Randy Gordon: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to POW: North East’s DVD Taping, Ocean City Slam!!!
Josh Cline: We have some great matches coming up tonight for you folks. Let’s go!
7-Man Battle Royale
Randy Gordon: Ladies and Gentlemen, first up we’ve got a Battle Royale that David Hunter added to the card late on. All the competitors are in the ring and ready to go. What was planned to be a 7 Man Battle Royal is now a 5-Man due to Captain Ragnorack and Chris Knight being unable to make it tonight!
In the ring are King Cobra, Nightkiller, President Pliskin, Graves and Jason Resurrection!
President Pliskin is the first to start the match before the bell rings as he charges at King Cobra.
Battle Royale
He hits Cobra with a DDT on the mat. He stands up and looks down at Cobra who is completely knocked out on the mat. He shrugs his shoulders as Cobra rolls under the bottom rope.
5-Man Battle Royale
Randy Gordon: Things aren’t looking good for King Cobra here so early on. I think President Pliskin has really done something to his neck.
Graves is fighting with Nightkiller in the corner. He delivers a few punches before propping him up on the top rope and hitting a superplex.
Josh Cline: Abit risky that don’t ya think, Randy?
Randy Gordon: Yeah it wouldn’t have been difficult for Nightkiller to pull Graves over the top rope there!
Josh Cline: King Cobra still looking pretty out of it on the outside…he hasn’t been eliminated by the way. He wasn’t thrown over the top rope!
As Graves stomps on Nightkiller, President Pliskin beats down on Jason Resurrection. Three paramedics come down the ramp with a yellow stretcher. The POW Doctor kneels down next to King Cobra before speaking to the referee on that side of the ring. The referee then speaks to Joe Barlow.
Joe Barlow: Ladies and Gentlemen, King Cobra is unable to continue and has been eliminated.
Randy Gordon: God knows what he’s done to himself…
Josh Cline: I know…it was only a DDT.
As Cobra is wheeled up the ramp on a stretcher, Nightkiller is thrown over the top rope by Graves.
Joe Barlow: Nightkiller has been eliminated.
Randy Gordon: And four became three!
Josh Cline: God! The match has only lasted three minutes. Two didn’t turn up and two have already been eliminated. In three minutes, seven became three…
Graves attacks Pliskin who is stomping on Resurrection. He irish whips him into the ropes and hits a clothesline. Jason Resurrection stands up and pulls Pliskin off the mat. Both men irish whip Pliskin into the ropes and hit a double clothesline. Resurrection then turns to Graves and hits a hard standing clothesline.
Randy Gordon: Oooh! That was a tough clothesline to Graves’ chest!
Graves hits the mat before getting up. He throws a few punches at Resurrection before running off the ropes and hitting a high knee.
Pliskin then gets up and hits Graves with a Death Valley Driver. He goes and crouches down in the corner, waiting for one of the men to get up. The first to get up is Resurrection. He runs at him and hits a spear. Graves gets up and irish whips Pliskin over the top rope. Pliskin stays on the apron and Graves attempts a forearm to his face but Pliskin blocks it and hits a Suplex sending Graves to the outside.
Joe Barlow: Graves has been eliminated!
Pliskin climbs through the ropes and hits another spear on Resurrection who has just stood up. He pulls Resurrection to his feet and hits an STO. Pliskin waits for Resurrection to get up and he goes for a dropkick but Resurrection dodges it. He then hits a dropkick of his own as Pliskin gets up.
Randy Gordon: The dropkick connecting this time.
Pliskin stands up and Resurrection locks in a bearhug. Pliskin seems to fade but suddenly shakes himself and hits an overhead belly to belly Suplex sending Resurrection to the outside!
Joe Barlow: Jason Resurrection has been eliminated, therefore the winner, President Robert Pliskin!!!

Joe Barlow: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the POW Openweight Championship.
The lights dim, and ''Revinventing Your Exit'' by Underoath hits the P.A system the crowd all rush to the barriers holding up posters that have nothing to do with Cory Barnett. Then he appears from the black curtains holding his hands up high, then he looks around the arena, he senses the electricity from the fans and makes his walk to the ring.
Joe Barlow: Making his way to the ring, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing 215 pounds, Cory Barnett!!!
He runs up the steps and then inside the ring, then he looks around the arena again and then holds his hands high in the air as the lights go back to normal.
"Party Like a Rock Star" by Shop Boyz begins to play and the crowd get out of the chairs as "Renegade" Travis Brown enters through the curtain. He beats his chest for a few seconds and then points to the people.
Joe Barlow: And his opponent, from Newark, New Jersey, weighing 249 pounds, he is the POW Openweight Champion, “Renegade” Travis Brown!!!
He then runs to the ring and then slides in under the bottom rope. Travis approaches a turnbuckle, climbs it and then outstretches his arms.
Cory Barnett vs. “Renegade” Travis Brown
~Ding Ding~
Brown walks calmly over to Barnett and hits a quick belly to belly Suplex. Barnett gets straight back up and Brown hits another. He covers Barnett.
1…
Kick Out!
Josh Cline: He didn’t seriously think he’d get a win so early on did he?
Both men get back up and Barnett hits Brown with a missile dropkick. Brown gets back up and Barnett irish whips him into the ropes and as he comes back Barnett hits a spine buster! He covers him.
1…2…
Kick Out!
Barnett picks Brown off the mat and hits a Suplex. He runs off the ropes and hits a splash. He picks Brown up off the mat and hits a facebuster. He covers him.
1…2…
Kick Out!
Randy Gordon: Effective face buster from Barnett there but he isn’t gonna defeat the Openweight Champion that easily.
Both men get up and Barnett hits a dropkick. Brown gets to one knee and Barnett hits a knee to the face of Brown. He covers him.
1…2…
Kick Out!
Randy Gordon: Yet another pin attempt! He ain’t gonna win so early on against a talent like Travis Brown.
