgreen has entered the ring, he is looking around at the guards. He then moves his line of vision over to Rich Morrison.-
[Greg Kilgreen]
Yes, Rich?
[Rich Morrison]
You know what, all of these people in the audience? I’m sure one of them is the guy who called me. I’m sure he has a gun with him, some sort of pistol. I’m sure of it.
[Greg Kilgreen]
I doubt any of these good people here in Kansas City want to kill you Rich, honestly. You’re a performer, they know you’re not a gimmick, like you’ve said countless times. However, they know what you do in your personal life has no effect on them.
[Rich Morrison]
I can’t even form a sentence without thinking ahead. Here.
-Rich hands Greg a few index cards. Apparently, they are pre-written questions. With only a few hours before his match against Ci and a little over a week before his match with Holmes, there must be thousands of things going on in the mind of Rich Morrison-
[Greg Kilgreen]
Um, alright. Rich- what is your strategy for your match against Big Ci tonight?
[Rich Morrison]
What an awesome question, Greg! You see, I know Big Ci is going to try and use his strength against me. I’m a bit faster than he is, and I’ve got more flexibility. I’m a master of many styles and I am going to use that to my advantage. He’s going to burn out fast, well, that’s my opinion.
-Greg Kilgreen reads the next card without thinking.-
[Greg Kilgreen]
I’m gay.
-Rich Morrison laughs, as does the crowd. It’s good to see Morrison hasn’t lost his sense of humor through this ordeal.-
[Greg Kilgreen]
Hey! Listen man, I’m doing you a favor here. I can easily go back by the timekeeper and have you do this yourself.
[Rich Morrison]
Alright, alright. No more jokes. Next question.
[Greg Kilgreen]
Now then, do you think your match with Big Ci tonight will wear you down too much before your high profile match with Kalius Holmes at SuperMania III?
[Rich Morrison]
No Greg, I don’t. I think I am going to defeat Big Ci pretty easily. The fact that I get along with him aside, I know I am a better athlete than he is. I know that I am a better wrestler than he is. I know that I am better than he is at everything. There is no room for oversized loafs like him in the wrestling business anymore. He should stay in his office, running Four Horsemen Enterprises. I think he would be better off.
[Greg Kilgreen]
Alright, that was the last question.
[Rich Morrison]
You may exit.
-The guards allow Greg to leave the ring and sit next to the timekeeper.-
[Rich Morrison]
With that, kids, I bid you farewell. I have to get ready for my upcoming encounter.
-Rich exit’s the ring, he stands in between the 8 security guards as they march towards the backstage area. "Americas Most Hated" by Kevin Federline begins to play over the speakers again in the POW arena. The building goes dark and a single light is shown at the ramp, "New Money" Rich Morrison begins his exit as the light follows him away.-
