First rp back in almost a year. Enjoy! Hope i havent lost my touch
Sarah, how I long for thee. If I could feel your lips upon mine just once more, my life would be complete. This, I do in remembrance of you.
“Where is he? That bastard! I’ll kill em!”
These words echoed in the hallway of the estate of Dan Harvey. The sound of her high heels clopping against the floor embody her furious rage, seeking out the target of her frustration. Her journey comes to an end as she stands over a man appearing his early thirties lifting weights. Forcefully, she slams her hands on the bar and begins to push downward, her hair spraying down, creating an expression that could only be described as demonic.
“What the hell is going on here?”
Trying to push the already heavy bar up was all but impossible with her added weight. His struggle to keep the weight off his neck was becoming more fruitless with each passing moment.
“My arms… are going to give out….”
Unsatisfied with the answer, the angry woman leans against the bar, putting even more weight for him to content with. The bar begins to fall dangerously close to his fragile neck as she speaks, venom spewing from her lips.
“You’re f**king worthless!”
She lifts her body off the barbell and turns to walk out of the room. With his burden significantly lessoned, Dan is finally able to push the weight up, slowly placing it on the wrack. His soar arms languidly fall to his sides as he speaks.
“Watch your language in my house Jen! I don’t want Jessica picking up any of your bad verbal habits.”
Stopped in her tracks she turns to face him, once more spouting the venomous hatred now surging through her mind.
“Oh don’t you act like Mr. Father of the year. I have half a mind to… to…”
Dan sighs as he sits up to address his verbal aggressor.
“What is this about exactly? Obviously you’re pissed off at me.”
She begins to move toward him and nearly slaps him in the face as she continues her tirade.
“You’re damned right I’m pissed off! You’re going to get yourself killed again!”
Finally realizing why she is upset, Dan groans and stands up. There was no reason to continue this argument if this is how she was going to handle it.
“I take it you heard I was going back to the ring then. Can you please save me the lecture? They didn’t work when she gave them, and they aren’t going to work now.”
“Yeah well things are different now. Jessica is five and you’re her only parent! What do you think is going to happen if you do get hurt? Sarah won’t be there to take care of the two of you!”
Dan walks over to the water fountain during her speech, enjoying the fresh and cool water flowing over his lips.
“Who is going to watch her Dan? Who the hell is going to take care of your daughter when you’re out there on the road day in and day out?”
He finally turns to look at her, the indifference clear on his face and his voice.
“You didn’t read the contract very well did you? I’m not going to be on the road Donna. I’m going to be on the road at max a full day out of the entire week. I fly in for the match then fly back home. Besides, that’s why God invented teenage girls.”
“Oh don’t even joke like that!”
“Why would I be joking?”
The rage that was on Donna’s face before was now replaced with a shocked expression, in total awe of his ignorance.
“How could you even consider letting some little teenage whore watch your darling little baby girl?!”
“Easy. I’ll just tell her the same thing I told myself when I let you watch her the other day. Look I know you are concerned but you honestly need to relax. My parenting style is none of your business. Jessica has never gone without, you know that. I would never let anyone harm a hair on her head. Besides, we had babysitters when we were little and it didn’t hurt us any.”
Taking things a step further, Donna feels intent on winning the argument. Her voice grows louder as she speaks.
“Didn’t hurt us? You didn’t see the things I saw! I saw horrible horrible things!”
Dan rolls his eyes and crosses his arms over his chest.
“You saw our babysitter making out with her boyfriend.”
With a wave of her arms, she continues onward, undaunted by his apparent lack of concern.
“But he had her hand on his chest!”
“Oh Jesus Christ, Donna get over it! It isn’t their fault you walked down at the wrong time to get some water. Even if that were to happen again, I’m sure Jessica could handle it until I came home and fired them. You’re just being a drama queen yet again.”
Having had enough of the conversation, Dan makes his way past the door leading to the rest of the house. Quickly following behind, Donna places a hand on her brother’s shoulder.
“Look. I just don’t want to watch you get hurt again. You’re getting older. Your next injury could be your last.”
Dan picks up the hand on his shoulder, turning around to look at his concerned sister.
“Donna, I’m thirty two, not fifty two. I’ll be fine! You act like I’ve never wrestled before. Besides, this isn’t your decision to make. I signed the contract. My lawyer faxed it over yesterday. It’s all official. There isn’t any going back now.”
