Well since our last episode Reid and Jayde went and had dinner at this little bistro - in fact this episode was suppose to take place during their dinner but nothing of really importance so for the purposes of story progress we'll skip that part. So anyway we once again find them walking along the street hand in hand. (aww)
Jayde - Was it just me or was that place boring as hell?
Reid Flanagan - No... it was dull, and the food wasn't all that good either.
Jayde - So then why did we go there in the first place?
Reid Flanagan - Because George Duke recommended it...
Jayde - And you listened to him?
Reid Flanagan - You think his constant wanting to put me in the ICU would have tipped me off but apparently my Reider-Sense was buggy.
Jayde literally laughs out loud with that comment and Reid just smiles.
Jayde - I'm still a bit hungry... You want to go get some REAL food?
Reid Flanagan - I think there's a Pizza Hut around here somewhere.
Jayde - Yeah, it's actually right near my apartment.
Reid stops in his tracks and tilts his head.
Reid Flanagan - Wait... When did you get an apartment?
Jayde - Well we ALL can't live rent free in the boiler room can we?
Reid nods his head.
Reid Flanagan - Touche... Well then what are we waiting for?
Jayde unleashes a sly grin.
Jayde - We are waiting... for your slow ass!
Reid Flanagan - WHAT?
Jayde - RACE!
Now the grin grows across the face of The Atomic Ninja.
Reid Flanagan - Okay Kunoichi... but don't cry when you lose!
Jayde - Reck... don't feel Jayded when I beat you.
Reid looks at Jayde and grins.
Reid Flanagan - Was that a pun?
Jayde - Yeah...
Reid Flanagan - I give it a 4 for originality but a 10 for delivery! Anyway back to business...
Both racers takes mark to start the race.
Jayde - Ready...
Reid Flanagan - Set...
Help!
Reid stands up.
Reid Flanagan - Help? Is that your idea of a psyche? I mean if you're AFRAID just admit it.
Jayde looks back over her shoulder and her eyes widen.
Jayde - That wasn't me Reck... look!
Jayde points to wards a women being mugged by two hoods.
Reid Flanagan - Well we had Dinner...
Reid pulls out his Ninjetti Buckler.
Reid Flanagan - Are you up for some dancing?
Jayde nods and produces her own Buckler.
Jayde - As long as they don't play any New Country I'm game.
The duo dash into the shadows as we cut over to the muggers... One of them holds a knife to their victims throat while the other grabs her purse. The one with the knife must be a lonely guy because he's trying to cop a feel of his new lady friend when a shuriken zooms past his head. They both turn their attention to the source of the blade as the women drops to her knees. The two muggers squint in the light trying to see the figure standing before him.
Reck Maverick - C'mon guys! Mugging? Are you TRYING to be cliche! It's a nice night you could've done as an alternative - You could've gone to the movies and watched Underdog - Which I highly recommend! You could have gone bowling, went to the 7/11 and got a slushy but No... No you'd rather come out and give this poor woman a traumatic experience and more importantly make me clock in to work... You do know you're in for a boat load of ouchies right?
The dude with the purse takes off running... Reck watches him run and then eyes his buddy.
Reck Maverick - Good friend he is... So it's one on one huh?
Mugger 1 - I'm not afraid of you man!
Reck Maverick - Of course you're not... You types never are... Thing is fear is irrelevent... the only thing that matters...
Reck draws his Blade of Legend as the Mugger fumbles his knife and it drops to the concrete... A smile grows under Reck's mask.
Reck Maverick - Is your pain...
Meanwhile the other mugger is running down the street, looking over his shoulder for the man in black... and fails to notice the foot that trips him up and sends him to the ground. He rolls over to his back and notices a woman approaching him dressed similarly to first interloper... But more importantly he notices her twin sai pointed at him.
Kitsune - Have a nice TRIP!
The mugger quickly scrambles to his feet and takes a swing at Kitsune, but she easily dodges his blow and knees him in the stomach and follows it up with a spinning sobat kick the doubles him over but he quickly regains his wind and tries another punch but Kitsune hooks his wrist with her Sai and uses the momentum to slam into the ground... She then mounts his chest holds a sai directly above his face.
Kitsune - Nighty-night ugly.
Kitsune reverse her grip on the sai and knocks him out with the blunt end of the sai.
Kitsune drags his body back to the scene of the crime and notices Reck just standing there. She walks up to him and places her hand on his shoulder.
Kitsune - Don't tell me you left him get away.
Reck Maverick - Of course not... He ran up that tree... and I don't want to climb up after him... So I got two choices, either chop the tree down which would result in a big crash but then I'd have the environmentalist on my ass or two... you lend me your boomerang and I knock him out of the tree.
Kitsune hands Maverick her Boomerang and he whips it at the mugger and he falls out of the tree. Reck catches the boomerang and hands it back to her owner. Maverick then walks over to the mugger and grabs him by the shirt and pulls him to his feet and THWACK gives him a one-shot KO punch... The duo then tie the muggers feet together and hang them upside down from the previously mentioned tree... Kitsune then walks back over to the poor lady for had to watch all that. Kitsune hands the woman back her purse.
Kitsune - There you are ma'am - One purse... all the contents should be in there.
Reck Maverick joins them after securing the thugs and writing a clever note to leave for the local police department.
Lady - Thank you both so much but... Who are you?
Reck Maverick - The Heroes of the Story!
Kitsune - And The Stars of The Show!
Reck Maverick - Speaking of which... I think I'm in ring shape now for my tag match against John Anthony and Buddy Johansson.
Kitsune - No doubt.
Reck Maverick - And since I mentioned their names does that make this whole event match relevant?
Kitsune - I think it does!
Reck Maverick - Sweet... NOW, about that pizza...
Kitsune - GO!
Kitsune takes off running... it takes Reck a moment to remember about the race and he quickly takes off after her... meanwhile the Women is standing there confused - she doesn't have a damn clue what just happened so she just clutches her purse and quickly hurries away.
