Reck Maverick is backstage in his Ninja Uniform and Atomic Ninja T-shirt (Still available!) with a bottle of the Drink of Champions in his hand. He is prepared for one of his Award-Winning Pre-taped interviews but mysteriously Greg Kilgreen is no where to be seen? There were rumours that he suffered a nervous breakdown or something but nothing was confirmed...
Reck Maverick - Hey Jimmy! Where is Greg?
Jim the Camera Dude - I don't know R.M. but the producer said your going to be interviewed by the new girl!
Reck Maverick - What new girl? I didn't get a memo about any new...
Suddenly Maverick quickly Ninja-flips out of the way to avoid a SHURIKEN! Reck quickly draws his Blade of Legend and prepares to attack his would-be assassin - no doubt a rival Ninja hired by Murderous Entertainment, but as soon as Maverick lays eyes on the attacker his muscles (or lack of... SHUT UP!) relax. It was Reck's former Tag partner and fellow clan member Jayde Nightwood that threw the shuriken. He puts away the blade as she approaches.
Reck Maverick - You're still too slow Kunoichi...
Jayde - Nah, I didn't watch to eliminate my meal ticket so soon.
Reck Maverick - Meal ticket?
Jayde - Yeah, Mr. Capaci hired as an interviewer in light of Kilgreen's "Condition." You just happened to be the first person I am suppose to interview.
Reck Maverick - I see... Well then, shall we start this interview and win us an award for best comedic duo?
Jayde gives Maverick a thumbs up and duplicates the gesture for Jim as the camera starts to roll.
Jayde - This is Jayde Nightwood and I am currently backstage with "The Atomic Ninja" Reck Maverick after his and Shawn Stevens victory over Murderous Entertainment - Now Maverick obviously that was NOT the way you wanted to win that match.
Reck Maverick - No way dudette - the battle against Good and Evil CANNOT be won on DQ's and run-ins. Sooner or later The Hero of the Story will face off against Murderous Entertainment, and the outcome will be different... well not different, the outcome will be the same - I will win... but the CIRCUMSTANCES in which I win will be different.
Jayde - Reck Maverick versus the Murderous Entertainment company - a sure fire Main Event any day, but so could be you upcoming match.
Reck Maverick - What do you mean I am FINALLY getting my dream match against Adam West!
Jayde - No... but close - You're facing against Josh Eagles.
Maverick snaps his fingers in mock-disappointment.
Reck Maverick - So my vintage Sidekick returns... with a VENGENCE DUN-DUN-DUNNNNN!
Jayde - Sidekick?
Reck Maverick - Indeed, I suppose it's been a while and the newer Reckrophiliacs may not remember the Tag Team of Ninja-Man and Birdboy - The Canadian Prodigies. It was pure gold, I was dressed... well pretty much the same as I am now except my hair was shorter and Beagles wore this hilarious smock with a pigeon on it but unfortunately like so many good teams, Josh's ego lead to it's destruction. He claimed I took 1% more of the merchandise revenue then he did and he called shenanigans. Well the case was decided in my favour so Josh bolted... That was 6 years ago, I haven't seen him since.
Jayde - I see... wait, what about MPW and UWL and the FRIGGIN' CCWA!
Reck Maverick - Non-Canon

Reck Maverick - I am Ninja - all things are possible. Now shush - I'm not done yet.
Now I gathered intel from my lovable but slow half-brother Flap Flanagan that Josh was running around the independent scene make OUTLANDISH rumours that he had defeated ME! That is ludicrous - only two people have ever beaten me: The recently pink-slipped Macros Vitruvious and Rich Morrison... there was also that 8 tag match but I wasn't pinned therefore it don't count. So let's recap... whose beaten me?
Jayde - ...Macros and Rich Morrison
Reck Maverick - You pass! Now did that list contain the words Josh, Eagles or any combination of the two?
Jayde - No.
Reck Maverick - Two of two! You're on FIRE

Since Josh Eagles' name is not Rich Morrison or Macros Vitruvious is goes to prove that he has not beaten me. Tsk Tsk - Tis a shame that a bright mind that he once possessed has twisted and deformed into a pit of hatred and fantasy.
But alas - the need for DVD buys and television ratings has made Mr. Capaci reunite The Hero and the Sidekick for one final run. This match - if that is what you want to call it - will be similar to all the games of Snakes and Ladders he and I used to play on road. I - the hero, the STAR climb the ladders upward and onward toward the light of success and he is left tugging on the head on the snake...
Jayde starts laughing uncontrollably.
Reck Maverick - Problem?
Jayde - *Still laughing* Are you - Ha ha - sure that's the - Ha ha - the metaphor you wish to use? HA!
Reck Maverick - Of course it is... Reck Maverick never says what he does not mean. Now I must return to my studies and prepare for the next attack by Murderous Entertainment. You may bring your camera back later and ask me more questions if you like.
Maverick walks out of camera view as Jayde looks into the camera.
