POW Wrestling News
POW Wrestling has officially signed four talented wrestlers to their roster, with another expected to work out the details of their contract within the next 24 to 48 hours. The tag team of the Kansas City Dudes, comprising of the Kansas City Mad Man and the Kansas City Bad Boy were the first to sign contracts with POW. They were followed by returning Triple Crown Champion, Josh Eagles. The fourth is a newcomer to POW, Evan Smith.
The Kansas City Dudes began their pro wrestling career in Power On Wrestling which itself is based out of Kansas City. The KC Dudes were a fixture in the first months of POW's development and have resigned with hopes of greater accomplishments. The team is comprised of the Kansas City Bad Boy and the Kansas City Mad Man.
Evan Smith, a 29 year old hardcore and highlflyer from Detriot, has signed on with Power On Wrestling. At 5'11" and 214 pounds, he has the potential to be a star in both the heavyweight and the cruiserweight division should POW implement a title for that weight class. "I knew I was going to sign him the minute he walked into my office," POW owner Tito Capaci said. "Just by his strut I could see that he was probably a little bit arrogant, but that it came with the promise of backing it up."
The biggest star to sign on with POW thus far, however, has to be Josh Eagles. Eagles has always risen to the top of all the promotions he has wrestled for. As POW was sold over to Eagles to form SPEAR, Eagles was the reigning Triple Crown Champ, holding the three most prestigious singles titles in the company. POW insiders and fans are unsure as to what to make of this development.
Finally, it can be confirmed that the fiery vixen, Fire, is very close to working out the final parts of contract deliberations with Power On Wrestling. Fire put an end to any questions as to a woman's place in pro wrestling by compiling an impressive list of accomplishments in Power On Wrestling. Fire has accomplished herself both as a dangerous singles opponent and an excellent tag team partner. She will provide a little "hotness" for POW fans and POW opponents in the ring.
POW Business News
Tito Capaci has finished the contract with the Ameristar Casino in Kansas City to assure POW a place to wrestle over the next several months. POW has guaranteed the Ameristar Casino the first two full months of POW performances will take place within their Star Pavilion. POW has guaranteed a number a total number of performances over the next six months, but that number has not been disclosed.
While wrestling fans and experts know that Josh Eagles will have an impact on the wrestling issues concerning POW, insiders are curious as to how the return of Josh Eagles will affect the business side of POW. While there is some legal debate over who know owns what, it can be expected that Josh Eagles and Tito Capaci will have some back-channel talks and heated conversations to resolve these issues. Will they spill out into the public during the shows themselves?
Finally, Tito Capaci has announced the first DVD Taping for Power On Wrestling's return will be titled "Rebirth." The theme song will be "Here I go Again" by Whitesnake. The show will be, by contract, inside the Ameristar Casino's Star Pavilion in Kansas City.
