September 15th 2007 New Television Champion (Cobra Scene)
I woke up this morning feeling a little headache from last night’s match. Of course there was a little ring rust during the match. Then again who doesn’t get a little rusty from being out several months? Honestly I didn’t I’d come out with the victory the way those two handled themselves in that match. I may have shocked Lestat and I probably surprised Splinter. I want to personally thank those two for giving me a good return match and I also want to lend them my respects because they’ve earned it.
~~Cobra was indeed stunned that he pulled out the victory in that triple threat match. His injury didn’t pose a major problem to his in ring ability. He just figured that it was just paranoia kicking in. He was sitting at the edge of his bed staring down at the gold. ~~
Well I can say one thing. This makes five championship reigns in my career. No, I’m not getting cocky but I’m just rubbing it in to two guys who claim they’re the best in the business, Night and Daye. My brother defeated Bubba which was pretty cool to see to be honest. Night on the other hand lost to Reck Maverick. Oh well, after giving a little chuckle I stood up from my bed and draped the championship belt over my shoulder. Out of nowhere my thoughts were speaking out loud. I ended up talking to myself.
“Well you did it Ron. Not only did you over come your fears but you’ve captured the Television championship on your first match back. God it’s good to be back in the ring. I missed the adrenaline rush, the roar of the crowd, and for some odd reason the ringing of the bell. Not only is wrestling a job of mine, but it’s a dream. It’s a dream that became reality. The minute I broke away from Night and Daye back in the old days; I told those two I was going to climb the ladder until I got to the big prize. This makes it one step closer.”
I walked over to my window to see if those two knuckle heads were coming but I saw no sign of them. I’m actually glad they’re not hear right now. I’m pretty worn out and beat. Wrestling with Splinter and Lestat wasn’t as easy thing to do. I told everyone I was going to make an impact. I told those two not to underestimate me. I may have been out of shape but I haven’t lost my touch.
After staring out the window for a little bit, I walked back into my bedroom. I looked up at the wall to see where I placed my previously won titles. I took the Television championship off my shoulder and placed it on the mantle. I read as the name plate read ‘King Cobra’ imbedded in gold. Then, not to my surprise, I heard the doorbell followed by the three knocks. In walk Joe and Jay.

September 15th 2007 The Set Up (Cobra and Joe Scene)
Today we recognize the ‘People’s King’. This is your day of celebration.
No, it’s my day to rest. Come one Jay, I haven’t even been champ for twenty four hours and you already want to throw a party?
Well…yes.
Okay Jay, why don’t you go play with those magnet letters you love so much? I’ve got to talk with Cobra for a minute.
Oooo…I love those little letters. I will be back fellows.
~~Jay walked into the kitchen like a little child would. There were a few letters stuck to the refrigerator. He began playing with them. Joe and Cobra looked on with laughter written all over their foreheads. Joe took Cobra into the other room where Jay couldn’t hear them. ~~
Now that you’re champion, a lot of the people want to hear a speech from you. I told them I’d talk to you about it and I didn’t let Jay know because we all know that he would’ve jumped the gun for you.
Yea that’s cool. Thanks for coming to me about it.
No problem. I just thought that you might be banged up still. Anyway there are a bunch of kids who are huge fans of yours at a local recreation center. They got notice that you won the championship and were dieing to hear from you.
I thought for a minute to myself. I’m starting to get my life back. My return brought more than just my mat skills back. They also brought back the fans. I’m glad I made this move but then again I’m still very cautious about what I do in the ring. So I answered him.
Sure man, I’m up to it. You just have to let me know what time.
Well I told them all I’d get back with them on that one.
Alright that’s fine. Honestly, and as much as I hate to put it off today, I just want to rest for the day. Tomorrow would be fine though. I’d say in between noon or one o’clock if you don’t mind.
Yea sure, I’ll get back with the owner of the recreation right away.
Oh and don’t let Jay know. We might as well surprise the little guy too.
Ha, sure thing man.

