The scene opens at ringside at the announce desk.
Randy Gordon: Good evening ladies and gentlemen to the first, live, stop on the Road to Ocean City Slam. We have a jam packed card this week and so we’re gonna get straight to the action.
Josh Cline: Yeah let’s take it to the ring
Joe Barlow: Ladies and gentlemen this is your opening contest on the Road to Ocean City Slam and it is a 6 man tag team match, scheduled for one fall introducing first team number one…
The lights dim as President Pliskin appears on the titantron, on the Presidential Stand in the White House, in front of many reporters from newspapers around America, snapping pictures at him. President Pliskin then speaks.
My fellow Americans…It has come to my attention that some of you think…well...I have corrupted the US Government, that I’ve destroyed America from inside out. I have called for this meeting to assure you, I am not corrupt. I am doing what is best for the United States of America, and I will not fail any one of the US Citizens. America is okay.
A computer like voice then begins to say America is okay…okayyy…o-o-o-kkkk-a-yyy…. Angel by Massive Attack begins to play as two CIA agents come out, holding on to their earpieces. They are wearing black tuxes and have black short hair. One of them walks down to the ring as one of them stays at the entrance. The one at the entrance signals for someone to come out as President Pliskin makes his way to the stage. He has the American Flag rested on his right shoulder, which is being held with his right hand. Pliskin's voice is heard during the song.
It seems that people have said that my entire reign as President has had conspiricies. I assure you all, the goverment is no conspiricy. We are currently doing our best for America.
President Pliskin walks down to the ring as the CIA Agent follows him. The agent at the ring gets up on the apron as he opens up the ropes for President Pliskin. Pliskin walks up the stairs and climbs through the open ropes.
The economy for America has been improving. We are winning our war in Iraq, and I promise to all of the families that have relitives, friends, in Iraq, that they will come home saftely.
Both agents get in the ring as the prez puts the American flag under the bottom right corner. Both agents inspect the ring. Prez and the CIA then await their opponents
Barlow: from Washington, D.C. they are the team of the CIA and President Robert Pliskin…
And now for team number two…
“Roll ‘em up” by Vanilla Ice plays over the P.A. system. Stoned Raiders walk out to their music. Blake Ryder looks around and makes a "smoking" taunt while Rex Vinkle raises up his hand like something important is happening. They slowly walk down the aisle, taking their time. They finally step into the ring, and lean on the ropes.
Barlow: first from Colombus Ohio… at a total combined weight of 380 lbs… The Stoned Raiders
And their tag team partner…
"Party Like a Rock Star" by Shop Boyz begins to play and the crowd get out of the chairs as "Renegade" Travis Brown enters through the curtain, his belt on his shoulder. He beats his chest for a few seconds and then points to the people. He then runs to the ring and then slides in under the bottom rope. Travis approaches a turnbuckle, climbs it and then outstretches his arms, holding up his belt.
Barlow: From Newark, New Jersey… weight 249 lbs… “The Renegade” Travis Brown
Brown steps down as the Stoned Raiders leave as do Pliskin and Agent Knight.
President Pliskin and the CIA vs. Travis Brown and the Stoned Raiders
Agent Thompson and Brown lock up with Thompson taking control with a headlock. Brown backs him into the ropes and sends him off to the other side. Thompson returns with a shoulder block. He runs the ropes and jumps over Brown, who is now on his stomach. Brown gets up as Thompson returns and catches him with a back body drop.
Randy: Big back body drop by Renegade. Renegade runs the ropes now as Thompson gets up. Renegade catches him with a big clothesline. Renegade picks him up and scoop slams him. He runs the ropes once again but is caught with a knee to the back by Knight. Thompson takes over now with hard shots to the face, backing Brown up into the corner. He tags in Knight and the two begin kicking away at Renegade.
Cline: Spot of double teaming here by the CIA
Thompson gets out of the ring whereas Knight continues the assault. Knight picks him up and applies a bear hug. Brown begins to fight as Knight applies further pressure. Brown headbutts Knight to break the hold. Knight staggers backwards but then runs at Renegade full pelt, only to be caught with the flapjack spinebuster
Randy: Desperation move
Both men begin to crawl to their respective corners to make a tag. Knight gets there first tagging in Prez who rushes the ring hoping to capitalise on the fallen Renegade. It is to no avail as Renegade reaches his corner and leaps, tagging in both Raiders. The raiders rush the ring and Tee off on both the CIA members and Prez, knocking him down. The Stoned Raiders knock both the CIA agents out of the ring and follow up by executing dual planchas to the outside.
Randy: So who is the legal man?
Cline: I don’t think the referee knows Randy
Prez, who was knocked down by the Raiders, gets to his feet. He looks out of the ring to all four men, incapacitated due to the high risk planchas. He turns around and is caught by a rib shattering Gore by the Renegade
Cline: I guess he is the legal man
Randy covers him

Joe Barlow: Ladies and gentlemen your winners… The Stoned Raiders and Travis Brown!!!
The Raiders leave up the ramp as Brown walks over to the announce desk and takes a seat

Randy Gordon: Ladies and Gentlemen, we are back and we have the Openweight Champion joining us for this match! Welcome Travis Brown!
Travis Brown: That’s right. I’m here to see who my next victim is for Ocean City Slam
Randy Gordon: Victim? Travis, it could be the man that defeats you at Ocean City Slam
Josh Cline: Don’t be stupid Gordon!
Joe Barlow: The following contest will decide the number one contender of The Openweight Championship!
"Go ahead, try me...just f**king try me!"
The instrumental version of “Chapter 4” by Avenged Sevenfold hits.
After a few bars, the lights flicker extremely fast, and Eddie comes walking out onto the stage pointing at the crowd and yelling profanities at fans in the audience, wearing a T-Shirt that reads “Try Me”
Eventually Eddie makes his way into the ring and takes off his shirt and sunglasses.
Joe Barlow: On his way to the ring, from Miami, Florida, weighing in at 220 pounds, Eddie Buchalini Junior!!!
Buchalini climbs the steps and through the ropes.
The lights dim, and ''Revinventing Your Exit'' by Underoath hits the P.A system the crowd all rush to the barriers holding up posters that have nothing to do with Cory Barnett. Then he appears from the black curtains holding his hands up high. He looks around the arena and senses the electricity from the fans and makes his walk to the ring.
Joe Barlow: And his opponent, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing 195 pounds, Cory Barnett!!!