Brown gets up and Barnett hits a neckbreaker. He goes up to the top rope and waits for Brown to get up before jumping and hitting a hurricanrana. Barnett pulls Brown up off the mat and irish whips him into the corner before hitting a clothesline, knocking Brown down. Brown is now sat in the corner. Barnett walks over to the other corner and runs at Brown, before hitting a bronco buster. Barnett gets up and drags Brown by his foot into the centre of the ring. Barnett hits splash before climbing to the top rope. He hits a high impact five star frog splash.
Randy Gordon: What a frog splash by the challenger. This could be it for Brown!
Josh Cline: Oh no! Get up, Travis!
Barnett covers Brown.
1…2…3
Joe Barlow: Here is your winner and NEW Openweight Champion, Cory Barnett!!!
Barnett is handed the title by the referee as he raises his arm in victory. Barnett leaves the ring and walks up the ramp, leaving through the curtain.
The scene cuts to the backstage area.

Cash: (whispers) Ladies and Gentlemen, I do believe that I am stood outside Mick Cormac’s locker room where he is inside with POW: NE General Manager, Tony Hunter.
Cormac: …and tonight I will show you, Hunter. You are a disgrace to the territory and tonight I will dispose of you when I defeat your son in the middle of that ring. You don’t deserve to be given the title, General Manager…or Head Booker. And when I defeat your son, we’ll temporarily be without a General Manager but that’s better than having you at the helm, you piece of shit! You just wait! I will show you that North East doesn’t need you or your prick of a son!
Cash: Some strong words from the Irish Brawler. We better get back to you, Randy before he finds out we’re listening in!

Randy Gordon: Thanks for that, Lee! Next we’ve got the POW Eastern Tag Team Championships on the line. The Stoned Raiders were convinced they deserved a tag title shot, so Tony Hunter granted it to them. Let’s see if they can get the win here tonight as they challenge The Final Cut!
Joe Barlow stands in the middle of the ring, microphone in hand.
Joe: “Ladies and gentlemen your next match is scheduled for one fall and is for the Eastern Tag Team Championship Titles! Introducing first, the challengers, weighing in at a combined weight of 380 pounds and fighting out of Columbus, Ohio, they are Blake Ryder and Rex Vinkle… the Stoned Raiders!”
“Roll ‘Em Up” by Vanilla Ice hits the speaker systems and the crowd pops for the challengers. Stoned Raiders walk out to their music. Blake Ryder looks around and makes a "smoking" taunt while Rex Vinkle raises up his hand like something important is happening. They slowly walk down the aisle, taking their time. They finally step into the ring, and lean on the ropes.
Joe: “And now, your defending POW: Northeast Eastern Tag Team Champions, at a combined weight of 582 pounds, fighting out of New York City, New York, introducing Night and Daye… the Final Cut!”
**Are You Ready For Your Close Up's....BITCHES**
Lights, Camera, Action comes on the speakers as the lights go out a few lights of blue and orange are panning over the entranceway as a hooded Night and Daye both walk out Daye walks ahead and kneels down as Night turns around behind him. Night puts his hands in the air and the two lift their hoods at the same time as the lights comes on. They both walk down to the ring taunting fans along the way with their signature "close up" taunt. They get into the ring and get loose before the match.
Night and Daye both pat the golden belts thrown over their shoulders and get in the faces of Rex and Blake, taunting them and mouthing off.
Referee George Chip asks Night and Daye to hand the belts over to him, and they do so. George holds the titles high as the crowd cheers.
Randy Gordon: “This is a match I’ve been anticipating Josh. The Final Cut came storming into POW: Northeast and grabbed the titles with little effort. Now we’ll have a chance to see if they can defend them against these upstarts.”
Josh Cline: “It shouldn’t be too difficult for them. Despite the 200 pound weight advantage, the Stoned Raiders are probably floating on Cloud Nine already. I’m expecting a botch fest out of the two.”
Randy Gordon: “Well we’ll be finding out soon enough. Let’s get this match underway!”
POW Eastern Tag Team Championship Match The Final Cut © vs. The Stoned Raiders
Daye jumps around inside the ring as Night steps outside to the turnbuckle. Daye taunts both of the challengers as they decide on who will start off. Blake ultimately wins the decision and Rex takes to the outside. George Chip asks the two competitors if they’re ready, and then signals for the bell to ring.
Daye slowly approaches Blake who stands in a defensive posture. Right as he is almost in striking distance, Blake swings his leg around in a roundhouse kick that hits only air. Daye bounces back and shakes his shoulders, acting as if he isn’t done loosening up yet. Blake puts his fingers up to his mouth and acts as if he’s taking a drag off of an invisible joint, and the crowd laughs at his disrespect for the champions. Daye looks absolutely pissed and rushes forward with a clothesline that drops Blake down to the mat. Blake Ryder hops back up, but Daye had bounced off the ropes and connects with a bulldog. Daye goes straight to the turnbuckle and hops up onto the top of it, waiting. Blake stands up and turns to face Daye, only to have him launch off and deliver a flying cross body. Daye hooks the leg as the lands across his opponent.
1….
2…
Kick out by Blake. Daye applies a chin lock to the downed challenger as the crowd boos.
Randy Gordon: “That match almost ended before it even began. Daye definitely getting off to a quick, controlling start after that show of disrespect by Blake.”
Josh Cline: “And now the chin lock will suck out the little bit of oxygen Blake’s poor lungs are actually capable of holding.”
Rex stands on the bottom rope and begins clapping, trying to get the crowd involved. Eventually they join in, clapping in support for Blake as he begins shaking a fist. Daye grips tight on the submission hold, but Blake manages to break out and jump to his feet. He delivers a kick to the midsection of Daye and then whips him into an unoccupied turnbuckle. Blake charges towards him and connects with an elbow to the face. In a seamless motion he then locks up with him, drops to his back, and monkey flips the larger man into the center of the ring. Blake jumps up and pumps up the crowd before tagging in Rex Vinkle.