She sighed very heavily after hearing the news. There was nothing else she could say or do to change Dan’s mind. She knew she had to accept the fact he would be wrestling again.
“Just promise me you’ll be alright.”
Dan grins, his hand running over her shoulder.
“I promise. Now get out of here before I call the cops.”

“So he wants to play with fireworks does he? Well two can play at that game. [/i]
----------------------
The empty void swallows us all. The only comfort to our eyes as we gaze inward into this desolate abyss is the faint flicker of light coming from the distance. A voice echoes through the nothingness, destroying with it the calm serenity which had embraced the audience before.
“Fire… the most devastating of elements, and yet the most controllable.”
The flicker in the distance begins to grow in size, engulfing everything in its most unnatural path. Its power continues to grow as a figure in the foreground begins to emerge, outlined by the burning embers behind.
“Fire must feed off the essence of life in order to survive, a leach in the natural world. It also has a very therapeutic property to it, engulfing life so that rebirth may occur. If you take away the essence of life, then fire…”
The embers burning begin to die down, its intensity slowly smothered into nothingness. In its place a white tapestry flows down. Its shifting texture creates a curtain that wraps itself around the figure that was created by the fire.
“will be extinguished, leaving room for new life to be born.”
The figure now emerges from the curtains revealing The Unstoppable Dan Harvey donning a pair of dark sunglasses and his black wrestling tights. With a devilish smirk on his face he faces the viewing audience.
“This is your fate Zeke Inferno. How long can the inferno in your soul burn away before it consumes all that is you? How long before the fire runs its course and naturally puts itself out? How long will it be until you realize it isn’t fire, but the ability to control its force that should be desired? Can you honestly say that you control the burning rage within you?”
Dan puts a finger up to his glasses, pulling them down to expose his eyes. With a slight chuckle in his voice, he continues.
“I sincerely doubt it. How can I take you seriously when the only marketable talent you have shown so far is fighting a starving vagabond? I bet that makes you feel like a real man, beating up a poor soul that is starving and living in his own filth. You disgust me.”
The comical tone now lost from his voice, Dan begins to express the anger which is slowly building within him.
“So you are the painkiller. Hmph. How can you take away the pain of others when your own soul is infected? Has your pain taught you nothing? Looking upon you I see nothing but potential lost. You are so intent on making a flashy message that you forgot to add anything of true value. You must forgive me if I am getting the wrong idea but you have left me with nothing more than victimization and a catchy song to judge you by. So far, I must say I’m not impressed with you. I dare you to bring your trial by fire to me at Reckless Abandon. What can you show me that my eyes have not already seen? Let me take you back a few years. UWW’s Riot 2005.”
The background shifts to display a warehouse set to burn, doused in lighting chemicals at the baseboards. The stage is set for one of the greatest and deadliest struggles in Eliminator’s history.
“It was the Burning Warehouse match. A fool by the name of Bodycount believed the flames would consume me. He believed that he could utilize its great power to put an end to me once and for all. Just like you, he had too much faith in the power of fire. He failed. Two men walked into the building that night, but it was I who walked out. I left him in the building, letting the flames he created with his hatred destroy him from within. He escaped with his life on that night, but he was never the same. He rose from the ashes like a phoenix, but unfortunately for you I don’t foresee you being that lucky. Unlike Bodycount, you don’t have the luxury of a near death experience when you step into the ring with me. I won’t kill you. I won’t even injure you. I’m going to beat you. There is no other way to say it. Three men will walk in to wage war for the enjoyment of others, gladiators of the squared circle. One man will walk out the victor. I know it won’t be you. You lack the control. You, a man that prides himself on his ability to think irrationally in the ring, should know your rage will be the death of you. Where you act on instinct, I act with intelligence. Where you flail your arms blindly, I time my precise strikes. You are but a beast, forsaking all logic in favor of unbridled power, a power which you know you can not hope to control! I am the master of my own reality, and because of that, I will always prevail over someone who has sacrificed everything to an idol. Enjoy your delusional inferno while you can, because at Reckless Abandon it will be put out once and for all!”
The intensity of Dan’s words is only overshadowed by the bright red that flashes against the screen behind him.
