When we last left Lestat, he was double teamed by Fire and Leyna. Fire tried many times to apologize for not being at ringside, but Lestat wouldn’t have any of it. Deciding she needed some reinforcements, she called upon Leyna to help her out. Together they cooked dinner for Lestat and now sit around his large solid oak table. Fire looks across the table to Leyna, and smiles.
“I’m glad you came. I’m afraid he may slip further into darkness. He has forgiven Rose, but he hardly speaks to her. I know she loves him more then anything, but I don’t know if he loves her anymore.” says Fire.
“You’re welcome. I don’t know how he feels about her either, but I do know if you keep pushing it he will refuse. My advice is not to even bring it up around him. If he wants to talk about it he’ll tell us.” Leyna says with a smile on her face.
“Talk about what?” Lestat asks as he stands in the doorway, now dressed in a pair of tan shorts and a blue tank-top.
Fire and Leyna both quickly look to him, shocked at his pressence. Lestat smiles to both of them and walks in, taking a seat at the head of the table. He looks at the plate that sits in front of him. The dish is covered with a large steak, mashed potatoes, corn, and two rolls. Smiling, he looks up to Fire and Leyna.
“Thanks. This looks really good. Who cooked?” Lestat asks.
“We both did.” answers Fire.
“Good job both of you. I’m certain this will be quite the lovely meal.” Lestat says with a smile on his face.
Later that day they all sit in the living room looking at old photos of Fire. She had gone home and got them in the hopes of getting a few laughs out of them from Lestat and Leyna. He looks down at a picture with intense curiosity.
“Who is this?” he asks as he points to a young man somewhat younger then Fire.
Fire looks over at the picture and smiles.
“Someone who I regret leaving back home.” she says, still smiling thinking of the boy.
“That didn’t really answer the question. Who is he?” Leyna asks as she looks over Lestat’s shoulder at the photo.
Fire takes a deep breath and sighs.
“Fine, you two want to know so bad I’ll tell you. That is my brother James.” she replies.
“You have a brother!?” They both ask at the same time.
Fire nods.
“Yes, but enough about that. You’ve got to think about Pickles and Bubba.” she says as she looks to Lestat.
“Why? He’s an old bat and Bubba is a dumb muscle-bound oaf. What threat could they really be to me?” Lestat asks.
“Because, Nick Pickles always, and I mean always, has something up his sleeve. He has more money then me, you, and Showtime combined.” Fire states.
Lestat shakes his head in disbelief.
“How did he get so much money?” Lestat asks.
“How should I know? It doesn’t really matter. Just be ready for ANYTHING.” she says, hoping Lestat is listening for a change.
“Hmm, I guess you’re right. I’ll ready myself for anything.” Lestat says.
“Perhaps, we should watch and see if he has cut a promo.” Leyna says.
Lestat and Fire nod. Turning on the television, they watch a showing of Pickles promo.
“What? He seems to think that the tag belts are nothing? He shouldn’t even be in the match then.” Lestat rants. “Furthermore, just because he holds many old belts don’t mean a thing. If it did then we should pay more attention to Shadow. How many belts does that loser hold? More then anyone of his true skill should. So titles that he doesn’t currently hold mean squat.”
Fire looks to Lestat, saying nothing as the scene fades to black once more.