Rex comes in and begins kicking the legs of the downed Daye as he rolls around in the ring. It almost seems as if Rex is merely toying with the champion as he continues his barrage of kicks. However a few seconds later he is met with a huge big boot by Night who decided to interrupt Rex’s fun. George Chip ordered Night back out of the ring, and he obliged. Daye wasted no time tagging the big man back in though, and the two walked over towards Rex. Daye lifts Rex up off the mat and whips him into the turnbuckle. He then rushes forward and delivers a running splash into the corner before grabbing Rex’s shoulder and Irish whipping him towards the center of the ring. Night is standing there prepared and connects with another huge big boot that causes Rex to literally flip in midair before crashing down on the mat. Daye exits the ring as Night drops down for the cover.
1…
2…
Barely kicked out by Rex. Night shrugs his shoulders as he pulls the dazed man up to his feet only to drop him back down on the mat with a suplex. The near seven foot man then grabs Rex’s legs, twisting them into a Texas Cloverleaf position before locking in the move. Rex screams in pain as George Chip falls before him, looking for a tap out.
Josh Cline: “Rex is completely outmatched here. How do you fight out of a submission when the guy on top of you is so huge? Honestly.”
The answer comes in the form of a flying leg drop by Blake off the turnbuckle. Daye rushes into the ring, but Blake catches him with a forearm and then proceeds to deliver a thunderous chop to Daye’s chest. As Daye reels over towards the ropes, Blake runs forward and delivers a clothesline to his back that carries both of them men over the top rope and to the floor. The crowd cheers for the maneuver as Night and Rex stand in the middle of the ring. Rex looks at the bigger man and elbows him in the chest. Night completely no sells the move and stands there staring at him. Rex decides he needs momentum and runs off the ropes then delivers another clubbing elbow to Night’s chest, but to no effect. Rex holds up a finger as if to signal “one more try” and then whips himself off the ropes again. Night lifts his boot to catch Rex with it, but Rex ducks down and chop blocks Night’s other leg. As Night falls, Rex leaps to his feet and raises his arms high before crashing down with both of his elbows into Night’s midsection. He pins the man as George Chip begins the count.
1….
Kick out already by Night.
Randy Gordon: “That’s just scary. All of that offense for a one count?”
Josh Cline: “It’s the equivalent of a small child beating on the leg of an Olympic bodybuilder.”
Randy Gordon: “Now that’s an exaggeration and you know it.”
Rex looks over to his corner to see that Blake had returned and was ready to be tagged in. He runs over and slaps the hand of his partner, and they both approach Night as the big man stands up. They work together to drag Night into the corner and then begin running in a large loop around the ring. They both come crashing towards Night with their elbows to perform the Green Pleasure, but Night catches them both with his hands. He walks towards the center of the ring with a throat in each hand, and manages to connect with a double choke slam on the challengers. The crowd goes crazy with both boos and claps of appreciation for such a move. Night leaps into the air and comes crashing down on both men. Night rolls over towards Rex and hooks the leg, but George Chip doesn’t count. Night jumps up and gets in the face of the referee, questioning him, but George points out that Rex tagged Blake who is now the legal man.
Randy Gordon: “Thanks to a bit of confusion this match is still going!”
Josh Cline: “See? These two guys are probably so doped up that they’ve given Night a contact high! That’s completely immoral and unsportsmanlike.”
Randy Gordon: “…”
Night rolls Rex out of the ring and then lifts Blake off the mat and signals over towards Daye for him to come help out. George Chip tells Daye to stay out of the way, but Daye ignores him and the lock grab on to Blake. They double up for a double power slam before Daye runs towards the turnbuckle and hops on top of it. Night lifts Blake up into a fireman’s carry and turns towards Daye. Things look bleak for the challengers as the Final Cut prepare to unleash the Blockbuster Hit. However before Daye can leap off, Rex appears behind him and shoves him off into Night. With the way they all fall, Night ends up on the bottom of the pile with both Daye and Blake atop him. Blake rolls over to his partner and tags him in. Rex, already on the top turnbuckle, dives forward with a leg drop onto the two downed champions. Rex shoves Daye out of the ring and returns his focus to Night. Trying to come up with an idea on how to finish off the big man, Rex attempts to Irish whip him into the ropes, but Night reverses it. Rex manages to hold on to the ropes and keep himself from bouncing towards the champion.
Night builds up a head of steam and rushes towards Rex who has a look of absolute fear on his face. However, out of pure gut instinct, Rex leaps upwards, plants his hands on the head of an incoming Night, and delivers a W-Factor to the man, only inches away from the ropes. Night’s face slams hard into the mat with a truly explosive thud as the crowd cheers.
Randy Gordon: “I felt that from out here!”
Josh Cline: “I’m surprised Rex’s reflexes kicked in that quick.”
Rex rolls Night over and hooks his leg. George Chip falls down to begin the count.
1….
2….
It looks as though Night is ready to raise a shoulder, but suddenly Blake reaches under the bottom rope and holds down Night’s shoulders! George Chip doesn’t see the interference!
3….!
Blake jerks his hands back and Rex rolls out of the ring to embrace him. Night leaps of the ring and slams his foot down on the ground and begins shaking the ropes. George Chip runs out of the ring towards the announce table and Barlow speaks.
Joe Barlow: “Ladies and gentlemen your winners of the match and NEW Eastern Tag Team Champions, the Stoned Raiders!”
Randy Gordon: “The challengers have downed the champions!”
Josh Cline: “Ok, I’ll give them credit for that one. That’s using your resources to do what needs to be done.”
Randy Gordon: “It doesn’t take you long to jump ship does it buddy?”
Josh Cline: “Hey, you have to stay on top of these things.”
Randy Gordon: “Well either way, we now have new tag champions!”