He runs up the steps and then inside the ring, then he looks around the arena again and then holds his hands high in the air as the lights go back to normal.
Eddie Buchalini Jr. vs. Cory Barnett
~Ding Ding~
Barnett walks towards Buchalini and hits a dropkick. Buchalini quickly gets up and slaps Barnett in the face. Barnett stares at Buchalini but Buchalini grabs Barnett and hits him with a Suplex.
Randy Gordon: The former UWC TV Champion getting the upperhand early here!
Josh Cline: Yeah, Cory Barnett is gonna have to put up some fight to become number one contender!
Travis Brown: It’ll be nothing compared to the fight he’ll have to put up in three weeks time!
Buchalini stands up and as Barnett stands up he hits him with an inverted DDT. Barnett gets to one knee and Buchalini places Barnett’s head between his legs, preparing for a piledriver. He jumps up and hits it hard on Barnett’s head!
RG: Oh! What a piledriver by Buchalini…
JC: Right on his skull! That’s gotta hurt!
Buchalini stands up and looks at Barnett as he attempts to get up again. He grabs Barnett and lifts him up for a delayed vertical Suplex but Barnett reverses it and hits a Tornado DDT. He picks up Buchalini and hits him with a powerbomb to the mat.
RG: Barnett on the comeback here!
He goes to the top rope and waits for Buchalini to stand up. When he gets to his feet, Barnett jumps and hits a hurricanrana. He covers him.
1…2…
Kick Out!
Buchalini gets to one knee but Barnett runs off the ropes and hits a shining wizard.
RG: Unusual move for Barnett to use but hey, it worked! Look at Buchalini!
Buchalini is lying in the middle of the ring. Barnett runs off the ropes again and this time hits a leg drop. He looks up to the ceiling and points up. He runs off the ropes again and hits a splash. He covers Buchalini.
1…2…
Kick Out!
He runs off the ropes again and hits a leg drop, keeping Buchalini grounded. He drags Buchalini a little closer to the corner and climbs to the top rope. He hits a high impact frog splash!
RG: Superman Splash!
JC: That could be it, Randy
Barnett covers Buchalini.
1…2…3!
Joe Barlow: Your winner and Number One Contender for the POW Openweight Championship, Cory Barnett.
RG: Well it was over very quick there but we have a number one contender now!
TB: Ha! He might have won that match…but he’s just put the gun to his own head! All I’ve gotta do is pull the trigger in 3 weeks time!
Brown stands up and takes off his headset as Cory Barnett stares down at him. They have a stare down before the scene fades for a commercial break.

We return to ringside
Josh Cline: We are back now and we are fast approaching three team tag team action
Randy Gordon: Without further ado let's take it to the ring
Joe Barlow stands in the middle of the ring, microphone in hand.
Barlow: “Ladies and gentlemen your next match is scheduled for one fall and is a three way tag team match!”
“Hell Raiser” by Ozzy Osbourne crashes onto the PA system as the lights begin spinning throughout the arena. Mikey Badass appears through the black curtain atop a motorcycle, revving the engine as the song continues. Before riding to the ring the PA system kicks over to “Grand Theft Auto” by Da Shootaz as Dante Bishop appears. He stands beside Mikey but pays little attention to him as he begins strutting towards the ring. Mikey revs his engine again before storming past him towards the ring.
Barlow: “At a combined weight of 495 pounds, they are the team of Mikey Badass and Dante Bishop!”
Dante runs over to a turnbuckle and begins head butting it before jumping onto the second rope. Mikey plays to the crowd as the boos resound from the POW: New England crowd.
The lights then go dark as the chilling song “I Walked with a Zombie” by Wednesday 13 begins playing. As the guitar riffs kick in, Jason Resurrection appears from the corner and runs down the entrance way greeting the fans. He stops short of entering the ring, staring down the team of Mikey and Dante. Jason then breaks in a Thriller dance as the crowd cheers. The PA system changes tone as “Eye of the Tiger” begins playing by Survivor. King Cobra bursts forth from the black curtain and throws his hands into the air to an immense pop from the crowd. He walks down the ramp to join his partner in the stare down.
Barlow: “And coming in tonight at a total weight of 396 pounds, please welcome Jason Resurrection and his partner… King Cobra!”
The two stars jump into the ring as Mikey and Dante stand before them. The tension is high as referee Scott Prado stands between them. The lights go dark once again…
Are you ready for your close ups… BITCHES!
Lights, Camera, Action comes on the speakers as the lights go out a few lights of blue and orange are panning over the entranceway as a hooded Night and Daye both walk out Daye walks ahead and kneels down as Night turns around behind him. Night puts his hands in the air and the two lift their hoods at the same time as the lights comes on. They both walk down to the ring taunting fans along the way with their signature "close up" taunt.
Barlow: “And finally your defending Eastern Tag Team Champions, weighing in at a weight of 582 pounds, they are the team of Night and Daye… THE FINAL CUT!”
Josh Cline: “What an explosive match we have here Randy. Such explosiveness in the ring! And look at Final Cut man; you have a team who debuted for New England last week at Red, White, and Bruised in dominant fashion by winning the tag belts!”
Rob Gordon: “Not to mention both men are in the TV Title qualifiers for POW: Midwest and Night still carries the AAA medallion!”
Josh Cline: “Ok buddy, get out of bed with them already. I’m excited to see King Cobra back in the ring and to see how Mikey and Dante team up after Mikey’s comments on taking Dante down at any moment!”
Rob Gordon: “Well then let’s get this match underway!”
“Dangerous B” Dante Bishop and Mikey Badass vs. King Cobra and Jason Resurrection vs. The Final Cut
The bell rings as Scott Prado asks the teams who will start out in the ring. Mikey pushes Dante out of the way and stands in the middle of the ring. Jason Resurrection steps forward as well as Cobra steps outside of the ring. Night and Daye look at each other, and then rush forward to attack Mikey and Jason with a flurry of punches. Prado tries to control the instant mayhem as Night and Daye deliver a pair of power slams. Prado insists that one of them leave the ring before he disqualifies them. Night holds his hands up and walks out of the ring.
Josh Cline: “These two waste no time proving that they’re not going to be pushed around here in POW: New England!”