September 15th 2007 Playing With Letters (Jay Scene)
Now those two are obviously planning something they don’t want me to know. They think I’m that stupid. I actually would rather play with these letters. Let’s see what we have here.
I looked at the letters on the refrigerator. They were scrambled in this order.
~~Cobra was still in the other room with Joe. Jay knew they wouldn’t tell him anything but it didn’t bother him as much. The orders of the scrambled letters were O-S-U-J-E-X. After looking at them carefully, he put the letters in order to make a message. ~~
There we go. That should do it. Those two will be so proud that I left this heart felt message to my brother. Hey GUYS!
I yelled for the both of those two to come and read what I made out of the magnet letters. Cobra walked over first. Joe was shaking his head back and forth. Cobra got a good laugh at it. Joe on the other hand didn’t take it as a joke and slapped me upside the head.

September 15th 2007 Thoughts (Cobra Scene, After Jay and Joe Leave)
Why’d you hit me?
Let’s see you idiot. You spelt J-O-E S-U-X on the damn refrigerator!
What!?! It’s true. You do suck.
Guys, guys! Calm down now. Let me get some rest here.
Sorry man.
Yea sorry, we’ve got to get going anyway. Come on Jay. When are you going to grow up?
When are you going to lighten up?
They were arguing on their way out the door. They didn’t notice that I had opened the door for them. Those two can be a hassle but it’s all good. I shut the door then turned around. I figured I should take a shower. I’m not doing too well odor wise since last night.
I walked into my bedroom to get a pair of boxers along with a pair of basketball shorts. I walked out of my room then to the closet in the hallway to grab a towel. Finally I made my way to the bathroom and got into the shower. It was peaceful and quiet. All I heard was the sound of running water which didn’t bother me at all. As the water smacked against the back of my head and down my back I began to think.
“I don’t know if I’m over the past exactly. I’m not feeling any guilt or any regret from getting back in the ring. I thought more about my future now that I’m the Television champion. I wonder if I can make this reign as long as my No F’N Rulz title reign or if it’ll be as short and my Super X reign. I’ve worked hard and battled a lot to get where I am today. In my own opinion I deserved this shot, I succeeded after getting the opportunity.”
I turned my body and looked up into the shower head so the water would splash my face. I took both of my hands to my face to wipe the water out of my eyes. Then I grabbed the bar of soap and brushed it throughout my body to get the odor off.
“I wonder what Power on Wrestling has in store for me. You know I told Joe that I’m still very cautious about climbing back in the ring due to the neck injury. You know speaking of the injury I’m actually glad Splinter or Lestat didn’t capitalize on it. If they had done that then I probably wouldn’t be here right now. Anyway I wasn’t one hundred percent cleared to wrestle in the match but I ignored that fact. By now I would have thought about regretting it but seeing that I came out on top, I’m kind of joyful it happened.”
I shut the water off. I wrapped a towel around my body after climbing out of the bath tub. I was cooled off and the stench was gone. I looked in the mirror then combed my fingers through my hair. After drying off, I slipped my boxers and shorts on. I proceeded out the door into the living room where my thoughts began again.
“I had a little run in with Daye before the show. I wasn’t too thrilled about but shocked that he didn’t want to start a fight. Usually whenever I see them it’s always got to end in some sort of fight or argument. He’s brother but the problem is I don’t think I can trust him anymore. It’s not even an important factor right now. I’ve got to figure out what my next match is so I can prepare.”
I walked over to the desktop then turned it on. I walked into the kitchen to grab a small snack. I opened up a moon pie. By the time I finished eating it my computer was already loaded up. I went on the Power on Wrestling web page to find out what was happening.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
September 15th 2007 Unification Match (Cobra Scene)
I scrolled through the web page. I found the advertisement I was looking for. Power on Wrestling presents: Reckless Abandon September 21st 2007. I clicked the link that followed which showed the event’s card. I was surprised as it was basically a night of champions. Not only that but it was to unify the championships from Midwest and Northeast. I scrolled down to find that my match was the unification match of the Television championship with the Open Weight championship.