George Chip walks around the ring with the belts in his hands and gives them over to Blake and Rex, who hold them up triumphantly as the crowd cheers. Daye re-enters the ring beside Night and they both point towards the Stoned Raiders yelling. Night signals around his waist that the belts belong to them, but Rex acts as if he’s brushing dirt off his shoulder. Night yells in frustration as the new champions walk out with the belts over their shoulders.

The scene cuts to backstage where a suited up POW official is talking to David Hunter.
Official: Mr Hunter, you do understand that there are people that work at the arena also use the parking lot?
Hunter: And?
Official: Well, your BMW is blocking a staff member from leaving. You really need to move your vehicle, Mr Hunter.
Hunter: I’ve gotta prepare for my match!
Official: It won’t take you five minutes, Mr Hunter!
Hunter: Excuse me? Who the hell do you think you are? I’m David Hunter; acting General Manager. And as long as I have that title, I answer to nobody…
Suddenly, Nick Pickles comes into shot. He is wearing what looks to be like a very expensive suit.
Pickles: What was that, Dave?
Hunter: I answer to nobody!
Pickles: I don’t know if you’ve heard…but…erm, I’m the new Commissioner here in POW!
Hunter: Oh really. Good for you. Shame for the company though...I…
Pickles: You answer to me? Yes I know…move your car, Dave!
Hunter: Sorry, what?
Pickles: Do what the man said, and what I’m saying and move your car!
Hunter: You must’ve misheard what I said to the short-ass mother f**ker that thought he could tell me what to do aswell…I’m not moving my car…and I answer to nobody!
Pickles: Hunter, I’m the COMMISSIONER! And you do as I say, and If you don’t, I will speak to the board, and I will have your ass out of that door as…
Hunter straightens up to Pickles and stares him out, before following the POW Official towards the parking lot. Nick smiles and turns around walking straight into a guy holding a tray of food. Nick stumbles backwards onto the floor, covered in sandwiches. Dave walks back and leans over Nick.
Dave: You know what?... i think i'll leave my car where it is... See ya later commish!
Hunter walks in the opposite direction as Nick watches him with a frustrated look.

Randy Gordon: Ladies and Gentlemen, we are back and up next we’ve got a match for the Mid-Atlantic Championship! Meltdown earned his chance at facing Buddy Love and tonight he’ll get what he and what Tony Hunter think he deserves. Let’s see if he can succeed…
Joe Barlow: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the POW Mid Atlantic Championship.
As the slow opening of “Aenema” by Tool goes through the arena, the lights go out and a slow flash of red light occasionally bursts over the stage every two seconds until the chorus starts.
A huge gust of golden smoke pours out of the Stage and Meltdown walks out quickly. He looks nowhere and simply walks down the ramp.
Joe Barlow: Ladies and Gentlemen, from Middlesbrough, England, weighing 240 pounds, the challenger, “The Last True Warrior” Meltdown!
He stops at the bottom of the stage and looks into the ring, Tavi quickly takes his kimono as he walks up the steps and into the ring.He chases his opponent out the ring (or simply enters). He climbs onto a turnbuckle, fastening his mask and raises his arms before hopping down and pacing around the ring.
"Love Shack" by the B-52s hits and Buddy Love struts to the ring, tossing Mardi Gras Beads into the crowd with the Mid Atlantic Title around his waist, giving high-fives and hitting on the women ringside.
Joe Barlow: And his opponent, from New Orleans, Louisiana, weighing 205 pounds, he is the POW Mid Atlantic Champion, Buddy Love!
Buddy steps into the ring, tosses his hat to the crowd, and does a few dance moves in the ring.
Buddy Love vs. Meltdown
Buddy Love approaches Meltdown and throws some boxing jabs, cornering Meltdown. Love hits a flowing DDT and picks Meltdown up off the mat. He irish whips him into the ropes and hits him with a clothesline when Meltdown’s on the way back. Buddy Love runs off the ropes and hits a leg drop. He covers Meltdown.
1…2…
Kick Out!
Josh Cline: There’s only one man I’ve ever seen win a match with a leg drop in my life time. No offence to Buddy Love but he isn’t Hulk Hogan!
Meltdown gets up and throws a hard punch at Buddy Love. Love staggers back and Meltdown hits a hard scoop slam. Buddy gets up and Meltdown hits a delayed brainbuster, followed by a running leg drop. He covers Buddy.
1…
Kick Out!
Josh Cline: Meltdown isn’t Hulk Hogan either. He’s gonna have to do better than that to defeat the Mid-Atlantic Champion.
Buddy stays on the mat and Meltdown goes to the top rope. He jumps off and hits a Moonsault leg drop.
Randy Gordon: And he calls that the Arasimu. Great move from Meltdown there!
Meltdown stands up before locking in a reverse bridging STF. Love refuses to give and Meltdown eventually releases the hold. Love gets up as Meltdown runs off the ropes and hits a spinning outside heel kick.
Randy Gordon: Dragonasu by Meltdown there, knocking the champion to the mat!
Meltdown picks Buddy Love up off the mat. He irish whips Buddy Love into the corner and props him up on the second rope, before hitting a second rope superplex. He goes to the top rope and hits a corkscrew senton.
Josh Cline: What a move by the challenger!
Randy Gordon: Yes! A very effective Okami Rising by Meltdown!
Meltdown picks up Buddy from the mat. He irish whips him into the ropes. He hits Buddy with a big boot before covering him.
1…2…
Randy Gordon: Kick out by the Champion!
Meltdown turns around and says that the count was slow by the referee. While his back is turned, Buddy Love gets up and hits a half nelson Suplex into a pin.
1…2…
Kick Out!
Both men get up and Buddy Love hits a diamond cutter. Love runs off the ropes and hits a fist drop. Love stalks Meltdown and as Meltdown gets up, he is hit with a swinging neckbreaker.
Randy Gordon: Good god. That was a tough neckbreaker by the champion. I felt that!
Meltdown stands up and he groggily stands up. Buddy Love throws a few boxing punches, leaving Meltdown leaning forward. Buddy then hits the Okawa street cutter.
