Backstage we find Jason Coughlin standing with Greg Kilgreen. Coughlin has a grin from ear to ear and seems to be bouncing in a joyous fashion. He is already in his new attire and appearing to be ready to go in his next match on the upcoming, Road to No Fear show.
Greg: Jason Coughlin, last week you said you were going to make an impact upon your return, and you did....
Jason: .....on Cobra's skull....
Greg: Quite. But in doing so you beat a former TV champion and the current Valor champion. Quite a feat for your first match back. This week you have yet another triple threat match against Dan Savage and Lucha Wecha.
Jason: Isn't it just easier to say Dan Number Fourteen and some Mexican guy?
Greg: Actually no those would be more words.
Coughlin stops to pretend to think, he scratches his head. He then points to Kilgreen.
Jason: Touche. Well I don't know about either of these guys to be honest. Last week Savage beat Hellfire in a tag match, and was that LuchaSmoocha guy even on the show? I don't think so. I, on the other hand, beat as you said a former champion and a current one. That's something to brag about. Sure Ci running off may have given me the match, sure there will be doubt from everyone that it was a fluke and I shouldn't have won....but I did. And in the end that's all that matters. I said I was coming back to make an impact, and I did just that.
Several impacts actually. One, not losing to the most dominant Valor champion we have, Big Ci. Two, the previously mentioned impact on the domepiece of King Cobra. And three, winning my first match back, picking up right where I left off. I was screwed out of the original Valor title shot I was aiming for due to Capaci's horrendous booking and Morrison's attack at First Rights that put me out for months. Now I just have to beat a couple of nobodies? After last week this match should be a breeze for me. In fact it will be. I guarentee I will not lose this match. And I will get that Valor title shot that I have coming to me. Then it's just a quick three count after some Ny-quil to become the Valor champion. Sounds like a great plan huh?
Greg: I guess so.
Jason: Yeah I thought so myself. So maybe this weeks triple threat...which I really need to not have any more of soon.....I will give hand out some Ny-quil or maybe a couple Coughdrops and it will be just what the doctor ordered. All the time, all the pain, all the rehab has led me back to POW to become a top star. Now without Kailus Holmes, Flying Diamond Cutter Man, Shawn Stevens, Rich Morrison, and most of all Tito Capaci holding me back....I will continue making impacts until I hold the Valor or maybe even World Championship.
Greg: Alright, thanks. High sights for Jason Coughlin. We'll see the results this week when he faces Lucha Wecha and Dan Savage in a triple threat.
Coughlin grins then walks off as it fades.