Rob Gordon: “Scott Prado certainly has his hands full tonight…”
Daye places his hands on a downed Mikey Badass’s shoulders, pulling him upright. He unleashes another series of punches followed by a boot the midsection of Mikey. Daye grabs Mikey’s arm and Irish Whips him into the ropes. As Mikey rebounds back he meets Daye’s arm in the form of a clothesline which drops him hard on his back. By now Jason had managed to stand. Daye turned to him and swung a big right hand, but Jason ducks and hits a reverse DDT on Daye. Instead of letting the explosive Daye stay down, he quickly pulls him up and whips him across the ropes. Jason rushes towards him and manages to clothesline Daye out of the ring!
The crowd cheers as Jason taunts a downed Daye before turning around to meet a brutal head butt from Mikey Badass. Jason grabs his face and stumbles around as Mikey delivers some fierce forearms to Jason’s back. Focusing on wearing down Jason, Mikey puts him in a headlock and grips it tight to cut off any airflow. King Cobra begins clapping and the crowd joins in to try and help Jason out. Mikey grips the hold tight as Jason begins swinging his arms around frantically. A random right hand clocks Mikey and the hold is dropped. Jason jumps over to his corner to tag King Cobra, but right before he can a huge boot from Night knocks Cobra straight off the turnbuckle!
Rob Gordon: “That damned beast of a man just took Cobra out before he could even get in!”
Josh Cline: “I think they call that strategy. Look at Jason in there. He doesn’t know what to do now.”
As Jason turns around, Daye is there to meet him with an elbow. Referee Scott Prado runs to the ropes and begins arguing with Night to stop his out-of-ring assault on King Cobra. With the distraction in play, Daye takes advantage and delivers a low blow to Jason Resurrection. Dante Bishop decides that he’s watched enough and decides to get involved, running into the ring. He delivers a straight right to Daye before a body slam to the man. Mikey stands up and looks at Dante. They seem to be on the same page for now at least. Mikey smiles and then drops down onto Daye for the cover.
Prado notices the pin and begins the count.
1…
2…
Kick out by Daye. Mikey tags in Dante, then grabs a hold of Daye and lifts him up. Dante gives him a kick to the midsection as Mikey returns to their corner. The outside fight between Night and Cobra has stopped as both men had returned to their corners as well. Jason suddenly jumps to his feet and clotheslines Dante out of nowhere. With Daye still dazed, Jason delivers a bulldog before turning to Cobra and making the tag.
The crowd is hot as King Cobra enters the ring. Night crawls through the ropes as well however and locks up with Cobra. Prado tries to break the men up, but Night swings a stray right that Cobra ducks. The huge fist of Night clocks Prado in the head as the referee falls to the ground.
Rob Gordon: “Oh no… Prado is out cold… this could get ugly.”
Cobra delivers a few forearms, but is met by a thumb to the eye by Night. The crowd voices their displeasure as Daye stands up and poses beside Night. Dante stands up, but The Final Cut with have nothing with it. Daye climbs to the top rope as Night delivers a fierce chop to Dante. Pulling him towards the middle of the ring, Night delivers a backbreaker and holds on to Dante. Daye jumps from the top rope and crashes down on a sprawled out Dante with a top rope leg drop.
Rob Gordon: “No one in that rings stands a chance with both Night and Daye in the ring.”
Josh Cline: “That’s why they’re the champions Rob!”
Rob Gordon: “Because they knock out the referee and double team guys that weigh half as much as them?”
King Cobra hits Daye in the back with an elbow, but is quickly double teamed by Night and Daye. They both whip Cobra into the turnbuckle and he falls face forward. Jason crawls into the ring to help out, but is met by a quick spear by Night. Daye pushes Jason out of the ring and the two continue their assault on King Cobra. Scott Prado comes to however, and pushes Night out of the ring. Night argues, but Prado insists. Daye walks over to King Cobra, but Cobra quickly jumps up and hits an elbow on Daye, then another, and a third. Daye falls backwards as Cobra jumps on top of the turnbuckle. Daye stands just as Cobra leaps off with a flying cross body. The crowd cheers as Cobra makes the cover…
1….
2….
Kick out by Daye!
Rob Gordon: “A close call for the defending champions right there!”
Cobra pulls Daye up looks to the crowd. Grabbing Night, he pulls him upwards into a sort of delayed suplex. The crowd knows Night is only moments away from suffering The Snake Bite. Unfortunately, Night is aware of this too and wastes little time running into the ring and kicking out Cobra’s legs. Daye lands on his feet and kicks Cobra right in the square of the back. Night puts a single leg outside of the ring and Daye makes the tag. Night runs in as Daye tends to Mikey Badass and Dante Bishop outside of the ring. And by “tends to” I mean “kicks the living **** out of.”
Night pulls up a weakened Cobra, but Cobra fights back against the giant. The two exchange blows, but Night gets to the best of him. The near seven foot man grabs Cobra and punishes him with a gorilla press slam. Cobra is laid out as Night stands over him. He motions for Daye to get his ass in the ring. Daye delivers a final fist to Dante Bishop before sliding into the ring. Prado puts his hands on Daye’s chest, but Daye slaps them away. Night lifts Cobra up but Jason Resurrection is back again. Jason tries to fight off the duo, but is downed by a choke slam from Night. With both Jason and Cobra down in the middle of the ring, Daye lifts Cobra up.
Rob Gordon: “Prado needs to get Daye out of the ring already!”
As if he heard the comments by Gordon, Prado once again forces Daye outside of the ring. The damage had been done however as Night grabbed on to the spaced out King Cobra. Night lifts Cobra into a hanging vertical lift before swinging it into a spinning rock bottom.
Josh Cline: “Good Night and Good Luck Cobra. It looks like this is over.”
Rob Gordon: “No, not like this. Cobra makes his return and gets double teamed by these guys? This isn’t how things were supposed to happen!”
Night hooks the leg and glares at the crowd as Prado drops to the mat.
1…
2….
3…!
Josh Cline: “It looks like Night and Daye are going to be a force to be reckoned with here in POW: New England Rob!”
Rob Gordon: “Well with tactics like that…”
Joe Barlow: “And your winners of the match by pinfall, Night and Daye… THE FINAL CUT!”
Night and Daye are handed their Eastern Tag Titles and pose above a cascade of downed superstars as the crowd voices their opinion on the destructive duo.

We return to ringside
Ladies and Gentlemen, last week at Red, White and Bruised, John Anthony won the POW Eastern Heavyweight Championship from JR Zevon. Things couldn’t get any better from our point of view but Anthony had more on his mind and wanted to put icing on the cake. Let’s go back to Red, White and Bruised to see what happened!