He covers Meltdown
1…2….3
Randy Gordon: The champion retains!
Joe Barlow: Here is your winner and STILL POW Mid-Atlantic Champion, Buddy Love!!!

Josh Cline: I was speaking to Dave earlier and he said that it’s a welsh dragon. He pronounced it ee-drag-gox…
Randy Gordon: Yeah it’s the Y Ddraig Goch; the red dragon. Underneath the dragon, it says “Pride of Wales”. David obviously recognising his welsh heritage there!
Josh Cline: Yeah well he better recognise the Irishman, Mick Cormac ‘cause Hunter’s in for a tough match up next!

Joe Barlow: The following is a match scheduled for one fall. There are no disqualifications and the winner must be decided by pinfall or submission in the ring. The loser of the match will have to leave the North East territory!
As Barlow spoke, the POW Camera shows two glass cases at ringside, each holding the contracts of Tony Hunter and Dave Hunter inside.
“Barroom Hero” by Dropkick Murphy hits and Mick Cormac appears on the stage. Mick walks out at the top the stage he raises his bat and than plays/insults the crowd as he walks down the ramp.
Joe Barlow: Introducing first, from Cork, Ireland weighing 280 pounds, Mick Cormac!
Cormac walks up the steps and climbs into the ring.
The chorus of “You know my name” hits as “The Predator” Dave Hunter appears on the stage. Dave stands on the stage, met with many boos.
Joe Barlow: And his opponent, from Whiston, England, now residing in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, weighing 264 pounds, “The Predator” Dave Hunter!
He raises out his arms. He then arrogantly walks down to the ring and slides underneath the bottom rope. Dave then stretches his arms out and poses in the centre of the ring and the music fades.
Mick Cormac vs. Dave Hunter
Cormac immediately charges at Hunter who dives out of the way and under the bottom rope. Hunter attempts to climb back in the ring but Cormac threatens him again and he remains outside. After attempting to get in the ring again, and failing, Dave reaches under the ring and pulls out a sledge hammer.
Randy Gordon: I can imagine what Hunter’s got on his mind here!
Dave slides back into the ring and Cormac backs up before he runs at him again and hits a spear. Cormac stomps on Hunter a couple of times before letting him get up. He delivers a few right jabs before Hunter blocks one and hits a DDT. Hunter drags Cormac up off the mat and irish whips him into the corner. He drags him up so he’s sat on the top rope and Dave climbs the turnbuckle too and he hits a Suplex from the second rope.
Randy Gordon: Great Suplex there from Hunter.
Hunter covers Cormac.
1…2…
Kick Out!
Hunter turns around and complains to the referee. He drags Cormac up off the mat and irish whips him into the ropes. When he comes back he hits him with a spinebuster. Dave walks over to the corner and climbs the turnbuckle. He jumps attempting a shooting star press but Cormac rolls out of the ring. Cormac looks under the ring for a weapon and he drags out a table. He slides it into the ring before following it. Dave is on the mat in pain and Cormac drags him up before hitting an Inverted crucifix powerbomb.
Randy Gordon: Irish Car Bomb!
Cormac sets the table up in the middle of the ring and he picks Hunter up and places him on top of it. Cormac climbs to the second rope. And jumps down after Hunter rolls off. Cormac moves the table out of the way and he hits a back Suplex on Hunter. He folds one of the legs on the table and sets it up in the corner. He drags Hunter off the mat and hits a german Suplex on him through the table propped up in the corner.
Randy Gordon: Oh my God! What a Suplex!!!
Josh Cline: Hunter’s out of it here in the early stages of this match.
Cormac recovers from the mess. He drags Dave out of the corner and gets rid of the debris by throwing it to the outside. Cormac climbs the turnbuckle.
Randy Gordon: Very unlike Cormac to use aerial manoeuvres. What’s he gonna do here?
Cormac gets to the top rope and slips, falling to the outside of the ring.
Josh Cline: That’s why!
Both men are now laid out but they simultaneously start to get up, slowly.
Cormac crawls back to the apron and into the ring. Dave stands up and hits a clothesline. Cormac recovers quickly and they both stand up. Hunter hits a dropkick and Cormac gets up again. Dave runs off the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Cormac ducks. Cormac runs back attempting to hit a clothesline of his own but this time Hunter ducks, grabs Cormac’s arm and locks in a crossface on the mat.
Josh Cline: Oh my god! This could be it here! Hunter has got the cross face locked in!!!
Randy Gordon: The Irish Brawler is fading here!
Hunter tightens up the grip but Cormac finds energy from somewhere. He fights it and refuses to tap out. Hunter keeps the crossface locked in for about a minute before loosening his grip and standing up. He pulls Cormac up from the mat and irish whips him furiously over the top rope to the outside. Hunter climbs to the top rope and waits for Cormac to stand up before hitting a dropkick from the top rope. Hunter obviously feels the affects of it as he stays on the floor, holding his lower back.
Josh Cline: Looks like Hunter’s plan backfired there! He certainly did some damage to Cormac but he’s hurt himself too.
Hunter gets up and leans on the apron. He regains his composure and walks over to the announcers table. He takes the monitors off the desk and Josh Cline and Randy Gordon take off their headsets and move away from that area. Hunter pulls Cormac off the floor, delivers a few punches to his head and places him on the table. Hunter climbs up onto the table and pulls Cormac up. He hits a piledriver putting the table through!
Hunter covers Cormac but the referee points to the ring informing Hunter that the pinfall must occur inside the ring. Hunter pulls Cormac up from the floor and rolls him into the ring as Josh Cline and Randy Gordon return to their seats.
Randy Gordon: Well our table has been destroyed, thanks to Mr Hunter.
Hunter gets back in the ring before hesitating and leaving it again. He walks over towards the commentators. He grabs Randy Gordon by the head and Pushes him onto the floor.
Josh Cline: What the hell are you doing?
