The scene opens in the packed POW arena with the sound of "I Don't Wanna Be" and loud cheering to meet the ears as Josh Eagles stands on the ramp with his POW Tag Team Championship held high above his head. Josh is looking down the ramp towards the ring where not one, but three ladders are set up as a representation to the World Title Match at No Fear. Josh rolls his shoulders and lets the wave of cheers take him over before he begins to make his way down the ramp towards the ring.
Josh slaps hands with a couple fans on the way, but his eyes are on the ring and the ladders and what they mean in just a couple days, Josh's face reads nothing but serious. He reaches the ring and just stands looking at the ladders on the outside of the ring, like he is almost scared to enter the ring where the ladders stand, but eventually he throws his title onto the apron and rolls under the bottom rope and into the ring.
Josh stares at the ladder's once again mulling it all over in his mind and begins to walk around them staring up to the sky as if all three Heavyweight Belts were already hanging there and Reck Maverick would be coming down the ramp so they could start what will probably be the most memorable match in the history of the POW. Then Josh gets a big smile on his face and standing at one end, ducks down and walks right under all three ladders and emerges on the other end with his hand raised and the crowd cheering. Josh signals to have a mic brought to him.
Josh Eagles: I wish that just one person, just one person in this arena could understand how it feels to be standing here right now, how AMAZING it is to be on the brink of one of the most unique and interesting matches in not only the history of the POW, but the history of wrestling. I get to be part of that history and I get to share it with each and every fan of the POW around the world and right here in this arena.
The crowd again begins to go wild and chants for "Eagles" explode through the entire arena and Josh waits for them all to die down.
Josh Eagles: No Fear! That is a suiting name for this upcoming DVD Taping because in a match like this that is what both Reck Maverick and I or going to have to have, NO FEAR. Bodies are going to be broken, blood is going to be shed, and injuries will be had. After this match neither Reck Maverick or myself will ever be the same and that will not stop either of us from giving it 110% out here will not stop either of us from giving it all to be th UNDISPUTED POW WORLD CHAMPION!
This time the crowd breaks into cheers of "Eagles and Maverick" almost 50/50 but it could be said it sways more to 40/60 for Reck Maverick.
Josh Eagles: Before I go any further I want to explain to you how this match is going to work. The POW New England, the POW Midwest, and the POW World Heavyweight Titles are all going to be suspended high above this ring, with only ONE being in reach at any given time. After one is pulled down the next will be lowered and the first person to pull TWO out of the three belts down will be declared the POW World Heavyweight Champion.
We have all seen ladder matches in the past, how brutal, how intense they are and now you may have the chance to see three in one night. This has never been done in the history of wrestling ... this match is brutal and this match will not be for the faint of heart, this match is the perfect ending the the saga between Josh Eagles and Reck Maverick, the feud that has torn the POW apart for months now.
Again the split cheering starts up in the arena and Josh just smiles and listens loving every second of it.
Josh Eagles: Now Reck Maverick is the man I want to talk to right now, the man I want to talk about. Reck Maverick the current POW Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion, the man who overcame the odds and beat both John Anthony and myself to earn that belt, the man who has done nothing but say I am a liar and I am worthless for the last few months. Maverick I respect your opinion and I have done nothing but try to prove that to you, try to make up for the past.
Well all I can say to you is this Reck ... I am done. After our last match, when you won the title I knew it, I felt it, that I was not wrestling you like I should have, I was too busy trying to prove something to you. What has that gotten me? It has lost me a wife, has made my friend turn on me, and it seems for the last three months it has left me beaten down by people continually assaulting me and NOBODY coming to my aid!!
I have lost FAMILY, I have lost FRIENDS, and for one brief and shining moment I was even the POW World Champion and I don't have that anymore either. None of that is YOUR fault Reck, it's true my own actions caused most of it to happen, but I am tired of trying to prove anything to you, I am tired of you showing me disrespect and all I have to say now is that I have went through it all ... I have TAKEN the abuse, made the sacrifices and proven myself to EVERYONE ELSE and I still stand here the same man I said I was and these fans support me all the way NO MATTER WHAT!!!
This time nothing but "Eagles" chants rip through the arena as Josh runs around the ring getting them pumped up.
Josh Eagles: So you can do whatever you want Reck, say whatever you like about me because the voice of these POW fans is all that matters now, the only people that matter, the ONLY ones who have stood by me and come No Fear we are going to rumble and only one of us will be leaving as the POW World Champion, that is whoever is willing to sacrifice more. I have nothing left to lose and everything to gain ... you Reck, you have it all to lose!
This body it doesn't matter to me, I will do whatever I can to it to make sure I leave you down and out long enough to grab those titles, not one but TWO ... nothing will make me happier nothing will make it feel more rewarding then FINALLY, FINALLY making it to the top of the Wrestling world and with nobody being able to claim that it was HANDED to me, that I didn't EARN it. This time Reck I will EARN it, I will do what you wanted me to do, what you taught me to do and I will take it to the limit and leave it all in the ring and NOTHING behind!
Now don't get me wrong before the hating starts. I respect Reck and I know that no matter what is going on in his mind backstage he is going to take me to the absolute extremes and he is going to then take me farther. This will be the biggest match of my career and there is no doubt in my mind that it could be my last. Not that I am retiring but that is the risk you run, that is what happens when you step into an event like this, you run the risk of losing everything.
A little history lesson for you all. This is not the first time Reck and I have fought for it all in a ladder match. Do you remember Reck, early on in our career ... fighting for what was called nothing more then a second right title in a second rate company and yet YOU put that belt on the line against me in a ladder match. A match that lasted for one hour and twenty seven minutes a match so brutal it stole the show. That night we both took each other to the limits and in the end, I just barely managed to escape with the win ... that was the biggest moment of my career.
Now we have to do that THREE TIMES!!! There is no time limit here, it goes until one of us is proven to be the best and well let's be honest ladder's do kinda favor me just a little bit. There ladders represent all our success, everything we have worked for in our entire careers and for once, for once during all this battling we have had this match is about you and me. Not Flap Flanagan, not my wife, or my personal life, or your personal life, or Jayde, or even in someways the championship ... this one is about you and me.
For months now we have fought and when it was all on the line you have come out on top but before this it was always me who came out on top when the big one was on the line. The way I see it Reck we are about even and this is our big chance to finish the score, to settle things like men and that is what I want. Two great athletes coming to this ring and finishing it like it has to be finished, putting body and soul on the line for just the thrill of competition ... nothing else matters this time ... just you and me!
The crowd's split chants begin to form again, but this time there is more "Eagles" then "Maverick" and it seems like opinions are swaying back and forth over and over again.
Josh Eagles: Reck you are like the Hulk Hogan of the POW ... fan favorite, accomplished, everyone loves you people have troubles beating you and I am like the Rock! I know you remember that epic battle, the back and forth, the see saw effect ... but when the smoke cleared and everything was said and done, the torch was passed to The Rock and that is what is going to happen at No Fear, the torch is going to pass from you and onto me.
I think you can agree with me when I say this will be the most important and biggest match in either of our careers and neither of us want to lose it. But who is willing to go farther, the man who has everything to lose or the man who has nothing to lose? Which one of us will be further cemented as legends, which one of us will truly become the best in this buissness? Whoever wins and whatever happens just know that my respect for you stands and that will never change. May the best man win ... TWICE!
"I Don't Wanna Be" begins to play and Josh slowly makes his way up the ladder to sit on top as the crowd cheers and the scene fades out.
Josh slaps hands with a couple fans on the way, but his eyes are on the ring and the ladders and what they mean in just a couple days, Josh's face reads nothing but serious.