The camera goes to the screen.
Zevon stands up and stomps on Anthony’s back. He signals to the crowd to say that he is gonna finish him. He measure Anthony as he drags himself up on the ropes. Anthony steps back and Zevon attempts the “Extra Crispy”…
Randy Gordon: This is gonna be it
Anthony telegraphs it and drops to his ass. He reaches up with his legs and rolls the champ up
1…
2…
3!!!
WINNER AND NEW EASTERN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: JOHN ANTHONY
Randy Gordon: No Way!!!
Joe Barlow: Ladies and gentlemen here is your winner… and the NEW!!!!!... POW Eastern Heavyweight Champion… John Anthony
The crowd erupt as John is handed the belt. He can’t believe he has won then he suddenly remembers something. He calls over Joe Barlow who reaches into his pocket and hands him a small box and the microphone. He asks for quiet and receives it. He speaks to the live audience
John Anthony: Ladies and gentlemen, first I wanna say thank you for all your support… without it I couldn’t have won this. But there is one of you, without whom, I would never have even got this far. That person is sat in the front row…Julia… would you please come to the ring.
His girlfriend Julia Sven is helped over the guard rail. She enters the ring a little bemused. John speaks to her
John Anthony: Julia… I love you and with out you I would be nothing. Now whilst I maybe the Eastern Champion… you are the champion of my heart. And whilst we’re stood in a wrestling ring… I wanna talk to you about a different ring…
Anthony gets down on his knee and opens the box to reveal a ring
John Anthony: Julia… what I wanna ask you is… will you marry me?
Julia looks lovingly into Johns eyes but she hesitates. She takes the microphone as a tear falls from her eye.
Julia: John… John… I… I can’t… I’m not ready, I’m not… I can’t do it. I ove being with you… god knows I do but… I can’t do it… I can’t
She begins to cry as she leaves the ring. Anthony stays kneeling… despondent at her refusal. He looks as she leaves, and then down to the ring and his belt as the scene fades out in silence
Randy Gordon: John Anthony couldn’t help but feel rejected after that. Let’s see where he is at the moment.
The scene opens in Anthony’s locker room. He is sat down on a chair. In front of him are two stools. On one, the POW Heavyweight Championship and on the other, the engagement ring. Anthony’s head is in his hands.

We return to action in the ring
Joe Barlow: Ladies and gentlemen the following non-title contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first…
“Life wasted” by Pearl Jam plays over the P.A system
*You're always saying that there's something wrong... I'm starting to believe it's your plan all along...
Death came around, forced to hear its song... And know tomorrow can't be depended on.*
Eddie Jones appears in the crowd at the top of the lower level in a very Sandman-esque manner. Dangling from his mouth is a cigarette. He takes a puff and exhales before putting the cigarette back in his mouth. He stands at the top of the stairway and stares down into the crowd. He raises one of his arms high into the air.
*I seen the home inside your head... All locked doors and unmade beds. Open sores unattended Let me say just once that*
Eddie makes his way down the stairs slowly as the crowd both cheers and boos at him. He looks around at the crowd occasionally and takes an occasional drag from his cigarette as he descends the steps.
*I have faced it... A life wasted... I'm never going back again.
I escaped it... A life wasted... I'm never going back again.*
Eddie stops a moment when he gets to the barrier and takes a final drag on his cigarette. He exhales and drops his cigarette to the ground and crushes it out with his foot. He climbs over the barrier and rolls under the bottom rope.
Barlow: from Seattle, Washington… weighing in at 240lbs… this is Eddie Jones
The crowd continue to boo loudly as Jones walks about the ring awaiting the arrival of his opponent
Barlow: And his opponent…
“Love Shack” plays now as Buddy Love struts to the ring, tossing Mardi Gras Beads into the crowd, giving high-fives and hitting on the women ringside.
Barlow: From New Orleans, Louisiana… weighing 205lbs… he is the current, reigning POW Mid Atlantic Champion… Buddy “Love” Johansson
He steps into the ring, tosses his hat to the crowd, and does a few dance moves in the ring. The music cuts out as the two men prepare to engage.
Randy Gordon: So here we are. Buddy Love vs. Eddie Jones in Buddy’s first match since becoming Mid Atlantic Champion. At Red, White and Bruised Buddy Love, with one punch, having already beaten Meltdown, knocked out the defending champion, David Hilt and took his championship
Josh Cline: But there is no time for him to rest on his laurels Randy… He has to take on Eddie Jones tonight and, whilst this isn’t a championship match, there is still a lot riding on this match
Randy: For Eddie Jones this match is about him catapulting himself into title contention for one of the championships in POW by beating one of the best there is. But for Love it is about making a statement that he is a dominant champion
The bell rings
Buddy Love vs. Eddie Jones
The two lock up in the ring and Eddie Jones quickly takes over with a headlock. Love fights the hold and manages to counter it to a top hammerlock, wrenching the hold and bringing Jones to the mat.
Randy: Early take down by Buddy
Eddie begins to get to his feet with Buddy still holding on to the arm. With both men finally getting to a vertical base, Buddy locks in a headlock. Jones pushes him into the ropes and sends him to the other side. As buddy returns he is caught with a shoulder block, knocking him down to the floor. Buddy quickly capitalises and goes for the cover
1…
Kick out
Cline: Trying to end it quickly here but I doubt he’ll get the job done with a shoulder block
Both men get up quickly but Jones catches Buddy with a sweeping leg trip and covers him
1…
Kick out
Randy: And now the champ gets caught
Cline: Fast paced action in the early going here
Both men stand up quickly and Buddy catches Jones with a headlock takeover. Jones counters this hold with a head scissors. Buddy tries to escape but his head is stuck fast. Buddy tries to wriggle out… he tries to force his way out but to no avail. He manages to roll over, forcing Jones onto his stomach. Now in a different position Buddy is able to bridge out of the hold. He gets his head free and keeps a hold of the legs of his Jones:
Randy: Great show of athleticism by the champion
Buddy moves quickly to his opponents head and applies a front face lock. He clamps down on the hold as Jones attempts to regain his footing. Jones breaks the grip of Buddy and applies an arm wringer. Buddy is quick to react and performs a forward roll and kips up, applying a wristlock himself. Jones reacts just as quickly and executes a beautiful cartwheel followed by the application of a hammerlock.