Hunter takes the steel chair that Gordon was sat on and slides into the ring where Cormac is now standing. He lifts the chair back ready to attack Cormac but Cormac hits a quick dropkick knocking him to the ground.
Hunter gets up but Cormac hits a hard uppercut, sending Hunter back to the mat. He pulls Hunter up from the mat and hits a modified DDT.
Josh Cline: Guiness Draught!!! What a DDT from Mick Cormac.
Randy Gordon drags his chair from out of the ring and regains his seat next to Josh Cline.
Randy Gordon: Cheeky bastard!
Gordon picks up all the scrambled papers from off the floor and organises them as Cormac stomps on Hunter in the ring. He allows Hunter to get up off the mat before hitting a gut wrench elevated neck breaker.
Randy Gordon: No leaf Clover!! What a move by Cormac. Is this it!?!
Cormac pulls Hunter off the mat. He stands for a second looking a dazed Hunter in the eyes before hitting a quick belly to belly Suplex. He quickly gets up and he stalks Hunter. Hunter gets to one knee and then stands properly before Cormac hits an RKO!
Randy Gordon: Emerald Isle Sting. That’s gotta be it!
Hunter covers Cormac.
1…2…
Kick Out!
Randy Gordon: What?!?
Josh Cline: I’ve never seen anyone kick out of that.
Randy Gordon: No, neither have I. Good God!
Cormac looks in shock at the referee before standing up and stalking Hunter again. Hunter gets to one knee and Cormac hits the RKO early this time. He covers him.
1…2…3
Randy Gordon: That is it! It took two Emerald Isle Stings but David Hunter has been defeated and Tony Hunter is no longer General Manager of POW:NE.
Josh Cline: Oh my God! What happens now!?!
Joe Barlow: Ladies and Gentlemen, your winner, Mick Cormac!!!

Randy Gordon: So who’s the figure head? Who’s gonna run the place? This will make it chaotic.
David Hunter rolls out of the ring and he lies holding his head at the bottom of the ramp. Mick Cormac walks over to the bell ringer’s table and picks up a packet of cigarettes He takes out a cigarette and a lighter that was in the packet and lights it. He walks over to where the contract’s of his and Tony’s are. He pulls of the glass cover and holds up one of the pieces of paper, and holds the cigarette to it, watching it burn. He drops it on the floor and as it all burns, a POW official grabs Josh Cline’s bottle of water and he throws it over the burning mess on the floor, turning it into a soggy, black mess.
Mick Cormac: Bring out Hunter for one last time!
Suddenly two big men come out, each of them holding one of Tony’s arms. They throw Tony on the stage and drop a microphone at his feet. He stands up, brushes himself off and picks up the microphone.
Tony Hunter: Congratulations, Mick! You did it. But before I continue applauding you for your great win tonight, Randy Gordon! Stand up!
Randy Gordon slowly and suspiciously takes off his headset and stands up.
Tony Hunter: Randy, you’ve got the contract for this match there in front of you, I believe. Please read it.
Gordon picks up a piece of paper from the floor and reaches for a microphone.
Randy Gordon: Power On Wrestling: New England Contract…Ocean City Slam…August 5 2007…Loser Leaves New England…
Tony Hunter: …okay. That’s enough. First of all, POW: New England no longer exists. We are now North East. But the contract still stands, only now it’s Loser Leaves North East. So, nothing else has changed really, apart from the date…but you’ve accomplished your mission, Mick. You’ve got me out of the North East.
Mick Cormac: Damn right. Tony Hunter, you were the cancer in this territory, and I was the cure! And now, we search for a new General Manager, someone who is fair and deserves to be given that title!
Tony Hunter: Woah! Woah! Woah! Who said anything about a new General Manager? The contract clearly states, Loser Leaves New England…or North East now! It doesn’t say Loser loses Job.
Randy Gordon regains his seat.
Randy Gordon: What’s he talking about?
So, from where I’m standing, I’ve only got to leave the North East!
At this point, Dave Hunter has walked up the ramp and is stood next to his father.
Tony Hunter: …and Mick, that’s fine. I have no problem leaving the North East. Really, I don’t mind.
Mick Cormac: Good! So hit the bricks, Hunter. And make sure the door doesn’t hit you in the arse on the way out!
Tony Hunter: Loser Leaves North East? Fine. I’ll leave North East…tonight in fact…only, Mick, the territory, and you (, as you’re my property as Head Booker of POW:NE) is coming with me.
Mick Cormac: What the hell are you talking about?
Tony Hunter: I’m still General Manager of the territory, Mick. And like I said; if I leave NE, so does to territory…to a place you are quite familiar; Great Britain!
Randy Gordon: What!?!
Josh Cline: Oh my god! Is Tony Hunter serious?
Randy Gordon: He seems pretty damn serious! Oh my God! I can’t believe this. So what happens now?
Josh Cline: I have no idea! We’ll have to wait and see! But it looks as though we’re moving to Great Britain!
Tony Hunter and Dave leave through the curtain as Mick Cormac stands stunned and slightly confused in the ring.

The scene reopens in the arena. We are at ringside with Josh Cline and Randy Gordon. The two talk.
Randy Gordon: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen, we are still in shock at the announcement made just moments ago. After tonight’s broadcast, there is no longer any POW: North East
Josh Cline: General Manager, Tony Hunter has stepped down as General Manager of POW: NE… but he has taken the territory with him… to Britain. We have no idea with regard to championships… with regards to jobs… with regards to anything. This could very well be the last time that we address as employees of Power On Wrestling.
Randy Gordon: That is most definitely a frightening thought Josh. We were brought in by Tony Hunter abruptly and we may go out in the same fashion. But… with that said, as of right now we have a Job to do. So let’s take it to the ring for the introductions for tonight’s main event.
