The scene opens outside. We are in front of a house. The door opens and Big Ci steps out. He walks out on to the sidewalk and speaks into the camera.
Big Ci: Hey there. Well it’s 9 am and I am on my way to the Star Pavilion, once again in order to step inside the squared circle. However there are a number of things that are distracting me this week. First and foremost… George Duke is back. I guess I hadn’t rid myself of him after all. George came back last week… re-energized and reinvigorated. He waited until I had wrestled Mr Showtime in a gruelling title defence before beating whatever life was left, out of me. Well George Duke it would appear that my championship requires a new name because all the Valor that it once represented is long in the past. This title used to stand for pure wrestling… for sportsmanship and for competition. But now… now it is about sneak attacks… hatred… and pain. And you know… that suits me fine. Over are the days when I will wait for a match to kick your ass… long gone are the days when I have to hear a bell before I beat you black and blue. From now on… if you are prepared to attack me… then you must be prepared to be attacked. Then George, when it comes to me and you going one on one for this title for, what will have to be, the final time… I will end you… finish you… beat you into a bloody pulp and I will pin you to the mat and beat you again.
Now, when and if these attacks begin… well I don’t think you need worry. It could be this week, when you face Scott Lanegan… it could be next week… or the week after… It could be before, during or after… or it could be not at all. So don’t worry about when… worry about if… if you will be able to cope with what I have in store for you.
But also on my plate is the final nail in the coffin of the 4 Horsemen: Xtreme Edition. Reck Maverick left the Horsemen… after only just proclaiming himself leader. He left the group and he left me. So what am I supposed to do with a group that doesn’t exist? What am I to do with a faction with no members? What the hell am I supposed to do? The answer… nothing. The Horsemen are done… at least for now. From now on I am going to do what everyone else seems to do… what’s best for me. So the whole horsemen thing… screw it… I created the group and I am putting it on hiatus.
You know… in the story of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in the Book of revelations… only one Horseman was named… that Horseman… Death. And just like then… only one Horsemen will be named… only one Horsemen will matter… and he is “The Original Horsemen” Big Ci.
But in the greatest twist of irony… my first week as a one man band… is spent teaming up with my former partner, Reck Maverick. Reck and I, team Midwest… are going two on two with the best the North East has to offer in the Mid Atlantic Champion Buddy Love and the Eastern Heavyweight Champion John Anthony… Now again with the looming idea of title unification ever present, I could very well be getting an opportunity to take a look at my opponent up close in Buddy Love. It wouldn’t be the first time though. Not so long ago I was in a similar position with Eddie Jones when we took on Buddy and Barnett… and it was team MW that had victorious then as well. That trend will continue this week when Buddy and John fall to the former Horsemen and the Midwest champions. Whether I pin Buddy or John or Reck does the honors… we will walk out the winners. Till then… Big Ci… over and out
End of promo