Cline: A great use of technical skill in this match. Both men going hold for hold
Buddy is caught in the hammerlock. He tries to reach down for the leg but it is pulled away. Buddy reaches back and grabs Jones’ head. He jumps high and as he begins to fall he executes a snapmare sending Jones flying off.
Jones gets up quickly, a little disoriented, and is caught by a quick hip toss. He gets up again and is caught with another. He gets up a third time and is caught with a stiff kick to the gut. Buddy catches Jones with a swinging neck breaker and makes the cover
1…
2…
Kick out!!
Randy: Almost a three there.
Buddy quickly slaps on a sleeper hold. He clamps down on the hold, restricting Jones airway. Jones begins to fade as the referee checks on him. He raises and lowers Jones arm
1…
He does it again
2…
And a third time
Thr… NO!!!
Jones keeps his hand aloft
Cline: It’s not over yet
Randy: I thought he was done but there is fight left in Eddie Jones yet
Jones gets to his feet, Buddy still holding on to the sleeper. Jones fires quick elbows to the abdomen of Buddy. He then shifts his weight and lifts Buddy up and drops backward, executing a perfect Back suplex, incapacitating both men. The ref begins to count
1…
2…
3…
Randy: Both men are down
Cline: This could end with a double count out and no one wants to see that
4…
5…
Randy: Referee at 5 now
6…
Buddy and Jones both start to their feet
7…
8…
Jones is up
Buddy is up
Both men begin to throw hands with each other. Jones, in desperation, Irish whips Buddy and attempts a clothesline. Buddy ducks as Jones turns around and Buddy hits the shake, rattle and roll, knocking Jones down. From there Buddy hits the running leg drop and covers Jones
1…
2…
Kick out!!
Cline: Buddy building some momentum here
Randy: And Jones is in serious trouble
Buddy pick Eddie up but is caught with a quick kick to the gut and a DDT. Eddie covers
1…
2…
Kick out!!
Randy: And just like that the tide has turned
Jones picks Eddie up and lands a lovely snap suplex. He goes to the top rope quickly
Cline: What does Jones have in mind here?
Randy: I believe we’re about to find out
Jones dives off the top rope and lands a piture perfect elbow drop. He makes the cover
1…
2…
Thr… NO!!!
Buddy Kicks out of the pin as Jones sits up in disbelief. Jones pciks Buddy up and executes a pendulum back breaker. He holds him across his knee and stretches him by the head and the legs. He applies the hold hard, putting pressure on the back of Buddy. He begins to yell “Ask him!” at the referee, who asks Buddy if he wants to submit. Buddy declines and begins to fire wild shots to the face and head of Jones, loosening the grip. He breaks free of the hold and continues with the shots.
Randy: Buddy fighting out here
Buddy continues with the shots and backs Jones up to the ropes. He Irish whips Jones to the opposite side and bows his head. Jones holds onto the ropes, though, causing Buddy to stand back up right. Jones kicks Buddy and plants him with the Downward Spiral. He covers
1…
2…
Kick out!!
Cline: There is still life in the champion
Jones quickly locks in a Fujiwara arm bar. He wrenches on the hold and keeps yelling “Ask him… ask him” as Buddy yells in pain. Buddy screams and writhes reaching out for the ropes. He makes it there and the referee calls for the break
Cline: And Buddy makes it to the ropes
Randy: But what untold damage has been dome to the arm
Like a shark smelling blood in the water, Jones pounces on the arm and hammers away on it. He pulls Buddy up and lands a single arm DDT, wrenching at the arm. Jones clubs at the arm more as Buddy screams.
Cline: Buddy in considerable pain
Jones picks up Buddy and lands a hammerlock scoop slam. He locks in the shor arm scissors
Randy: This could be it
Buddy, though, is close to the ropes and is able to gain another rope break. Quickly, Jones begins to stamp on the arm again and locks in another Fujiwara arm bar. This time though he gets a little desperate and uses the ropes for added leverage. The referee does not see this at first.
Randy: Jones is a damn cheat
Cline: It ain’t cheating if you don’t get caught remember
The referee still hasn’t seen the feet on the ropes but then one of Jones legs slips of the ropes and they all shake. Seeing this the referee turns around and sees the remaining leg on the rope. This causes him to order the break. Jones doe so but then signals for the Breaking Point.
Randy: If he hits this it is over
Jones picks Buddy up and places him in the suplex position, also trapping the other arm in a hammerlock for added effect. He lifts him high but, because he doesn’t have a grip of Buddy’s attire, Buddy escapes out of the hold to behind Jones. He quickly applies the “Mardi Gras Hangover and drops backwards, applying the half guard from behind also.
Randy: out of nowhere with that modified Katahajime. Jones is fading fast. It could be over
Jones though, will not tap. He cannot make it to the ropes either and he begins to fade. His arms and his head goes limp and his eyes close. Buddy camps on the hold further. The referee, fearing for the safety of Jones, steps in and waves the match off. He wrenches Buddy off Jones.
Cline: Buddy has choked out Jones
Ding ding
Barlow: Ladies and gentlemen your winner by referee’s stoppage… the Mid Atlantic Champion… Buddy Love Johansson
Buddy is handed his belt as he leans, exhausted, against the ropes as the referee then checks on Jones. Buddy leaves the ring and walks up the ramp. He reaches the top and raises the belt high

Barlow: And his opponent… now residing in Miami Florida… weighing 240lbs… The Last True Warrior… Meltdown!!
As the opening guitar riffs play, blue smoke pours out of the entrance for a short while as the first verse plays.
As the chorus kicks in, the smoke quickly stops and Meltdown walks out quickly, tightening his mask and walking down the ramp quickly with Tavi by his side. He slaps the hands of a few fans before walking quickly up the steps and entering the ropes, getting onto one knee and bowing his head. Tavi slides in and takes off the mask, kissing him on the forehead. She takes off his robe and folds it over her shoulder, placing the mask onto the turnbuckle before sliding out. Meltdown starts pacing around the ring, waiting for his opponent or staring out his opponent
Randy Gordon: And this one should be good. We’ve got the Last Crusader going one on one with the Last True Warrior
Josh Cline: yeah but who will be the Last Man Standing?
