Unpredictablity makes pro wrestling more than just two athletes perfoming high-octane moves and pinning each other for victories. Storylines and angles take pro wrestling to that extra dimension and it keeps us from knowing exactly what will happen next. I don't mean not knowing who will win and who will lose each match. Rather, I mean it keeps us from knowing if this stable will recruit another wrestler this week. Will a certain someone interfere his or her rival's match? The staff here at Power On Wrestling don't pretend to be that much more creative than you. With the Request Form, you can now ask to interfer in a match with someone. You can create a stable with those that were once bitter enemies. And the other wrestlers in this company can be stunned at the results.
But don't believe the Request Form is used solely for the use of major events like the creation of a stable or the interferance of a match. If you want to request a short shot of your limo pulling up to the arena and you stepping out, that is fine. If you want to pass a buddy of yours in the hall and wish him good luck against a rival of yours, that is fine too. If you think it would be neat? Request it. The worst thing that can happen is we turn it down.
Here are the basic guidelines for the Request Form.
1. Use the Format
2. Be brief. Don't write the interference up. We'll write it if it is used. I would hate for you to write up an entire segment and it not be able to be used. If it's just a ring promo, that's entirely different. You may right up a promo where YOU are the ONLY worker involved.
3. Understand that it is a REQUEST. That means it may or may not be used. We will use it if we can, but if it interferes with major storylines or angles, or if we just don't think it would make good television, we can't/won't use it. If you want to interfere, someone else may have already asked to interfere. We will have to choose to one over the other.
4. You can't expect your requests to be used every week. Use them liberally, but don't send us trash. The more thought out and purposeful your request, the more likely it is to be used.
5. Understand that if you do get to interfere, it may not cost that person the match. You may accidentally hit the person you were trying to help. Happens all the time...
6. Don't mistake these for roleplays. You can't roleplay through a Request Form. In other words, you can't come out to the ring and trash talk your opponent or take on an interview through your Request Form.
7. Know that whatever happens in your request has NO BEARING on whether or not you win or lose your match. Your roleplays will be the primary source of deciding whether or not you win or lose. Angles and storylines are also weighted in the decision making process.
8. Like I said before, be short and use the form.
9. MOST IMPORTANT- DO NOT POST YOUR REQUEST ON THIS FORUM. They are suppose to be secret so that only the submitter and staff now about the possibility of what might take place. SEND ME A PRIVATE MESSAGE USING THE REQUEST TEMPLATE. If you post them here it will not be considered for the show. Period.