“Oh wow, my second match back in P.O.W. and it’s another title match. If in fact I win this match then there will be no more Open Weight championship. My opponent if Flap Flanagan, current Open Weight champion, for Northeast.”
I heard this guy’s been on some sort of winning streak. Thinking about the past again I realized that I once was on a winning streak. In my own opinion though, I don’t think streaks are worth anything. I mean yes you’ll climb the ladder faster but it’s not whether you can win or lose a match. It’s how well you perform that’ll send you to the top.
I got off the computer for a minute to walk outside. I haven’t been outside in a couple of days so I wanted to get some fresh air. The weather wasn’t too hot but not too cold. There were no rain clouds or signs of a storm. It’s just the nice breeze shooting against my face as I stepped outside. I leaned against my front door for a minute.
Flap, I watched your match in the locker room area last night. I wanted to congratulate you first hand on the victory. I haven’t been around too much to know what your exact streak is but I hate to say that I might just be the one to end it.
I walked back in really fast to rush to my room. I took my Television title off the mantle and draped it over my shoulder again. I walked back out on my front porch. At Reckless Abandon it will be about this belt right here and that belt you were waving over your head Flap. Now I’m going to tell you what I tell everyone and that is I will show you the respect in the ring until you show some disrespect toward me. I don’t like you but then again I don’t hate you. I just don’t know you very well to judge you.
I took a scroll around my house. I had a hammock set up between the trees that I haven’t laid on in a long time. I decided since it was a nice day out, why not bother with it. So I jumped into the hammock with my belt lying across my abdomen. I continued talking about Flap.
I don’t underestimate my opponents and I don’t talk down my opponents. I’m asking you not to underestimate me as well or you’ll end up like Lestat, walking out of the arena without your title. Too many people run around the business like they own it. I walk around with that passion to become to the best. I bust my butt to please the fans and I must say I’m doing a dang good job of it. To me, wrestling is all about living dreams and owning up to your talents. It’s about the millions and millions of fans watching all over the world; paying so they can see their hero. I’m not saying that I’m the hero; I’m talking for all superstars in general.
I began swinging the hammock back and forth. It was so comfortable that I had almost fallen asleep. Instead of falling asleep though it put me in a train of thought.
“I hear Flap is a good champion and it’s an honor stepping into the ring with such talent. It’s not every match that I’m fighting a champion so it’ll be a challenge to face someone on the same level as myself.”
I didn’t want to talk too much about the match because I didn’t want to end up sounding over confident or cocky. This match worries me a little though seeing that he’s been on a hot streak. I’m not totally sure I can beat me but I’m not one hundred percent sure I can’t beat him.
I got off the hammock to walk back inside. After getting inside, I placed my championship belt on the table. I turned on the television just in time to see Flap Flanagan talking about our match.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
September 15th 2007 What a Coincidence (Cobra Scene)
As funny as it sounds I turned the television on at the right moment. I immediately sat on the couch to focus on what Flap had to say. It wasn’t too long but it was enough to know a little about Flap.
King Mongoose? Please tell me that that wasn’t a slap in the face. If it was then you’ll regret saying that Flap because this is one Cobra not even a mongoose can take out. I also noticed that you’ve discovered you have a sister that needs your help.
~~After hearing about that Cobra noticed that Flap isn’t focused all too well on the match at stake. He completely understands where Flap is coming from though and respects him for his decision on finding her. The whole mongoose comment didn’t settle to well with him but he just brushed it off of his shoulder the minute after he heard it. ~~
I noticed you said that blood was thicker than Cobra’s blood. I hope that wasn’t a sign that you were going to try and bust me open in our match. I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve and everyone saw them last night when I became the new Television champion.
Flap Flanagan, I’m not going to tell you to not look for your sister. I’m not telling you drop out of the match due to the circumstance. I just want to be in the ring with a champion that is focused. I know it’s hard to focus while there is a missing sibling. So before I go to bed, I wanted to say good luck in finding your sister Flap; hope all is well before the big event. I want to fight a champion that is focused, not a champion that is thrown off by the disappearance of his sister.