Joe Barlow: The following match is your featured contest of the evening. It will be contested in the confines of a fifteen foot high steel cage. The winner will be declared the POW Eastern Heavyweight champion. Introducing first the challenger…
Hall of the Mountain King by the Who hits the speakers. JR Zevon steps from behind the curtain as the rockin' commences.
Joe Barlow: Making his way to the ring… from Flat Rock, Ohio… weighing in at 220 lbs… he is the former Eastern Heavyweight Champion… JR ZEVON!!!
He strolls to the ring with a smug smile on his face and proceeds to climb the ring steps. He walks on the apron, wipes his feet and enters through the ropes. He then checks the integrity of the turnbuckle pads and hassles the referee.
Joe Barlow: And his opponent…
As the first line of “The Way I Are” hits, two purple spotlights begin shining on the entrance curtain. As the techno beat begins, a cascade of strobe lights begin flickering throughout the stage area as John appears from the curtain with his hands held in the air. A foxy vixen by the name of Julia Sven emerges just afterwards dressed promiscuously with the Eastern Heavyweight Championship in her hands.
Joe Barlow: From Nashville, Tennessee… weighing in at 217 lbs… accompanied to the ring by Julia Sven… the Eastern Heavyweight Champion… JOHN ANTHONY!!!
As the chorus hits, she drapes the title over John Anthony’s shoulder. He pats the belt, removes his shades, and begins walking towards the ring as the purple spotlights follow his movements. Greeting the fans and pumping up the crowd, he runs up the stairs, jumps into the ring, and holds his championship belt high. Julia follows him into the ring and poses seductively as John begins stretching for his match.
Joe Barlow: Ladies and gentlemen, now, at this time, let’s lower… the CAGE!!!
The fans cheer as the cage starts to be lowered as the referee raises the belt above his head and the two combatants stare each other out. Julia is handed the title belt as she leaves the ring, along with Joe Barlow. She hands the belt to the second referee as the cage stops around the ring.
The referee asks both men if the are ready to start and then calls for the bell
Main Event: John Anthony vs. JR Zevon (Eastern Heavyweight Championship)
Both men walk to the centre of the ring. They start jaw-jacking hard and then the two begin to throw forearms to each other in rapid sequence. First Anthony, then Zevon, then Anthony, then Zevon. Anthony begins to get some momentum built and fires hard forearms to the face, the final one knocking Zevon down.
Zevon gets up quickly and is met with another forearm. Anthony Irish whips Zevon to the ropes and catches him with a big back elbow. Zevon gets up and staggers back to the corner. He mounts the turnbuckles and starts hammering Zevon's head.
Josh Cline: Already a lot of intensity by the champion, even in the early going.
Anthony lands his tenth punch and then drops down to his feet. He Irish whips Zevon again and attempts a clothesline. Zevon, though, counters and catches Anthony with a low dropkick to the knee. Zevon stands and walks to Anthony’s legs. He begins to work on the legs, stomping the knee he has just kicked. He picks the leg up and drops and elbow on it
Randy Gordon: The methodical former champion with cruel intentions tonight.
Zevon now starts with more elbows, then stands and applies a spinning toe hold
Josh Cline: Trying to end it early here with that submission hold. He has the spinning toe hold locked in on that leg he’s just weakened.
Zevon wrenches on the hold as Anthony yells out in pain. Zevon continues to push and leans in to talk smack. As he does this though, Anthony reaches out and rolls him up
1…
2…
Kick out!!!
Josh Cline: Almost caught him early there
Zevon and Anthony both get up quickly with Zevon catching Anthony with the clothesline. He knocks him down and then composes himself. He pulls Anthony to his feet and lands the snap suplex. He floats over to make the cover, forearm in Anthony’s face.
1…
2…
Kick out!!!
Zevon gets up and threatens to send Anthony to the cage walls. He pulls him backwards and launches him into the cage mesh. Anthony puts the breaks on and stops the collision, however. Zevon grabs Anthony and attempts to force his face into the mesh but Anthony blocks it again. Zevon drags Anthony out to the centre of the ring and tries to launch him into the Cage. This time, however, Anthony counters and sends Zevon flying, face first into the cage.
Randy Gordon: Hard shot into the cage for Zevon by Anthony
Josh Cline: Zevon is out on his feet
Zevon staggers back from the cage and Anthony grabs him again. He sends him to the opposite side. Once again Zevon stumbles back and falls onto his back. Anthony pounces and starts hammering away at Zevon’s head and face.
Josh Cline: Hard shots from the champion and the challenger is reeling
Anthony continues pounding on Zevon whilst getting to his feet. He then starts stomp at him. After a few kicks he runs the ropes and crashes back down with a hard driving elbow to the head. He covers Zevon
1…
2…
Kick out!
Josh Cline: Anthony hasn’t quite done enough to beat Zevon yet
Anthony gets up and signals for a running knee drop. He runs. As he leaves his feet and raises his knee, Zevon rolls out of the way. Anthony’s knee crashes into the mat. He stands up limping. Zevon stands up behind him and kicks away at Anthony’s leg. He kicks him three times, knocking him down to the floor. He takes hold of Anthony’s leg and begins kicking him in the back of the knee, before dropping quick elbows to the knee. He drags Anthony’s to the ropes and drapes his foot across the bottom strand. He jumps in the air and crashes down on John’s leg, making Anthony wince in pain.
Randy Gordon: Zevon being very methodical in his literal dissection of the leg of the Eastern champion
Josh Cline: Brilliant strategy by the challenger… if John can’t stand, he can’t climb. And if he can’t climb… he can’t catch Zevon when he bolts over the top of the cage
Zevon continues working on the leg and attempts a single leg Boston crab. John fights it, however, and kicks Zevon away and climbs to his feet. He is now heavily favouring the right knee. Zevon heads back at Anthony and swings for him but Anthony blocks him and fires back with a right of his own. Zevon tries again but is this time blocked and head butted. Zevon is staggered back to the corner as Anthony rushes him with a burst of energy. Zevon reacts quickly and plants a low drop kick right to the injured knee, knocking Anthony into the second turnbuckle, face first. This jacks Anthony’s neck back and he rolls back into the centre of the ring. Zevon pounces and makes the pin

2…
Th… NO!!!