With this comment from Cline the camera cuts to Tony Hunters office. He is busy with paper work but this comment causes him to look up from his desk at the monitor in the room. He thinks for a moment resting his chin on his hand before sinking back into his chair as we head back to the ring
By now both men are ready to lock up. They engage and begin to push back and forth. Knight drops down to his knees and takes meltdown over with a fireman’s carry takeover. He holds Meltdown in an arm lock. He clenches the hold down, pushing the head away from the shoulder
Randy: Knight working the arm now
Meltdown begins to his feet. Knight tries to keep him down but cannot. Meltdown picks up Knight and is able to land a sidewalk slam, which winds the Last Crusader. Meltdown stands up and picks Knight up also. He scoops him up and slams them down hard. He stands at the side of him and drops down with a snap leg drop. He covers

Randy: Kick out early by Knight but Meltdown is still in control.
Meltdown picks up Knight and Irish whips him into the corner. Meltdown charges after him and catches him with the avalanche. He whips him into the opposite corner hard, causing him to step back out into the ring. Meltdown catches him with a hard clothesline. He covers his man
1…
2…
Kick out!!
Meltdown gets up and picks Knight up again and applies the Bear hug. He clamps down tight on the back of Knight who yells in pain. The ref asks him if he wants to submit but he refuses. Instead he fires short elbows to the head. He escapes the hold as Meltdown shakes off the cobwebs. He turns back down and Knight catches him with a dropkick.
Randy: Hard dropkick by Knight
Meltdown gets up and is caught with another dropkick. He stands back up and is this time caught with a drop toe hold and an elbow drop to the back of his neck. Gets up and lands another elbow drop. He rolls him over and covers him
1…
2…
Kick out!!
Knight sits up annoyed. He stands and signals for the Burning Rage. He hoists him up and signals for the move. He, however, recovers and sneaks out the back. Knight turns and is caught with a hard, stiff kick to the head, knocking him out.
Cline: Stomach churning kick delivered Randy
Randy: That is concussion at the very least. Knight isn’t moving
Meltdown picks Knight up quickly and primes him for the Toxic shock
Randy: Someone’s got to stop this
Meltdown delivers the Shock and pins Knight

Thr… Meltdown pulls Knights head and shoulders off the mat
Randy: Oh what the hell?
Meltdown picks Knight up again and signals for the Curse. He hoists him up and executes it. The look on his face is euphoric, almost orgasmic. He holds his man in position

Joe Barlow: Ladies and gentlemen your winner… Meltdown!!!
Meltdown pushes Knight away as EMT’s head to the ring to check on Knight who is coming to

Randy Gordon: OK ladies and gentlemen it is now time for our main event which will feature the return of Mick Cormac. Cormac announced his return at Red, White and Bruised. Let's take a look at the way in which he did it Randy Gordon: We are back from a commercial break, folks and I have just been informed that we’re having a surprise Cormac’s Tavern here tonight. “You are the One” by Shiny Toy Guns hits in the arena and Tony Hunter appears on the stage. Josh Cline: And it looks like the General Manager is also back…he must be the guest. Tony turns to his right on the stage and walks toward the set where Cormac’s Tavern is set up and Mick Cormac is sat on a stool. As Hunter gets closer, Cormac and offers his hand for a shake as Hunter sets his hand over Cormac pulls the offer back and smoothes his hair back. Hunter surprised by the motion goes to take a seat on one of the stools, Cormac quickly kicks the stool from underneath Tony. Furious by the embarrassment in front of the packed arena Hunter stands up yelling and furiously wagging his finger at Cormac. Cormac (with a sly half smirk): Guinness? Tony (grabbing a mic): How dare you pull this on my… Cormac drains the pint and smashes the empty glass over Hunters head. Tony is laid out on the ground clutching at a bleeding forehead. Cormac: Let’s get something straight Mr. Hunter, the sign behind me says Cormac’s Tavern not Tony Cocksuckers, and I will not be made into some little peon for you to push around and ask questions like some little bitch. My name is Mick Cormac, look at me you little bastard (grabs Tony Hunter by the collar of his shirt) my name is Mick Cormac the Irish Brawler and I’m back. When you go back stage you tell all those assholes back there that terror has been unleashed! You tell em’ that I’m back and that their end is coming! “Barroom Hero” by Dropkick Murphy’s kicks up on the P.A. and the crowd starts to cheer as Mick starts to play up to them. As he turns to go backstage Tony is back up on his feet with a stool in hand and starts to swing at Cormac but is met with a boot to the gut. Mick hooks Hunter into the Emerald Isle Sting, laying the man out. Cormac stands up quickly, spits on Hunter, and continues to play to the crowd. {The scene fades as POW show a commercial for DVD’s currently available.} Josh Cline: This caused tonight matchw ith David Hunter as the special referee. This one... should be interesting. We'll be right back with the main event

Randy Gordon: Welcome everybody, back to The Road to Ocean City Slam. Next we’ve got the main event…
Josh Cline: This match has been anticipated all night by every fan in the arena. Let’s not make them wait any longer.
The chorus of “You know my name” hits as “The Predator” Dave Hunter appears on the stage. Dave stands on the stage with his POW Referee shirt on. He raises out his arms, met with many boos from the crowd.
Joe Barlow: Ladies and Gentlemen, on his way to the ring, tonight’s special guest referee, he is the POW:NE Director of Authority, David Hunter!!!
He grins and arrogantly walks down to the ring and slides underneath the bottom rope. Dave then stretches his arms out and poses in the centre of the ring and the music fades. He stands in the corner.
Then, “Barroom Hero” by Dropkick Murphy hits and Mick Cormac walks out at the top of the stage. He raises his bat and than plays the crowd as he walks down the ramp.
JB: First, from Cork, Ireland, weighing 280 pounds, Mick Cormac!!!
Cormac climbs the steps and into the ring as the hard-rock cover of "You Spin Me Round" begins play, John Anthony bursts through the curtain bustling with energy. He stops to look around, first at one side of the crowd, and then the other with the POW Eastern Heavyweight Title over his shoulder.
JB: And, one of his opponents, from Nashville Tennessee, weighing 217 pounds, The NEW POW Eastern Heavyweight Champion, John Anthony!!
He points his fingers up in the air as the lights shift focus from him to the ceiling, and then John thrusts his hands downward while the lights begin to flicker and dance around. He struts to the ring just as the chorus hits and slides into the ring with a smile. Standing up, he runs to the corner, hops on the second rope and winks to the crowd.