“Omega Storm. For a man from Canada you sure have a Russian name. Perhaps that just has something to do with Omega red… Either way I have to honestly say I don’t know much about you. I looked for some recent footage of your wrestling but to be honest I haven’t found anything, which leads me to believe you haven’t done anything of real significance. I did see one thing of interest. You did manage to obtain tag team gold in your past with one that goes by the name of Reck Maverick. I sincerely hope you carried that tag team because if you are anything like Mr. Maverick, then I have to believe my victory will almost hollow. Can I really take pleasure in a victory with no real competition? I sincerely hope you have something up your sleeve because if you come at me with the same level of intensity as our pyromaniac friend without any forethought, then you are destined to failure as well. You see, I want someone to actually challenge me in my first match. Come on now. You don’t want to get beat by a man that hasn’t had a real match in little over a year do you? I’ll wait for you to come forward before making a bigger assumption of your ability. Needless to say, I’ll be watching you over the next few days. Please, my dear dear friend, show me something good. I’d hate to be disappointed.”
The background changes once again, only this time to a pure gold display.
“Ah gold… a color I am all too familiar with. I have won over eight World Championships over the span of my relatively short career. It appears as though I’ll have the opportunity to add yet another one to my already impressive list. Just in case anyone didn’t already know, my match at Reckless Abandon is for a contendership spot in the soon to be united Television title. I must say, I am a bit impressed with my reputation. Being given a shot at a number one contendership on my very first night… It’s enough to give anyone the drive to succeed. I must say, it has been awhile since I thought about gold around my waist. It would be nice to have a title again, though do I really deserve it so soon? Granted I’ve highlighted sell out arenas across the country, but in my first match back? Certainly the owners know what they are doing… Regardless of whether or not I deserve it on my debut match, I will no doubt take full advantage and walk out having a shot at being the number one contender.”
The background shifts once again, this time to a shadowy background, light tracing the darkness every now and then.
“Darkness engulfs all, but can be destroyed with but a small amount of light. Shadow, you better hope Splinter destroys you before I get the chance. It’s been awhile since we were in the same federation. Unfortunately, we never had the opportunity to face each other. It would have been a contest of greatness. Our paths have yet to cross, but that does not mean we are fated to walk separate paths forever. It seems we may have the opportunity after all, if you can overcome the seemingly insurmountable odds facing you. I pray you do pull out a victory so we can see just who is the better man. Can your darkness overcome my inner light? Can you suppress my imposing will? Perhaps you will give me more of a challenge than these arrogant fools who cant see past their own noses to realize how futile their efforts will be. Come, Shadow, give me the challenge I so desperately want. I promise that I’ll make it a match you’ll never forget.”
The background drops to a blue screen now, obviously noting the absence of any kind of special effect for this part of his speech.
“It’s time to drop the early Halloween act. I want the last two people I am going to address to take me as seriously as possible. Flap Flanagan, King Cobra, I want you two to watch my match very closely. I want you to see what the winner will be in for once our journeys collide. One of you will triumph at Reckless Abandon. Enjoy your success while you can because it won’t be long before I take your pleasure and turn it into your pain. Take the time to grow content with your championship gold. Embrace it as you sleep. Have it with you every moment you can. Take pictures with it if you desire. While you bask in the glow of victory I shall be watching from the shadows, waiting for my opportunity to strike. I will feel great joy in taking it all away from you. Bring everything you got to stop me. The challenge will make the victory all the sweeter.”
The camera zooms in on Dan’s face, the intensity in his eyes matching the inferno that was visible earlier in an almost magical display.
“I will not look past anyone. My goal is to stop anyone and everyone that stands in my way, week after week after week. In order to complete the journey, one must not keep his eyes focused only on the goal, but on taking each step as if it may be his last. Before I can look focus on the obstacles ahead of me, I must focus on the obstacles in front of me. This means that you Omega Storm, and you Zeke Inferno, are going to feel the wrath and intensity of the Unstoppable Dan Harvey in its purest form! It’s do or die time gentleman, and I have only one thing left to say…
Get Ready To Be Eliminated!!!!!”
And with that, the camera fades to black. Can the unstoppable one prove his dominance once again in the squared circle? Will his first match be a foreshadowing of the glory that is to come? All these questions and more will be answered at Reckless Abandon! Pre Order your DVD now!