Anthony just kicks out before the referee’s hand ca come all the way down. Zevon curses as he gets to his feet and drags Anthony up. He grabs John and runs him into the cage. Anthony falls back into the ring
Josh Cline: Zevon making that cage his best friend and driving the Champions head into the unforgiving steel mesh.
Anthony stands up; a trickle of blood begins to roll from his hair line, down his cheek. Zevon walks over to Anthony and grabs his head. He drags him back to the mesh and grates his head backwards and forwards over the fencing, further opening the laceration on Anthony’s head. Zevon lets go and Anthony staggers and falls back onto the mat, bleeding more now.
Randy Gordon: Anthony bleeding profusely now
Zevon picks Anthony up and lands a snap suplex before applying a rear chin lock. He wrenches the hold as Anthony tries to break it. He pulls on the chin. After a few seconds Zevon begins to bite Anthony’s head. The referee reprimands Zevon but he cannot force him to break the hold
Josh Cline: No holds barred in a steel cage. Zevon can bite away at Anthony for as long as he likes
Zevon continues biting, then drives the point of his elbow into the open wound repeatedly, further opening up the champion. He stands and picks Anthony up before landing him with a snapmare. He covers
1…
2…
Kick out!
Zevon gets a touch frustrated now and stands up. He kicks the knee of Anthony again before heading to the cage wall to escape. As he makes his way to the fence, though, Anthony starts to his feet. Zevon begins to scale the fencing. Zevon reaches the tope rope and begins to pull himself up. Anthony, though, has a sudden burst of adrenaline and clubs Zevon in the back. He drags him back down and starts throwing fists at Zevon’s face. He backs him up in to the ropes and runs him right into the other side of the cage. He does this again to the other side and again to the 3rd and 4th. Zevon rolls backwards onto his knees, he is bleeding just as much as Anthony, who catches his breath now in the corner. Zevon gets to his feet as Anthony returns to meet him. Anthony grabs Zevon, who starts to fire quick shots to his abdomen. Anthony and Zevon now begin trading blows. Anthony backs Zevon into the ropes and whips him. Zevon counters the whip and sends Anthony to the ropes. Upon his return Zevon attempts a clothesline, as does Anthony. Both men collide and are knocked down hard to the floor.
Randy Gordon: Both men are down and we can do nothing but wait. No count out’s inside that steel cage
Josh Cline: There will be a winner tonight Randy. One of these men must walk out as champion
Zevon and Anthony start to their feet. They again trade blows until Zevon gains the upper hand. Zevon Irish whips Anthony again and attempts a clothesline but Anthony ducks and continues running. As he returns Zevon lifts Anthony up and falls backwards into the cage with an almost modified Stungun like manouver. Safe in his position in the match Zevon begins to signal for the “Extra crispy” on the downed Anthony.
Randy Gordon: Zevon needs to be careful here… this is how he lost the title in the first place
Zevon attempts the hold from behind. Just like “Red, White & Bruised” Anthony drops down and rolls up Zevon, cradling the legs tightly.
1…
2…
Thre….NO!
Zevon kicks out and gets up quickly and staggers, a little disoriented. He turns and is met by Anthony, who is also up. Anthony catches him hard with a kick to the gut and drills him with the Double under-hook DDT
Randy Gordon: “Even the Odds” by the champion. This has got to be it
Anthony stands and begins to limp towards the door. Suddenly there is a loud commotion outside the ring and a large group of staff, producers, security etc. pour out of the curtain to ringside. Seemingly a fan has jumped the railing and is trying to gain entry to the cage. The camera pans out to reveal that the “fan” is, in fact, Brine, the bare knuckle fighter from the club the other night. Anthony stops, as he knows that Brine is there for him. Security tries to get Brine out of the arena but he is too large and he is knocking them away like flies. The in ring referee quickly opens the cage door and runs out to assist. With Anthony distracted, Zevon takes his opportunity and lands a chop block to the injured knee, making the champion crumple into a heap on the mat. Zevon gets up and looks smug. He saunters to the door
Josh Cline: This is it. There’s no way that the champion can catch him on only one wheel
Randy Gordon: Zevon is about to regain the belt
On the outside the commotion continues. One producer, a young gentlemen holding a production sheet is laying the law out to Brine as security try and restrain him. Brine pushes off the security team and goozles the producer. He hoists him into the air.
By this stage Zevon has reached the door and is leaning through the ropes. The door is open. On the outside Brine still has the producer in the air. He launches him forward, sending him careering into the cage door. The producer hits the cage door, sending it flying into Zevon’s head. This shot dazes Zevon who stumbles back into the ring. He staggers backwards, into the awaiting Anthony, who, despite only having full use in one leg, bows his head and raises Zevon high into the air with the electric chair. He sends Zevon forward, face first.
Randy Gordon: The High Life… he caught with the High Life!!!
Josh Cline: Is it over?
On the outside Brine is caught with some pepper spray from one of the security guards and is finally taken down. In the ring Anthony, still favouring the leg, makes the cover. The referee slides back into the ring and counts
1…
2…
3!!!
Randy Gordon: It’s over… John Anthony has retained the championship and Zevon is defeated once more
Josh Cline: This match went back and forth but in the end the champion won out over the challenger
Randy Gordon: Well now… as POW: Northeast lays in a state of uncertainty… one thing is for certain… John Anthony is still the Eastern Heavyweight Champion. And now ladies and gentlemen… for what maybe the last time… Alongside Josh Cline… I am Randy Gordon… goodnight every body
The scene cuts to John Anthony and Julia who are in the ring as the cage is being raised. They are semi-jubilant in the victory but you can see concern and curiosity on their faces over the uncertainty of POW: NE and their positions. We stay with this scene before fading out