“Hall of the Mountain King” by the Who hits the speakers.
JB: And finally, from Flat Rock, Ohio, weighing 220 pounds, Zevon!
Nobody appears on the stage…
JB: From Flat Rock, Ohio, weighing 220 pounds, Zevon!!!
The music stops and a man wearing a black POW:NE shirt appears on the stage. He quickly walks down the the ring and hands a piece of paper to David Hunter. Hunter nods and gives the piece of paper to Barlow, instructing him to read out what is on it…
Joe Barlow: Ladies and Gentlemen, I have been instructed by Mr Hunter to read out the following;
To whom it may concern,
My name is Jake Jackson and I am with the maintenance department of the New Alhambra Center in Philadelphia. While cleaning the arena Sunday night after your wrestling event I discovered a man sulking in the shadows of the arena. Upon closer inspection I discovered that he was sitting in a lawn chair mumbling to himself something about his “precious.” Seeing that he was mentally distressed, I offered him a drink. After a long, cold stare he ordered a Cherry Coke and a roast beef sandwich. I obliged, as in my experience it is best to leave the law out of such situation as they only screw things up worse.
While enjoying his refreshment, Zevon became lucid and we spoke several minutes about his cat and Mexican help. He then again became sullen and drifted into what I can only describe of as bat shit crazy. From what I could decipher he was debating himself on who would win in a fight to the death between Spiro Agnew and Ronald Reagan. During this time a lone light bulb was flickering in the corner making for an eerie scene. When I attempted to fix it, Zevon shouted “AMBIANCE.” Needless to say I contacted a mental health professional who arrived early Monday afternoon. Zevon suggested I contact his doctor, Vinny Boombatz, but a short internet search returned only a series of one-liners. The doctor evaluated Zevon and offered him medication to clear his mind. Zevon’s only response to the doctor was “Drugs are bad, mmmkay.”
As of Friday evening, JR Zevon is still in the arena and is not of fit mind to drive to the next show. I offered to arrange for alternative transportation but Mr. Zevon refused. During a moment of lucidness, Zevon confided that he only travels by road, in a 1998 Ford Taurus, because quote “I am the only being worthy of transporting such valuable cargo.” Unfortunately, this means that Mr. Zevon will not be in attendance for your event in Fairfield, Maine as he is still living in a lawn chair in Philadelphia.
Zevon sends his regards to Miss Stephie Campbell and wishes to inform Zach Moore that he is not Lee Cash. Whatever that means.
P.S: I would appreciate if in the future, you would leave less empty wine coolers in the backstage area. It smelled like effin’ Mardi Gras back here. I can only wonder where the horse shit came from.
P.P.S: Could you please send someone to get his crazy ass out of my building?
Sincerely, Jake Jackson, maintenance, The New Alhambra Center
Josh Cline: Okaay! Zevon’s turning into POW’s Gollum…
Randy Gordon: Don’t, Josh! The man’s obviously in deep distress!
David Hunter takes the microphone from Barlow.
David: Okay, so Zevon cannot compete tonight, therefore the following is now a one on one no disqualification match!
Mick Cormac vs. John Anthony
~Ding Ding~
Cormac and Anthony lock up in a collar and elbow tie up. Anthony pulls away and hits Cormac with a quick uppercut. Cormac staggers backwards and Anthony quickly applies a headlock from behind. Cormac fights back and elbows Anthony in the abdomen. He hits Anthony with several uppercuts. Anthony falls onto the ropes. Cormac stalks him and as Anthony regains his composure, Cormac hits him with a German Suplex.
RG: What a Suplex there from Cormac!
Cormac goes to the outside and looks under the ring. He pulls out a table and slides it into the ring. He slides under the bottom rope and he stands the table up next to the ropes. He picks up Anthony and puts him on the table. Cormac goes to the top rope but Anthony rolls off the table before Cormac jumps. He jumps down from the top rope and walks over to Anthony. He goes to kick him in the gut but Anthony grabs his foot and hits him with a couple of right jabs before irish whipping him into the corner. He follows up with a clothesline, knocking Cormac down, sat In the corner.
Anthony picks up the table and props it up in the opposite corner. Anthony walks over and pulls Cormac out of the corner. He irish whips him into the table, breaking it into three pieces. Anthony goes to the outside looking for other weapons under the ring. He grabs a steel chair and throws it into the ring. He also gets a sledge hammer and throws that in aswell.
JC: Things aren’t really looking good for Cormac are they?
RG: Not at all, Josh. The champion is on the attack here!
Anthony gets back into the ring and drags Cormac out of the corner. He picks him up and drops him in the middle of the ring. David Hunter picks up all the remains of the table and throws them to the outside.
RG: Hunter having a little cleanup there.
JC: Yeah, giving them two more room to kick the hell out of each other!
Anthony picks up Cormac and he attempts to lift Cormac for a piledriver but Cormac reverses it and throws Anthony over his head. Cormac picks up Anthony and hits him with an inverted crucifix powerbomb.
RG: Now I do believe he calls that the Irish Car Bomb…
JC: Nice! I bet Anthony feels like a bomb’s just gone off in his spine.
Cormac picks up Anthony and hits him with a belly to belly Suplex. He picks him up again and goes for another but Anthony stands stiff and fights strongly, avoiding being lifted up off the mat. Cormac lets go and Anthony hits him with a delayed missile dropkick. He goes to the top rope and waits for Cormac to stand before attempting another dropkick, this time from the top rope. He jumps from the top rope but Cormac pulls Hunter infront of him and Anthony hits him instead!
RG: Oh my God! Anthony’s just hit Hunter with a dropkick from the top rope.
JC: Clever move by Cormac!
Cormac stands in the corner with his arms folded shaking his head in disgust with a grin on his face.
Anthony hits Cormac with two uppercuts before hitting a T-Bone Suplex. Anthony stalks Cormac and as he stands up, he picks up the steel chair. As he swings it back he catches David Hunter right in the face, knocking him to the mat and rolling out of the ring in pain. Anthony stands with his hands on his head, yet with a grin on his face and Cormac takes advantage. Anthony turns around and is hit with an Emerald Isle Sting. He covers Anthony but realises there’s no referee. He goes to the outside and picks up Dave and slides him into the ring. He picks Dave up and covers Anthony again. Dave is still coming to and he doesn’t count the pin. Cormac stands up and slaps Dave in the face, much to the crowd’s delight.
RG: Ooh! Bad Move. Really Bad Move!!!
Dave still isn’t 100% and Cormac picks up the steel chair and smashes him in the face with it again.
Cormac: Hopeless piece of Shit!
RG: Very nice of Mr Cormac. Perhaps we should get another ref out here?
JC: That’d be a good idea.
Cormac picks up Anthony who starts to fight back, now that he’s had time to recover. He hits Cormac with a DDT onto the mat and walks over to Dave Hunter. He slaps him a couple of times in the face softly but Dave stays on the mat. He goes to the outside and takes a bottle of water from the announcer’s table.
JC: Woah woah woah! That’s mine!
RG: He’s the Eastern Heavyweight Champion, Cline. He can do that.
JC: I couldn’t give a rat’s ass if he was the President of the United States. That’s my water!
RG: Here! Have mine…Christ!
Anthony opens the bottle and pours the water on Hunter’s face, attempting to help him come too.
RG: Still nothing…yeah. We should get another ref down here!
Anthony gets back in the ring and Cormac charges at him and hits him with a hard clothesline. Anthony gets up and Cormac hits him with a snap Suplex.
At this point, referee George Chip appears on the stage and runs down to the ring.
He puts the steel chair and the un-used sledge hammer to the outside. Cormac climbs the top rope and goes to hit some kind of splash but Anthony rolls out of the way. Cormac rolls around for a second or two holding his abdomen. Anthony picks Cormac up and he irish whips him into the ropes, and hitting him with a clothesline. Cormac hits the mat and Anthony goes to the top rope. He waits for Cormac to stand up before hitting him with a flying clothesline.
RG: Oh! What a move by Anthony. Great agility!
He covers Cormac.
1…2…
Kick Out!
He waits for Cormac to stand before hitting yet another clothesline.
1…2…
Kick Out!
Cormac stands up again and Anthony hits him with a belly to belly release Suplex.
Anthony goes to the outside and picks up the steel chair. He gets back into the ring and attempts to hit him in the head but Cormac ducks. Anthony drops the chair and turns around. He is met with a kick to the gut. Cormac grabs Anthony’s head and locks in a side headlock. He goes for a DDT but Anthony delivers a few fists to the abdomen and hits a Double-Underhook DDT.
RG: Anthony has just hit Even the odds!
JC: That is it!
1…2…3!!!
Joe Barlow: Ladies and Gentlemen your winner, POW Eastern Heavyweight Champion; John Anthony!!!
Anthony is handed his title and he holds it up to the crowd as his music hits and the fans cheer him! He leaves the ring. He walks around to the other side of the ring where Dave Hunter is lying on the floor. He holds the title to Hunter’s face and begins to shout obscenities to him. George Chip ushers him away and follows him up the ramp. He holds his title up again at the top of the ramp and leaves through the curtain. The camera goes back into the ring where Cormac is knelt holding onto the ropes with his hands on his head as Anthony leaves. He stands up, and stood behind him is Dave Hunter, with a slight cut on his forehead with sledge hammer in hand.
RG: Oh dear! Watch out Cormac!!!
JC: What do you mean, watch out? Cormac hit Hunter in the face with a steel chair!
RG: Well yeah! But Cormac could’ve won the match but Hunter was to out of it!
JC: It wasn’t his fault he got hit in the face with a steel chair!
RG: Yeah I suppose…but that time it was unintentional by Anthony!
Cormac turns round and Hunter smashes him in the face with the sledge hammer. He drops the hammer on the mat and stares at Cormac.
“You know my Name” by Chris Cornell hits and Dave raises his arms as the crowd boo him. He stands in the ring staring at Cormac who is lying on the mat, holding his head. Dave leaves the ring and walks slowly backward up the ramp. As he gets to the top, Dave’s music stops and “You are the One” by Shiny Toy Guns hits and POW:NE General Manager, Tony Hunter appears on the stage. He walks onto the stage and stands next to his son. Cormac slowly gets to his feet.
Tony: First of all, can I just say that we will get Zevon out of the New Alhambra Center! John Anthony, I don’t know what you or your girlfriend have been smoking but have a little think, champ. The fact your girlfriend turned you down has nothing to do with my son. So you can forget whatever your thinking. You go anywhere near him again, and I will suspend your ass! You have enough on your plate…JR Zevon! He will be back at Ocean City Slam to cash in his rematch clause against you in the main event! It won’t just be your average match though. It’ll be John Anthony vs. JR Zevon in a Cage match for the POW Eastern Heavyweight Championship. So, John, forget Dave and concentrate on Zevon.
The crowd go wild at this announcement.
Randy Gordon: Woah! A cage match! That should be very interest…
Tony: But now for the main reason I’m out here! Cormac! I’ve had it with you, you irish piece of shit! First you smash a glass over my head and now your smashing a… “referee” in the face with a steel chair. Well, I find it a disgrace and you Cormac, you disgust me! You want me out of Power on Wrestling? Well I want rid of you! That is why, at Ocean City Slam, it’s gonna be you versus a wrestler of my choice. You lose, and you’re gone from New England! My wrestler loses, and I will leave Power on Wrestling…but that ain’t gonna happen, ‘cause I’m gonna make sure that I get a wrestler that you’ll never be able to defeat. I will find someone, Cormac; someone that you will be destroyed by. I will search my locker room, I’ll search Midwest’s locker room. Hell, I’ll get onto the phone to every promoter in the country if I have to but I will find a man that you will NEVER be able to defeat!
That isn’t necessary, dad! You don’t need to go looking for a wrestler. Mick Cormac! You have stepped over the line! Nobody smashes me in the face with a steel chair and gets away with it. And that little sledge hammer incident wasn’t payback. Oh no! At Ocean City Slam, it’s Mick Cormac vs. “The Predator” David Hunter, who is returning for one night only! You better get on the phone to Capaci to see if he’ll have you in Midwest after OCS, but saying that, when I’ve finished with you, there’ll be nothing left of you for Capaci to have.
Dave grins and walks through the curtain. Mick stares at him with a smile on his face as Tony stands on the ramp watching the curtain in shock.
Randy Gordon: Wow! That is massive. David Hunter is coming out of retirement for one night only to fight for his father’s survival in POW: NE!
Josh Cline: I’m in shock…David retired…and now he’s back! Wow!
Randy: Yeah, this is big! Ladies and Gentlemen, that is all we have time for. See you next week!
